  • Excellent Value!

"For only a few dollars more per night than a single, standard hotel room we considered a few miles away, we were able to stay in a seven-bedroom home (including five 'adult' bedrooms) and enjoy an enclosed, private pool and hot tub in a gated community a couple of miles from Disney! When we tell people at home about it, they cannot believe the value and some are even skeptical. The game room, living room, dining room and kitchen all got the job done. We had five couples and one child and we still had one bedroom completely unused. We did have to remember once or twice this is not a hotel. We had two minor issues and only one was resolved. We also had to do some minor cleaning upon arrival and had to remember to pick up a couple of extra items at the grocery store compared to a hotel stay. But these were so minor that it did not dampen the experience. Emerald Island is also terrific. Very secure, extremely quiet but yet just a few miles drive to the entire Kissimmee/Disney experience. But this property in in the back of the island, so there is virtually no traffic. Many people rode bikes and walked when we were there. This is even better than some of the properties because the back of the enclosed pool has a nice grassy area behind it instead of having another property's pool only a few feet away like some of the properties on the island do. The island does have a very short, but nice nature trail and the clubhouse has a nice little exercise room and tiki bar to go along with a shared pool."

"We spent 3 nights at the townhouse in Emerald Island. We loved the location. It was just as advertised - minutes from both Disney and Universal. It was great having 3 bedrooms so that we each had our own space. We had everything we needed to make meals. We would certainly stay here again!"

  • Excellent

"A very well equipped holiday rental home. The owner has thought of everything a family would need for a comfortable stay. Located within a safe, clean and very pleasant area, close to all amenities. Loved the pool and hot tub. Pool larger than the photo which was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay here again."

  • a wonderful find!!

"I searched for many hours before finding this house and it was absolutely worth the effort! The #1 thing I loved is Helen -- she is a total delight. Responsive, thoughtful - she clearly wants you to have a great stay in her home. The house is really roomy and comfortable, and very clean. With Helen's permission, we hosted 36 adults at a family reunion one day and it did not feel crowded. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and basic cooking equipment, in addition to 2 coffee makers, a blender, microwave, toaster and toaster oven. Icemaker did not work, but if you buy a bag of ice and fill it, the dispenser on the door works fine. We enjoyed the BBQ grill (we did have to buy propane) Washer and dryer came in handy. Lots of towels available for use. The outdoor seating area is large and comfortable. The covered lanai is large and completely protected from rain and direct sunlight. The pool is not large, but was fine for 5 "floating around" adults -- we definitely enjoyed it in the early mornings and it is quite private except on one side. The young adults in our group loved the pool table. Indoor furnishings show some wear, but that actually made us more comfortable -- it felt like we were at home! Several of the beds have pillowtop mattresses which were very comfortable (but caution with elderly visitors as they are very high). Bed linens were good quality. We did have some issues with car parking for our guests, but resolved satisfactorily after a few calls to the security desk and for most renters, this would not be an issue. The resort itself is very nice and well maintained. Easy drive to Magic Kingdom - about 15 mins each way, so easy drop off/pick up when the older members of our party were too tired to spend the entire day at the park. Received my full security deposit back within a week. Everyone who attended the reunion thought the house was perfect -- all 36 of us would definitely recommend this house!!"
