  • Amazing slice of paradise.

"We booked this amazing house on short notice all via email with Tom. We spent my 40th birthday week here with my fiance and our 4 teenage kids. In short....we had the best vacation of our lives. This house had everything we needed and more. The pool, tiki bar, dock, fish cleaning stations, grill, patio...every aspect of the house was just what we needed. Tom was helpful and I can tell how much he cares about his guests. Pictures do NOT do this home justice...it really is that nice! We will definitely be coming back in the future!"

  • Beautifully furnished, Perfect Location

"Our family had a wonderful time at the Hammerhead Cottage! Key Colony Beach is the perfect base camp - in the middle of Marathon, great amenities (pool/beach), close to grocery/convenience stores, relaxing atmosphere and boat access to spectacular fishing. We got off to a bumpy start due to a snafu with the cleaning company. Natalie immediately took care of the issue! The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated - Natalie has exceptional taste. The house is well-stocked with just about everything you could possibly need during your stay. We rented a boat and having the dock, cleaning table and bait freezer at the house made our fishing excursions easy and carefree. The girls even fished right off the dock, catching a nurse shark and a barracuda! We visited the Turtle Hospital (be sure to make reservations - they get busy), Sombrero Beach, and snorkeled at Sombrero Reef. Fishing was fun and we got lucky with some snapper! We'll definitely be back!"

  • Exceptional!

"Rented this home from the Fosters based on the pictures and reviews posted on the VRBO site. Our experience there was better than we could have expected. We found the home to be just as pictured, clean, and neat. Everything you could need was there for your use. Information and access keys were readily available and instructions for use were provided. Freddie was there when we arrived and offered all kinds of advice and assistance to us regarding the home, the beaches, fishing advice, restaurants and the like. He even offered me bait he had in the freezer! If you can't relax and feel at ease in this home you have a problem. You could spend your time just in the back yard, catching fish off the dock, giving water to the manatees, feeding fish to the egrets, watching the iguanas and soaking up the sun. Inch beach is quiet and secluded and a wonderful place for the family, just a two minute walk across the street. Bike riding or walking around the island is safe with plenty of beautiful homes to see. the "open market" at the park was really nice with good food for sale and beautiful crafts. As an aside, the Fosters neighbors were very friendly and easy to talk to, readily offering advice on places to dine, and things to do. I would rate this home, the Fosters, and KCB a six star experience. It is not a question of if we would rent this property again, but rather when we can make the time to get back here and hopefully find the home available. Thank you Freddie and Cheryl for your home and the wonderful experience you were instrumental in our having!"

  • Key Colony Beach Stay

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It included everything we needed. We really liked the Cabana Club, which is right across the street, and we enjoyed walking the neighborhood every morning. There's only one way in and out of the community so there's very little traffic. Sunset Park is an easy walk and the sunsets there are amazing. We ate at the Key Colony Inn, which is also an easy walk from the unit, and had probably the best fresh fish I've ever had! Sparky's is nice, they will even cook the fish you caught! The front porch is nice and shady, a great place to have a drink and read! The agent, Bonnie, was very helpful and provided suggested places to visit and eat! She was very responsive throughout the process and made it so easy. I would definitely stay here again!"
