  • Comfortable Spot in Town

"We're a couple who stayed for the last week of March 2016. This is a nice property, and we'd be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Crested Butte. The property is a townhome in a house that has been divided into two units, located in the northeast part of town on Gothic Ave between 7th & 8th St. There is off-street parking in front of the property. The location means you can walk or cycle to anywhere in town, if you're so inclined, as the locals do. The front door opens to an entryway/mud room shared between the two units. When you enter your unit, on the ground floor are two equal-sized double bedrooms, a washer/dryer and a full bath. Upstairs on the second floor are the kitchen and living areas, along with another full bathroom. There is also a third floor loft bedroom, with yet another bathroom. The property faces north out on to Gothic Ave. An outdoor deck accessible from the upstairs living area features a gas barbecue grill and a great view of Mt. CB. We found everything in the property to be clean and in good condition. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. The living area is comfortable. Internet connectivity is good; we brought a Roku player which worked well. Showers had plenty of hot water. The owner provided prompt and friendly replies to any questions we had. A critique would be that that some parts of the property are well-equipped to the point of being cluttered, such as the kitchen cabinets (with cooking equipment) and the bedroom closets (with towels). But this is minor."

  • AMAZING--best place ever!

"We've been coming to Crested Butte for years and this is the best place we have ever stayed! The 3BR + 3BA setup is perfect for us and our 2 kids (6 & 3)--we're here all summer (until August). The views are amazing and the back patio has been so fun! Ingrid (and Rick) have been so good to work with--they have made our stay even better (ask them about the Yellow Submarine and the Chainless race!!). We love seeing them! Just a block from Rainbow Park and Town Park has been great for the kids. And, we walk or ride bikes to town everyday--this location is so convenient . We'll rent this home any summer they'll let us!! Thanks!!"

  • Excellent historic cottage in great location

"Our family of four stayed at Karla's over New Year's 2015 for a ski vacation. As other's have mentioned, the location of the cottage is fantastic if you wish to be in town. It was a short walk to the shopping, restaurants and bars of Elk, and the town bus stopped at 3rd and Whiterock, which is about 25' from the front door. We used the bus every day to the ski area and it was super easy, even for our 8 year old in his boots and carrying his skis. The local grocery store is only 3 blocks away, along with the liquor store. We didn't use our car the entire trip. The house is small, but you should expect that from an historic mining cabin. The kitchen is very well provisioned and the owners have done a great job decorating. It gets warm in the 2nd floor loft when using the wood stove, we had to crack a window. Alpine Getaways, the rental agent, is great, highly recommended."

  • Convenient and Comfortable

"The house is lovely, clean, comfortable, and only one block off main street. We could walk to any shop/restaurant in only a few minutes. The master bedroom/bath upstairs made us feel like royalty--with new carpet, luxurious bedding, and fluffy towels. Downstairs is just as welcoming with a nicely stocked kitchen, lots of windows, a back deck, and a front sun room. The living room includes comfortable furniture--perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking or skiing."
