  • Wonderful Place to Stay!

"We spent four nights in the chalet. It is in a great location, close to the main highway which is convenient for sightseeing, yet far enough away and tucked in the trees for a true getaway feeling. You couldn’t ask for a better owner than Ken. He is very friendly and accommodating. The house is clean and comfortable and we felt at home. The hot tub is an added bonus to come back to in the evenings. It was nice to relax the muscles and enjoy the views of Pike National Forest and the starry sky after a day of hiking and sightseeing. We highly recommend this home if you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in Woodland Park. Mike & Lisa D. - Iowa Colony, Texas"

  • Great stay!

"Great nice to get away from things in SpringValley! Enjoyed the house, the lake and the wild life. In one day we saw bald eagles, a golden eagle and a red tailed hawk. Thanks Catherine!"

  • great family vacation rental

"We rented this house for our family vacation before school started. We had 2 adults and three kids, ages 10, 8, & 6. We all loved it! There were deer in the yard every day and the house was tucked into a nice neighborhood with woods all around. When we arrived, we noticed it was quite warm in the house, about 85 degrees. We found out there was no air conditioning and the house had been closed up with sun beating in the windows, so that made it heat up. Luckily, there were plenty of fans and we were able to stay plenty cool during the week. The house is completely stocked with plenty of towels, kitchen items, food items such as jelly, spaghetti sauce, ice cream toppings, etc. The movie and game selection is extensive, in the basement. The location was plenty close to Pikes Peak, NorthPole amusement park, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, Royal Gorge (1.5 hours drive), Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (feeding the giraffes is a once in a lifetime experience!), & shopping in Manitou Springs. There was plenty to keep us busy and out and about all week long! Such a fun and memorable trip. Our kids will never forget it!"

  • We loved this home!

"This is an amazing vacation rental! Beautifully and comfortably decorated, it is spotlessly clean, and has all the extra little touches that makes one feel pampered. We arrived in the evening to lights on, soft music playing, cookies on the table, and a personal welcome note from Karen, the owner. We immediately felt welcomed and quite at home. The house is very lovely, and the back yard is amazing. So well maintained, private, and with lots of nice spots to sit and visit or just relax. We also enjoyed having coffee on the front porch in the mornings, and watching movies in the comfortable TV room in the evenings, after an exhausting day of sightseeing. This home is in a great location, with just a short drive to all the attractions and lots of great restaurants. The owner, Karen, was very easy to work with in booking this vacation rental. She made sure that everything was in order so that we would have a worry free vacation. Thank you, Karen, for being such a great hostess! We highly recommend this vacation rental and hope to return here again!"
