Recent Glen Ellen reviews

  • The house was clean, well maintained, nicely furnished and filled with everything needed.

"My family of 7 stayed over the Memorial Day weekend and everyone was very comfortable and pleasantly surprised with this home. The property is located North of Glen Ellen, easily accessible to numerous wineries, tasting rooms and restaurants. It has four bedrooms and a sofa sleeper, four bathrooms with showers, some with tubs, and comfortable open main floor space that leads to a wonderful deck with a great view of the valley. The owner is genuinely interested in providing a first class experience, which we had. And promptly replied to all my questions. With the pool, hot tub and available BBQ on the deck, it felt like home. There is a modern kitchen and it is fully stocked with dishes, pots, utensils etc... I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, well maintained home, that is centrally located for visiting Sonoma, with day trips to Santa Rosa and Napa within easy reach. As noted by the owner, The Glen Ellen Village Market is the place to shop for meals and other necessities during a stay. Thanks to the owners for sharing this unique property. We would return without hesitation."

  • Escape to tranquil, beautiful cottage

"We found this cottage the perfect fit for the couple looking for a serene, private escape from the usual crowds in wine country. We were very impressed with the its cleanliness, decor and sophisticated, well equipped kitchen and bath. Josh was excellent to work with and quite responsive. This property is managed about as efficiently and expertly as you could ever expect. Its central location to wineries in both Sonoma and Napa valleys is very appealing. The Glen Ellen market is just pure fun to shop for groceries to prepare meals at the cottage. Overall we found our stay here as comfortable as it gets. Add that to the amazing beauty of the location and you have unforgettable, pleasant experience - start to finish."

  • A majical place on top of the world

"We read all the great reviews and looked at the wonderful and enticing photos of this house high over Sonoma Valley, and then we arrived, walked in the door and found ourselves nearly speechless by the most spectacular view and an extremely accommodating and comfortable home away from home. The kitchen is well appointed with all the silverware, plates, coffee cups, pots, pans and glasses you'll ever need. Each bedroom is large with its own bathroom with nice linens and towels. The living room is very spacious with a very large flat screen TV with Direct TV service. The pool terrace area is far enough away from the house without being so far you can't just head up to grab another cold beer or glass of wine. The upper terrace with its very comfortable Adirondack chairs provided the perfect place to enjoy your first cup of coffee while checking out Sonoma Valley waking up below as well as the spot we found ourselves for every sunset and sometimes later for that last glass of wine. One early morning I saw two adolescent fox playing around the Adirondack chairs for about five minutes and was able to video them for our grandchildren. The landscaping around the house and pool is beautiful and offered a great variety. The location is so perfect with plenty of good restaurants in Glen Ellen and Sonoma (20 minutes south). We hiked around the Jack London Park as well as toured the spectacular Quarryhill botanical gardens just down at the end of Trinity Road on the way to Glen Ellen. While we have rented many homes in Sonoma and Napa Valley over the years, we've never felt compelled to rent the same house more than once. We will surely rent this house again."
