  • We love the studio

"We had a great experience with the studio. It was perfect for our family of four. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very close to the beach and other locations we wanted to visit."

  • Lovely place, great location

"The property was much as pictured. A few rooms had been renovated and were not the same as in the pictures. Our family of 15 - 9 adults and 6 small children - found the house very comfortable. All the kids slept in one room (with the exception of the youngest) and loved that. The beds were comfortable for most of us. There were plenty of sheets, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, ping pong, board games, puzzles and books. The kids had fun with the floor size checkers. The guest house was quiet and comfortable. The WIFI worked wonderfully and the TV reception was great The pool and hot tub were wonderful. There is a remote control for the heat in the pool and the heat and jets in the hot tub. We could turn up the heat a bit before we wanted to swim and it was ready for us. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and the adults and kids in the hot tub. We didn't get a chance to use the sauna or the fire pit but they were there. Grocery is within 10 minutes and urgent care too . We unfortunately had to take advantage of that for one of the kids. Our outings were to the zoo- maybe 45 minutes away ,the beach- 20 minutes away, Torrey Pines and Elfin Forest for hiking- both about 20 minutes if I remember correctly. There are numerous restaurants and a pizza delivery place nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the view is lovely. The only negative I can think of is that there was only 1 closet where you could hang things. No closets in most of the bedrooms, including the guest house. Our family really enjoyed the place and would definitely return."

  • Great base for a family vacation.

"We had 5 adults and one toddler stay here for 4 nights. The property is right off the 163, so the location is wonderful. We took walks in the morning around the neighborhood and found a neighborhood park about a 7 minute walk from the house which was great for our dog and toddler. We were 5 minutes from a Trader Joe’s and other grocery stores, 15 minutes to the beach, Balboa Park, Old Town – everything you could want. The house itself was very clean, with new updated kitchen and baths, a well-stocked pantry/kitchen and plenty of linens. The game room was great – and even had board games for younger children. The owner, Lael, was very friendly and accommodating and checked in with us before our arrival. Everything was as described and better than expected. We will definitely use this rental again for our family trips to San Diego. Thank you, Lael!"

  • Lovely holiday home!

"Our family of five adults(from England) spent 2 weeks at this lovely house. We arrived late in the evening, so were very grateful for the essential food items left for us by Lea. The house and facilities were first class and the views stunning! An ideal location for amenities and sightseeing. Overall an excellent holiday!"
