  • Nice Property

"We stayed three days after first visiting Monument Valley on a road trip. The house met all our expectations. It was spacious, attractively decorated, and stocked with everything we needed. The yard is large and the area is very peaceful - just what we were looking for. We saw a deer walking in the yard while we were sitting on the porch the first evening we were there. We walked to Mancos State Park from the house and hiked all the way around the lake. The weather was mostly great, although it rained on the second day while we were in Durango. Linda stopped by and was friendly and had some good suggestions. My wife and I loved the area and we would definitely consider staying here again."

  • Perfect Gunnison home complete with Gunnison River in backyard

"I knew as soon as I saw the online pictures that it was the vacation home for us. We lived in Gunnison 30 years ago but have never been back. We wanted our son to see where he used to live and show his little family beautiful Gunnison. The River home was perfect. In the mornings and evenings, I knew my husband and son would be fishing , just like they did years ago. And they sure did. Each morning and evening they caught Rainbow and Brown Trout from the river and it tasted just as good as 30 years ago. The home is beautiful, comfortable, clean and spacious. It has that rustic feel, complete with deer and big horn sheep mounted on the walls. All furnishings are excellent including comfortable mattresses. Kitchen is well stocked with all you need. Yard is beautifully landscaped. Everything is maintained perfectly. It was a welcoming oasis after our day trips in the high country. The grand daughters had so much fun on the lower level with games, puzzles, pool table, piano, etc. We couldn't have been happier. Everyone loved it and wants to go back. Thank you owners for maintaining such a wonderful mountain home."

  • Get away

"Out of the city, a perfect little get away. Loved the train ride. Nice to cool off from the desert heat we came from."

  • Magical!

"Oh my! The pictures are spot on; however, they do not truly express the magical feel when you walk in the door! It's perfect, in all ways. George and Devon have done an amazing job building, furnishing, and filling the area with nature's best of flowers and trees. The large trees shade the yurt from the sun; however, for your comfort, the AC does cool the place down in the hottest part of the day. But, why stay inside when you can sit in the shade on the deck, listen to the river as it flows along, watch the butterflies as they stop at the beautiful flowers, or perhaps see deer at the river's edge. You are secluded from the road in your own private oasis where you can totally relax and clear your mind. Plenty to see and do in the area; the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is only a short drive away. So many orchards to satisfy your desire for fresh picked fruit; at this time, it's cherry season and they are awesome. Great places to eat in Paonia; if you like Italian, we highly recommend The Flying Fork. I highly recommend this, and my husband and I will definitely go back and spend more time at this magical yurt. Thank you so much, George and Devon, for sharing this magical place with everyone!"
