  • Excellent historic cottage in great location

"Our family of four stayed at Karla's over New Year's 2015 for a ski vacation. As other's have mentioned, the location of the cottage is fantastic if you wish to be in town. It was a short walk to the shopping, restaurants and bars of Elk, and the town bus stopped at 3rd and Whiterock, which is about 25' from the front door. We used the bus every day to the ski area and it was super easy, even for our 8 year old in his boots and carrying his skis. The local grocery store is only 3 blocks away, along with the liquor store. We didn't use our car the entire trip. The house is small, but you should expect that from an historic mining cabin. The kitchen is very well provisioned and the owners have done a great job decorating. It gets warm in the 2nd floor loft when using the wood stove, we had to crack a window. Alpine Getaways, the rental agent, is great, highly recommended."

  • Excellent Location Just Off Elk Ave, Crested Butte, CO

"Best end of Town, best location, at the best end of town, just off Elk Ave. Quiet at night, easy walk to ski bus at Old Town Hall. Easy walk to all shops, great restaurants. Beautiful kitchen, fully stocked with Jenn-Air gas range. Awesome view of the "Butte" from kitchen window. Comfortable beds and furniture, with the best Japanese soaking tub in the master bath:) We keep coming back to this location year after year and love our time here! Oh ya, almost forgot, did I mention we don't carry our skis and poles around town....this pad comes with its own ski locker at the Treasury Center on the mountain. love it."

  • Paradise

"We absolutely love this house! Close to town, but with all the quiet and serenity of country life on 10 acres... How can you beat that!?! Loved waking up to the views from our living room picture window every morning. Loved our evening walks down the dead end country road every evening as the sun went down. Loved the comfort and ease this house provides. My only question after our second stay at this amazing home, is how soon can we come back?"
