  • Amazing sunsets!!!

"We had an absolute blast staying at this house! It is right on the water with a great dock and boat house overlooking Lake June. AMAZING sunsets! The picture posted doesn’t even do it justice…you HAVE to see in person! Definitely bring your good camera if you are into photography. We spent most of the time out in the boat house. We rented a boat (we should have brought ours) and a jet ski for a couple days which was great to have whenever you wanted to cruise around the lake and try for the bigger fish (we had luck in the lily pads). There is even a canal we took to another small lake (which is a very long trip on idle…about 2 hours, but the scenery is awesome, and the people sitting out on their boat houses are super friendly). It is very shallow right off the back yard, so would be great for kids. The house has a nice, open floor plan with great views of the lake. There is a fully (even from the bottom) screened porch, which is nice because the bugs get bad after dark. There is a pull-out in one of the couches and a futon in the living room if there are additional guests. The downstairs is like an efficiency that has a bed and couch, its own separate bathroom, and small kitchenette area, so that is great if you have 2 couples or teenagers, so they can have their own “space”. The washer and dryer are nice too, I liked keeping up on laundry so I didn’t have a mountain to tackle when I got back home. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and appliances. The bathroom had plenty of towels and washcloths. There is no grill, but there was a fire pit with a cooking grate on it. We threw some charcoal in there and grilled out. The AC worked great (it was 80+ most of the days) and the last day we were there it was only 65 so we took advantage of opening all the windows and sliding door and letting the cooler lake breeze blow in. The neighborhood was quiet. Eric (the owner) was great to work with (one of the best and easiest owners I’ve had the privilege working with on vrbo) and I got my deposit back in timely manner. We had the best time and we dream of going back as soon as we can!"

  • Perfect Vacation Spot

"The lake house is well-appointed and comfortably cozy and offers spectacular views one the sunset over the lake. Being a Michigan native, the setting immediately brought to mind memories of my youth spent is pleasantly evocative of the innumerable lakeside cottages one finds up north. A country-themed bar with good grub and boot-wearing waitresses is within close walking distance and a gas station and convenience store are a short drive away, perfect for our last-minute wine and snacks grabs and also to top off the gas tank on the boat. Although there were only three of us (we brought along our dog, which we were pleasantly surprised to find was not a complicated ordeal and in fact the owners welcome pets), the roomy and well-appointed kitchen and large dining and living areas could easily scale up to accommodate a large family get together, especially considering the extra seating available on the porch and at the kitchen bar. My wife and I both agreed it would be an ideal location to accommodate a mini-family reunion without all the overhead of theme parks and gulf beaches as there are adjacent rental properties available. We did rent the pontoon for an extra $50 per day and were glad to have access to a boat - that made the experience much more enjoyable for our teenager and newly-christened water moxie. Next time we’ll definitely look into renting a jet ski or speed boat and reliving some of those old memories of tubing and boarding on the lake. Also, having the ability to do a bit of laundry at the end of the day was also a blessing, and we were happy to find that there were basic laundry supplies on hand so we didn’t have to run out and waste time with a trip to the store. Overall, it was these thoughtful little details that made the experience such a pleasure and we look forward to out next mini-vacation at the lake."

  • Perfect Place to Stay on the Lake!

"I would recommend this house to anyone. It is in a great location. The price was perfect because this house was huge and we could take my whole family. The owner is really nice and helpful with any questions. I can not wait to go back again!! Can not express my love anymore."
