  • Great place!

"We enjoyed our stay in Key Colony Beach. Sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening and looking out on the canal was a joy. Sandy gave us tips where to eat and their Happy Hour. We specially liked the Keys Fisheries on 35th street. The Stone Crabs where $ 2.50 a piece and the Tuna-Sashimi and oysters where also yummy. We swam every day at the Sombrero Beach and on a quiet day we went snorkeling at the Sombrero reef with Spirit Snorkeling."

  • Very comfortable. Just what we expected.

"Just two of us, so plenty of room. Enjoyed the tiki area to relax in the afternoon."

  • Great week in the Keys

"Rented this 3 level house for my husband and I, daughter and family (2 adults, 3 children) and adult son. There was plenty of room for everyone with the kids sleeping in the loft and privacy on the lower level studio-like apt for son. The house is on the "good" side of canal, getting the morning sun, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors in the late afternoons. There is a little shade on the outside balcony allowing for enjoying your morning coffee outdoors and plenty of shade below under the carport. Lots of parking, which is a plus in Key Colony. We had 2 large vehicles, a boat trailer and a super mini uhaul trailer. Comfortable seating inside, ceiling fans throughout and comfortable beds. Things to think about: Bear in mind, this house is equipped as typical rental so I do not mean anything negative by my comments, only to keep in mind as you prepare for your trip. Also, if you get there and are lacking in something, I believe Gregg (manager) would get you what you need within reason. kitchen- bring sharp knife(s) as none available, there is a blender there which is "adequate", bring crock pot if you are so inclined, cookware is pretty typical and adequate; I think things were adequately cleaned. No extra cleaning products on hand, so, bring or plan on buying there. Maybe the last renters took everything home with them, but, usually we have found in vrbo's, there is ample to last you 2 or 3 days and we leave behind what we found there. outdoors - we happened to bring some beach chairs and the fold up canvas chairs which were more comfortable then the plastic chairs provided. We like to sit outside a lot when we are there, so, comfortable chairs are a must. We had also brought a large fan which we used outdoors when there was no breeze and it was VERY hot. There is ample room for boat parking. We had a 24' and 16' parked in front of unit with the 16' parked at an angle to seawall in order to fit both. Bait freezer provided. My daughter took her girls to the community pool/beach and said it was nice with a restaurant and bar. The bottom line is, I would definitely rent this house again. Very comfortable, good location and Gregg, the manager, is great to work with. Also, very prompt on deposit return. Hope to be back next year."
