  • Immaculate House - Ocean Views & Easy Beach Access

"Lovely rental. It had everything we needed. Prime Hook is a quiet little town. Perfect for a relaxing stay at the beach. We enjoyed ocean views from the dinner table! There is convenient beach access across the road from the house. The enclosed outdoor shower was well-kept and made for easy cleanup after a visit to the beach. The fenced yard was clean and secure; perfect for our pets. The owners were super responsive and we had no problems during our stay. We would definitely rent this house again and highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying in Prime Hook."

  • Surpassed all expectations

"Our family of five, and small dog, had a fabulous week at Buoys by the Bay. The situation is spectacular - steps from the calm, warm water of the bay. Gorgeous sunrises, bonfires on the beach, evening swims to the sandbar which our kids dubbed the 'island'. House is extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing except more time here. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We hope to return again next year."

  • Relaxing & Remote & Perfect

"This cottage is just perfect. Ed had greeted us upon our arrival, as he was completing some renovations...he was very pleasant and helpful. The home has a wonderful cottage is basic no dishwasher, but that wasn't an issue. Bedding was comfortable..The beach front location was incredible...a beautiful view from the enclosed, heated/AC supported porch. There was a great table out there for a nice game of cards and dinner. We made fires each night and our yellow lab Cooper loved the calmess of the bay, he swam every day & just loved the beach. While at this cottage, you are basically off the grid, you are only a 20 minute ride to Lewes/Rehobeth.(however, during the summer months it can take quite some time to travel down 1 South~as we were told by the locals in Lewes and Bethany Beach..There is a food lion in milton which is easy to get to and they have a few restaurants in their town too. Be prepared, there are no commercial properties's beautifully quiet and peaceful. You can walk on the beach and basically just wander as you are on beach time. The Prime Hook Nature Preserve was really neat and we read up on our horsehoe crab was their mating season...if they are washed them out, flip them back over and place them back into the surf...they cannot still or harm you. Just know that the 2nd bathroom is in the bathhouse...which is very very basic but serves it's purpose if you need to use them. There was also a kayak for the bay...which we used one day...totally cool. They could use some more silverware, some wine glasses & more counter space with perhaps an indoor/outdoor runner when you first walk in, as the sand is plentiful...but who cares you are at the beach...Restaurants: Michy's in Rehoboth (get the fire cracker shrimp)...Irish Eye & Striper Bites in Lewes...were all great with super service & happy hour specials..I wish we could go back for Memorial Day Weekend...but he's booked..."

  • Awesome, quiet week

"Our family had a wonderful time at this comfortable house. Ron and Anne were very easy to deal with and communicated quickly throughout the process. We traveled with our dog and small children, so the grassy fenced yard was great. We enjoyed several beautiful sunsets over the refuge from the decks. A quick and easy walk put us on the very quiet beach. We loved the calmer waters of the bay for the children and we also enjoyed looking for shells and turning the horseshoe crabs at the water's edge. We loved the quiet area and the option to drive into Rehobeth for the attractions there. The outdoor shower was a big hit and even the little Dyson vacuum made cleaning up throughout the week fun! Thanks for an awesome week!"
