"We enjoyed a gorgeous week in paradise. From being footsteps to the beach, fishing, nightly sunsets, NCIC pool , Boats and Fun, ice cream at Barnacle's, we couldn't have asked for a better week. The accommodations had everything we needed. The screened in porch was great to play games and eat. The porches off the bedrooms gave us even more room to spread out. I hate to give such a great review as this may be booked the next time we want to rent this house. I also think this has one of the best beaches on the Island. Hope to be back next year."

  • Perfect getaway

"The Little Arc was a wonderful gem close to the beach with a wonderful heated pool & gorgeous sunsets from the rooftop terrace with hot tub. Perfect size house for two with all amenities of home. Marie was very accoumdating with changing our dates to enjoy the most of our vacation/anniversary trip. Would highly recommend for the serene romantic setting."

  • relaxing, quiet and perfect for our stay

"Alicia, This is a beautiful home and we loved it..we will definitely be back within the next year (hopefully). We loved the deck, the short walk to the beach and that we were on the "edge" and not in the tree's. There are only two little minor things that are more like requests rather than complaints: It would be great if you had a canoe or 2 in the storage room so we can play out front of our place.. We did go down to town and "rent" for a few hours but we didn't have time to go around the island and back.. The other request is that you have some food containers such as gladware to put leftovers in..We had a tough time figuring out how to keep everything fresh in the fridge.. Thank you for the lovely space, Mary"

  • Not Luxury, But Certainly Paradise

"We travel quite a bit and have come to realize that our preferred vacation stay includes authentic local natural beauty, quiet, and privacy. We will happily forgo fancy resort amenities in this quest. The North Captiva Fish Camp is not for the traveler looking to be seen poolside with an umbrella drink in hand. But, it's close to paradise when you can sit up in bed in the morning and see the sun rising over Pine Island Sound. The small house is exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. We prefer to cook our own meals (there are only three small restaurants on the island anyway), and for a rather small kitchen, everything that we needed was there. We started each morning carrying our coffee cups a few hundred feet to the edge of the water. And, pretty much the rest of the day involved this same commute back and forth, and all around the private peninsula that is shared with just one other house, a rental currently owned by the same family. So, we spent our time reading, fishing, watching dolphins, drinking G&Ts, and watching boats pass through the channel that runs around the tip of the peninsula and in front of the Fish Camp, and being amazed at the natural beauty around us. Absolute downtime and perfection. It would be important to thoroughly read all the reviews here and the information provided by the owners. Traveling to a bridge-less island with no grocery store requires planning. Getting from the airport to the property means both a land and water taxi ride. We would recommend paying the extra money to have the property owner, Phil, pick you up and drop you off on the beach right in front of the house. Fun boat ride! If you are looking for a unique and true getaway, this place would be hard to beat."
