  • Better than the photos

"The photos do not adequately capture the unbelievable views from this house and the pristine nature of the inside. When I was researching crested Butte, I could not decide whether to stay in town or on the mountain… This house is right in between and allows you to access both quite easily . It is very close to the recreational path that goes between the two and my teenagers and I walked the path often both ways. The owner is very attentive and responsive. There are lots of guidebooks inside with things to do, hikes to take, and places to fish . We were there over July 4 and the view of the fireworks from the yard of the could not be beat. There is a nice back room which served as a second living room allowing the teenagers to spread out a bit. Great place. Great views. Clean. Kind owner."

  • Great downtown location

"It's a little funky, but that's the charm of Crested Butte. The location is excellent for taking advantage of downtown amenities and it's just three blocks to the town bus. Parking is very limited, (two spots, three if you squeeze) considering the number of people the house accommodates. Snow removal was scant on the patio adjacent to the river, but the kids took this as an opportunity to build a giant snow cave that wil probably be there until July. Beware of snow accumulating on the roof. It builds up immense, icy, hang fire before it drops onto the patio. The furniture and bedrooms are all comfortable, and it's great to have a bathroom for each bedroom. The listing implied that there was a hot tub, so it was disappointing to discover there was none. The in-floor heat was nice, but did nothing for the upstairs bedrooms, which would get cold at night, and we couldn't find any additional blankets. A small space heater for the upstairs bedrooms would be nice. The kitchen was well appointed and well designed for feeding a crowd. Overall, the place suited our needs and everyone had a good time. I would stay here again - particularly if they had a hot tub."

  • We look forward to staying here again!

"This too was our first visit to Crested Butte. The location is perfect! We were able to walk to the main street (Elk) to shop and grab a bite to eat, in a matter of minutes....it's even a shorter walk to the bus stop to catch the shuttle to the base of the mountain. The house is set up so no one was on top of anyone, it comfortably accommodated 5 adults and dog. The hot tub was the perfect way to end each evening."

  • Perfect spot for the 4th of July!

"There were nine of us here over 4th of July weekend this year and it was a fantastic weekend! Super close to Meridian/Long Lake, and some great biking trails. We also had an absolutely gorgeous view of the fireworks happening over at the resort which is just over the ridge. The house itself was the perfect size, we actually had way more room than needed since a few of our group dropped out, so we had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Susan was also absolutely fantastic to work with! She was very responsive, and gave us plenty of tips on the area. Absolutely would come here! Everyone loved it!"
