Recent Key Colony Beach reviews

  • Spacious and as beautiful as the pictures!

"My family (two adults & 4 children) along with my sister's family (2 adults & 2 children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this clean and lovely maintained home in Key Colony Beach. We love this area because it is so close to so many places like: the Dolphin Research Center, The Art Studio, Hook's Marina as well as great restaurants ( Sunset Grill & Lazy Days). It is located on one of the nicest streets and we enjoyed walking from here to Sunset Park. You can see part of the Vaca Cut. The layout of the home was perfect for our group of ten. The open kitchen with the latest appliances gave us plenty of area to cook and dine. The wrap around porches on the second and third levels were wonderful areas to relax and watch the sun set. Outdoors, the kids enjoyed the large pool. The dock on the canal was perfect for parking our 23ft boat. We would definitely like to return to this lovely home on our next trip to the Keys. The only suggestion I would make is to replace the current washing machine and dryer for they are a little dated but not a big deal!"

  • Beautiful large family friendly house

"We stayed for a week and enjoyed every second. The house has a very family friendly feel to it. The sunsets were amazing. Would defiantly stay again. Also worked out with the conjoined doors in between the duplexes since our friends rented the other side. The only two things I would think about changing is... The pool was very dirty by the end of the week. I think if it was cleaned half way through the week it would have been better. Also, the intial cleaning of the house could have been a little better. New bed sheets, vacuuming and a really good mopping would have made it 5 stars."

  • Always a great place to great away from it all! Fishing and family fun!

"I usually make the annual trip down to do some fishing down in the keys. Sometimes it's with family and at other times it's with friends. There's never been a disappointment with something for everyone to do. This residence has a deep water canal in the back yard which is only minutes to Vaca cut. If you are a Tarpon fisherman, Vaca Cut is the best place in the keys for the silver kings! Vaca Cut offers easy access to the back country as well as the Atlantic. There's also a snook light in the back yard with plenty of juvenile snook sitting in the shadows waiting for a tasty offering. The fish cleaning station is always clean and fully functional, ready to prepare the day's catch for the backyard grill. The back yard amenities are cozy and quiet. Plenty of seating, lounge chairs, tables and shade to bring you to your happy place. Inside the residence it is clean and comfortable. Linens are always fresh and clean as is the rest of the residence. Air Conditioning blows cold throughout the house. As far as the kitchen, all I've really used was the refrigerator and coffee pot, both of which look fairly new and clean. Speaking of appliances, there is a washer/dryer setup as well as a full size chest freezer for your week's catch. There is ample parking for a couple of vehicles as well as a boat trailer. Do yourself a favor and use the Cabana Club membership which comes with the rental. This is the highlight of the trip when I take the family down. The club has a manacured beach with waitress service, chaise lounges, bar, swimming pool, lunch menu, hot tub, tables, ect. It is a well maintained resort. The kids love it as do the wife and I. When speaking with the property owner, she has always been friendly and accommodating. She does whatever necessary to fill any special requests or address problems when they arise. In conclusion, I have stayed at one other place in KCB and it was more money for less value. Plus, the property owner was difficult to work with at the other location. Since I have found this unit, I will never even look for another unit again. Thanks again for all the wonderful stays!"

  • Perfect

"We have stayed at "Island Breezes" four times in the last five years. We love the location and the house is appointed with numerous amenities. The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking essentials, plenty of bath towels, great outside grill and we enjoy the outside hot tub. This unit is perfect for us as we bring a boat and use the boat dock and fish station for cleaning our "catch of the day." The upstairs with the 2 queen beds and private bath is perfect for the young adults to have an area for themselves. Use of the Cabana Club is a plus and perfect for relaxing and chilling out. This unit and the one aside of it has become the location for our annual family vacation...all 14 of us!"
