  • Great location and comfy accommodations

"My husband and I spent 11 days in August and had a great time in the condo. Carl was very responsive and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars, but the stairs were a bit challenging for two senior citizens with luggage!"

"First I would like to say that I have 6 children ranging from the age of 9 to 19..... and the place accommodated all of us plus and additional family of 3.. Plenty of room. Close to the slopes and very easy to find. We loved the separate bathrooms for all of us. 4 bed/4 bath. Two of my boys slept on the couch in living room because they liked the fireplace, we have one at home so it was something they were used to :) .. they are 11 year old twins We have been to Colorado at least 20 plus times mostly in the summer (Telluride)but we also love winter sports so this was a nice treat for our family . The local are very friendly and carefree attitudes, which makes it nice when you are a larger family. The condo has a nice walk in area to store all of your snowboards and gear, which was nice for our big group. The mountain is amazing!!! I would stay here again, not much I can say as a negative reply so I rate it a 9.8 out of 10"

  • We look forward to staying here again!

"This too was our first visit to Crested Butte. The location is perfect! We were able to walk to the main street (Elk) to shop and grab a bite to eat, in a matter of's even a shorter walk to the bus stop to catch the shuttle to the base of the mountain. The house is set up so no one was on top of anyone, it comfortably accommodated 5 adults and dog. The hot tub was the perfect way to end each evening."

  • Excellent historic cottage in great location

"Our family of four stayed at Karla's over New Year's 2015 for a ski vacation. As other's have mentioned, the location of the cottage is fantastic if you wish to be in town. It was a short walk to the shopping, restaurants and bars of Elk, and the town bus stopped at 3rd and Whiterock, which is about 25' from the front door. We used the bus every day to the ski area and it was super easy, even for our 8 year old in his boots and carrying his skis. The local grocery store is only 3 blocks away, along with the liquor store. We didn't use our car the entire trip. The house is small, but you should expect that from an historic mining cabin. The kitchen is very well provisioned and the owners have done a great job decorating. It gets warm in the 2nd floor loft when using the wood stove, we had to crack a window. Alpine Getaways, the rental agent, is great, highly recommended."
