  • Nice!

"This place was exactly the way it was described. Have never been to this part of Colorado, and was there for a 3 day Elk hunt. After hiking all day in the mountains the hot tub was exactly what the doctor ordered! Well furnished, bed was comfy. Will stay again next year if we hunt the area again."

  • A perfect mix between removed and accessible

"Crossing Creek is a location that we decided to take a look at to host a wedding of ~150 people. Instead of being another Aspen/Estes Park/Vail wedding, we wanted to find something a little different. A big deal for us was we wanted to find a location that was easy for family members to travel from Denver, and close to an airport for family that would fly in from around the country. This is a BIG check in When we first arrived, it was like pulling in to an enchanted cabin because the lodge sits on top of a hill, overlooking the valley below. It was nothing short of amazing to see during the sunrise. Working with the Crossing Creek Grand Resort team has been fantastic so far, especially the property owners Jeremy and Candice. They have a small team that helps them take care of the property and keep the ground in top shape. The property is a perfect suit for us because we like to hike, mountain bike, fish, and enjoy being disconnected from the outside world. We can't wait to have our wedding here next spring and explore more of the 1,700 acres that is available to all guests! I would highly recommend taking the time to stay at Crossing Creek and look forward to getting back out here."

  • A wonderful place to stay in the midst of nature.

"Joe and Katherine are great hosts; we loved spending time with them at their property. The property is 40+ acres of wooded bliss, a great get-away from city life. Joe has developed multiple trails to explore and would take us around on walks, educating us in ecology, geology etc. Katherine has given us art lessons and is a very patient teacher with great insights. Their dog Goldberry comes out to greet you whenever you come back from a trip to town. We enjoyed playing with her. The guesthouse is very comfortable, even in winter, and the Colwells made sure that we had everything we needed. If there was any problem, they would have it fixed immediately. The views of the North Fork valley and West Elk mountains are spectacular. The deer often browse right outside the house. There are great hikes close by and Hotchkiss or Delta are a short drive away for any shopping needs. We would visit again the first chance we get and highly recommend the place for anyone travelling through here."
