  • Incredible Crested Butte Enhanced By These Accomodations

"My annual Ski/Ride trip strayed from Summit County this year to incredible Crested Butte. As the coordinator of this annual, indulgent affair, it is always my responsibility to find our accommodations and make it happen. I think I got lucky with the opportunity to work with Kimberly when booking. She spent several minutes on the phone with me walking me through the layout of the house, the town, the mountain. I felt like i knew her and was very appreciative of her time. And then I think I got lucky with the place. The house was perfect for a larger group of ski-clicking, snowboard riding, snow-surfing. knuckle-dragging, back bowl drawn adults who tend not to spend too much time sleeping or in our accommodations. This trip we didn't stray far from that, but the house made it nice to come back to and for a very comfortable stay. The location couldn't be beat--basically on the same block as the bus stop to Mt. CB and then just blocks from the world famous Elk Street. The house was perfect size and exceeding all expectations with how nice it was (maybe too nice for this crew). And Crested Butte..... I could take another 1500 words on the trip, the people, the mountain, the food.... and how I got lucky in Kimberly, in 620 Maroon, in CB....but then I realized about day two...It's CB! and it's what you should expect in what really is a gem in the Rockies. So instead of taking 1500 words, I'll simply sum it up...I can't wait to get back!"

  • License Plate House

"We had a great stay in Crested Butte at the License Plate House. The home is well appointed and comfortable. It is centrally located in the town of Crested Butte. We easily walked to restaurants (Elk Avenue Prime, Ginger Cafe, Lil's, and the Secret Stash); there is an organic grocer directly across the street and the coffee shop is next door. Directions to the home were easy to follow. Were got some great tips on places to cross country ski from the musician and bartender at the Princess Wine Bar. I would highly recommend the home."

"First I would like to say that I have 6 children ranging from the age of 9 to 19..... and the place accommodated all of us plus and additional family of 3.. Plenty of room. Close to the slopes and very easy to find. We loved the separate bathrooms for all of us. 4 bed/4 bath. Two of my boys slept on the couch in living room because they liked the fireplace, we have one at home so it was something they were used to :) .. they are 11 year old twins We have been to Colorado at least 20 plus times mostly in the summer (Telluride)but we also love winter sports so this was a nice treat for our family . The local are very friendly and carefree attitudes, which makes it nice when you are a larger family. The condo has a nice walk in area to store all of your snowboards and gear, which was nice for our big group. The mountain is amazing!!! I would stay here again, not much I can say as a negative reply so I rate it a 9.8 out of 10"

  • Better than the photos

"The photos do not adequately capture the unbelievable views from this house and the pristine nature of the inside. When I was researching crested Butte, I could not decide whether to stay in town or on the mountain… This house is right in between and allows you to access both quite easily . It is very close to the recreational path that goes between the two and my teenagers and I walked the path often both ways. The owner is very attentive and responsive. There are lots of guidebooks inside with things to do, hikes to take, and places to fish . We were there over July 4 and the view of the fireworks from the yard of the could not be beat. There is a nice back room which served as a second living room allowing the teenagers to spread out a bit. Great place. Great views. Clean. Kind owner."
