  • A Perfect Vacation Place

"We loved this house for our family of 4, it had everything we needed and is nicely secluded down a street by itself. It isnt far from the pool and restaurants by the golf cart so it was perfect. The house was clean, everything you need is there. The beach with tons of dolphins swimming around is a 2 minute ride away at the end of the airstrip. This was an awesome place to stay."

  • The Perfect Beach House

"I don't know how you can get a house this close to the beach THIS CLEAN AND SPOTLESS. Everything was pristine and beautiful. Our host was waiting on us at the Barnacle Phil marina when the Island Girl ferry arrived and took us to the house in the golf cart that goes with the house. At Rainbow's End, they've thought of everything. Coffee in the morning, wine in the evening, nothing ever tasted so good while sitting on that screened porch. We saw a group of manatee swim by, dolphins, pelicans crashing into the water to catch fish. North Captiva is the perfect mix of remote and luxury. We actually had groceries delivered prior to our visit and found them put away neatly in the kitchen. There is a small convenience store if more is needed. We found everything we needed at the house to enjoy cooking our own breakfast in the mornings but wanted to experience the local fare during the day. My husband enjoyed the steak at The Boathouse restaurant, but my favorite meal was the delicious Snapper Francaise served at Over The Waterfront. Seating is very limited at both restaurants so make a reservation! The other option for lunch or dinner is Barnacle Phil's or the Tiki Bar near Mango's Island Store. Rainbow's End has a membership to North Captiva Island Club so we had a couple of pools and use of kayaks and bicycles. At Boat's and Fun you can rent a boat or hire a guide. Heck, they'll go get fresh fish for you at the market if you want. Instead of renting a boat, we hired a guide, Matias, who was amazing. He took us over to Cabbage Key for the original Cheeseburger in Paradise, then cruising around the end of Cayo Casto. We saw a massive sting ray and even had dolphins chasing us and playing in our wake. After snorkeling a sand bar for a bit, we cruised the beach front of North Captiva looking at houses before making our way back to NCIC. Matias was a fabulous guide and obviously loves his job. We regret we didn't make time for fishing as the tarpon were beginning to bite. This is a fisherman's paradise and we will definitely be back with this as a must-do. North Captiva is a fabulous place for families. So safe and relaxed. Beware: This is an island only one step from being off the grid. Do not get in a hurry here. Put your toes in the water and watch the amazing sunset on the beach at Rainbow's End. Aaaaahhh!!"

  • Blissful and Relaxing Escape in an Exquisite Home

"Walking into this home was akin to arriving at a small yet expensive resort. The layout is commodious and perfect for large and intimate gatherings. The furnishings are comfortable and tasteful. The wrap around porch with doors opening onto it from two bedrooms as well as the great room makes you feel as if you are in a large well appointed cabana perched in the perfect location. Our kids had the most amazing time kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling. Dolphins and manatees come to visit several times a day. I will remember my week in this home with friends and family forever. And, I plan to return."

  • Great family vacation home

"We spent a week at this property, and rented a boat slip at the marina as well. We found it well appointed and a perfect spot for a busy family (2 adults and 5 kids, ages 9-17). The two houses (bedrooms in one, kitchen/family room in the other) were a perfect set up for families with various wake up times. The little kids were up and about early, while the teenagers (and dad) slept in silently and completely undisturbed in the other house. The house is pleasantly decorated, and the walk to the beach very short. The beach at this part of the island is very narrow, but it was a short walk to a wider beach. We had several meals at Barnacles and the pool bar, both were good casual meals. The house had all the kitchen supplies necessary for the week including crock pot and various pots and pans. Lots of beach towels. The golf carts are old and well-used, but were sufficient to get us around the island. Do take the time to walk to the end of the island, its a beautiful walk, about 3.2 miles from the end of the cart path. We would highly recommend this house, and hope to return some day!"
