  • Dreamy on the beach away from maddening crowds San Diego!

"Eleganst, tastefully decorated, travertine, granite, soothing and inviting art on the walls not competing with Sail Bay view through wall off glass, yet homey-comfortable. Has every amenity u might want or need to cook gormet or enjoy plethora of fine dining from low cost to spendy...temp controlled wine bar too. Deluxe powerful jetted two person tub plus glassed-in shower and lots of shelving and storage for your things in bathroom and rest of home...solid king bed and supportive queen Murphy drops in front of view. I loved being on the beach every day walking, riding supplied bicycles and interacting with a locale that felt local - most are from surrounding neighborhood. Super polite condo neighbors whether visitors or homeowners. Spotless beach with CLEAN sand unlike Santa Monica Palisades filth. I didn't realize how very special Rivierra Drive million dollar homes are (this one bedroom easily sleeps 4 is over $800,000, at over 900 sq feet could be a 2bedrm but instead maximizes fabulous view! Perfect. + elevator close yet far enough to not be noisy. 👌Washer/dryer. I didn't realize how exclusive it is inside the Bay versus across the bay in a rental right on the Pacific Ocean which was a congested, cacophony, over run like a New York City sidewalk versus the quiet polite paved walking and riding all around the inside Bay...and a short stroll to the Catamaran Resort where we rented sailboats at less the cost of other boat rentals on the Bay. Music , happy hour, champagne brunch, lunches and dinners are 4 Star at the Catamaran - nice to avoid the Holiday sidewalk and road crowds to enjoy this resort, but found side streets and a short cruise to tony La Jolla. Just blocks away are great Mission Bay and Pacific Beach joy spots and shopping: Trader Joe's and Sprouts which suffice for those strung out on Whole Foods. Walk and ride a bike and never want to leave. Locals at surf spots south toward Cabrillo Park Ocean beach were decent to our surfer, and nearby Pacific Beach's Tourmaline surf break was wonderful - lots of beginners and tourists who were kind. Don't know if it's a positive or negative for one, but for me it was unusual and took me back to my childhood in the 60's and 70's in Los Altos Hills CA and Ashland Oregon: I saw almost exclusively on the beach around Sail Bay every day for a week 99% Caucasians. I adore RobinEspensen. She's considerate and available. She loves her 2nd home and hopes to have guests who do too."

  • Great stay in cottage very close to beach, restaurants, and shops.

"The cottage was clean, cute, and well stocked with everything we needed. The courtyard was very cute. It was quiet despite being very close to the street. We would definitely visit again and appreciated the prompt reservation and great directions."

  • Perfect for us!

"My husband and I spent a month here this summer and hated to leave. For one week of the rental, our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were with us. The house worked equally well in both cases. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. It is equipped with everything we needed and more. The location is great! We could easily walk to the bayside beach, the market and to restaurants. Actually, we walked everywhere except the golf course. The yard/garden was a wonderful place to relax and spend time. I guess the most telling comment is that we reserved for next summer before we left. We can't wait to be back here!"

  • Beautiful & clean town home centrally located

"This is a beautiful, clean and well kept 3 story town home. We had 5 adults for a family get together and there was plenty of space for all of us. Its centrally located to all that Hillcrest has to over, walking distance to many places including Balboa Park. The owner and his manager were easy to work with. I highly recommend this place."
