  • Impeccable

"It was all wonderful - well appointed, very comfortable bed, excellent appliances, big fluffy towels, nice big HD TV with Xfinity cable and internet. Lovely back patio with large oak trees providing dappled shade, so even if temp is hot, patio is very pleasant. There are lots of beautiful plants and flowers. Buzz and Lily are very congenial hosts and went out of their way to make our stay terrific. It's a delightfully peaceful/private location with a country feel but so close to everything."

  • Quaint Cabin in a beautiful secluded location

"I booked this cabin after very short notice from my friend that she was coming into town. Even with only a day to clean and prepare, the cabin was incredibly clean and filled with tons of maps and information about the nearby area. I honestly wasn't expecting too much probably because of my last minute booking, and really was blown away by how beautiful the cabin and area is. The cabin is surrounded by redwoods, and is very secluded. You can walk down to the river really easily, or just hang out in the living room gazing out at the redwoods. There's also two large decks, a hot tub, and even a canoe for cruising down the river. There's a lot to see and do nearby, especially if you want to do some wine tasting. Also, even with the drought and fires, the area around the cabin and really all along 116 still looks very lush and much less dry than other areas of California currently."

  • Loved our week there

"Great house, no complaints. Don't know if it is normal because of location or time of year but the river was quite windy and cold. The house is cozy, best family vacation!!"

  • Peaceful Retreat

"My wife and I met 32 years ago on 11/1, the Hideaway was perfect for peaceful 2 day stay. The hot tub was the first thing we noticed and within 5 minutes we were in our bathing suits ( after showering first) and enjoying ourselves in while a romantic light rain fell. The next day we went to Fort Ross and then to the Russian House #1 for dinner ( a very eclectic and hippyish feel). I would recommend staying at the Hideaway to friends, family and anyone interested in having time away from your normal routine."
