  • Nice older home in a good location

"No issues with the property. If visiting in the winter, make sure you have the ability to drive in snow / ice. The alley getting to the house can get slick."

  • Accomodating Cabin at 7,500'

"The drive into the neighborhood greets you with speed bumps and hilly roads like, Steep Road, which identifies it to a tee. The all wooden cabin was warm and accommodating. The stairs were steep leading to the wrap around porch. The view from the porch was beautiful but bested by the master bedrooms veranda. There is everything you need in terms of cook ware including large bowls and a variety of cooking utensils. There is a heart warming assortment of quality spices, teas, coffee and games left from previous guests. There is no fire pit outside. Probably for good reason. The woods are close and all around almost obscuring the neighbors from view."

  • authentic winter/mountain cabin experience

"I've been visiting Pagosa Springs for several years now and this has been my favorite place to stay, and by far best value. From the moment we arrived I was amazed with the snow, the beautiful wooded property next to a national forest, the warm glow of gas fire place, the overall comfort we had staying here. Prior to booking the owner called me directly to answer all of my questions and upon our arrival the care-taker stopped by to check on us. No one wanted to leave including our family dog, Adelaide. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a very clean, authentic winter/mountain cabin experience. I'd definitely stay here again....and plan some time for more hiking in the forest without having to leave the cabin or drive anywhere. -John G (Austin, TX)"
