  • Very nice updated unit

"This was a very clean and pleasant unit with updated kitchen and bath and nice furnishings. It is very conveniently located between the Newport and Balboa piers, but closer to Newport where the restaurants are. We were disappointed that the bed was not comfortable, but other than that it was great."

  • Great Vacation Spot

"In general we had a great time, below are our thoughts: 1, Great location. On the sand, close to all the action spots in Newport 2, Super clean, we rented the bottom floor and it was spotless 3, Staff was very helpful, from the moment we got there until I recieved a call from them that we had forgotten something. Very proffecional! The only negative was that the laundry was shared and across the parking lot. (I was used to haveing it in the last unit I rented). 4, we will rent this unit again!"

  • Excellent service

"I stayed with friends and all of our children, ages 2 through 16. The location was so nice, close enough to restaurants, shops, and the beach that we could walk or bike to them all. Removed enough for peace and quiet relaxation on the upper deck when desired. We all had space to spread out, and enjoyed our stay immensely. The manager stopped by when we needed help with all the tv and sound system, and was quite helpful and friendly. Even after we returned home, the excellent service continued. My daughter had left several personal items behind ( ah..teenagers...). The managers were ever so helpful in locating them and returning them to us. We are so grateful, and look forward to returning to stay again!"

  • Quaint property close to the beach

"#1 item is "yes" we would stay here again given the opportunity. The property looks exactly like the website pictures which was nice. The house was what we thought it would be. In fact the house states it is only 850 Sq Ft but it feels larger than that. For the two of us that stayed the whole week plus two that stayed just a couple of days we never were in each other's way. When we arrived the property was clean (mostly - more on that later) and ready to enjoy. We plopped our bags down then took a 1/2 block walk to the beach. There is an outside hose to rise the sand off. The kitchen was modestly appointed. We had what was needed to cook breakfast and snacks at night. It does have a dishwasher. The TV was OK, but TV is not the reason we rented the property - the beach & short walk to the pier were. The beds were comfortable however the pillows were very, very soft. If you want a medium to firm pillow bring your own. We never used the pull out in the couch. There is no washer/dryer. That wasn't an issue for us with clothes as we had a week's worth but it was to wash the bathroom towels. Since we stayed long enough we got to use the garage. I would not rent a property without a dedicated, indoor or outdoor, space as the parking in the area is horrible. We rented a Dodge Journey SUV and it fit. A vehicle larger than that might not fit but the Journey is pretty good sized so the garage space should work for most people. There are some quirks that took the score down from a 5 to a 4 star. All but one should be really easy to resolve. Whereas the majority of the property was clean the heater and the bathroom vent both look like that hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Surprising considering the rest of the property. There is no "closable" window in the bathroom. It is a slat window which means there are air gaps. In the summer this might not matter but when its is cold outside and the wind is blowing you'll certainly notice it. As mentioned in other reviews the wi-fi is bad. In the bedrooms the connection was OK (for speed) and reliable but once you went into the living room, or even the kitchen counter all bets were off. The wi-fi may have issues but apparently the garage door opener doesn't. We accidentally pressed it at the kitchen counter. Just out of curiosity I went around back & the garage door was open. We were super cautious after that."
