  • Think We Found Our New Annual Vacation Spot!

"Wife and I stayed with our two young daughters and had a blast! My daughters wanted to live there and didn't want to leave! Swimming pool literally just steps away from the door, beach with beautiful soft white sand is also just a short walk away! Tessa's customer service is top notch! she responded quickly to questions I had leading up to our stay, had beach and pool toy's for the kids, umbrella, chairs, beach towels, and cooler for the beach! We took advantage of the full sized fridge and the community gas grill which is also just steps away from the door! as well as the laundry area just a couple of doors down. The condo was nicely decorated and clean, has designated/reserved parking outside the door, which is also nice! Zero complaints and would definitely recommend! we just returned and can't wait to return! we plan on coming back very soon!"

  • The perfect location, community, and owner. Never equaled in my 20 years of renting in Sarasota.

"We have been vacation renting in various places in Sarasota for 20 years - sometimes for a week or two, sometimes up to 3 months. 207 Whispering Sands Drive is by far the most attractive, comfortable, trouble-free, friendly, and well-located place - by a very wide margin. Not only does it come with a car, which frees my wife to do her own thing without worrying about me, it comes with a beautiful private beach (3 minute walk in the community), 2 heated pools (1 and 3 minute walks), monthly cocktail parties, a neighborhood bridge game, and, best of all, the friendliest people you will ever meet. Almost as important to us, it is also a 1-minute walk from Siesta Village, where there are always several bands playing at 6-8 bars, 6-8 restaurants, and a lot of other nightlife. In contrast, Whispering Sands is a quiet, safe community with all the attractions of the Village just outside its entrance. The first among the friendly people of Whispering Sands is Merrill, your landlord, who is truly a nice guy, and a very accommodating one for any small problems. For example, the vacuum cleaner wasn't working well this year, so he simply asked me to go buy one and said he would reimburse for it - which he did. His check arrived 2 days later! Amazing service. The villa has clearly been furnished and cared for lovingly. All the little things are just as you would do at home if you had the time and money. The two-car garage is spotless and has a finished floor - not just concrete. The floors and showers are not tile - they are travertine marble, a beautiful touch. The TV is a 60" beauty. The towels are thick, the sheets are smooth, everything is in good order and spotless. This is not a place for rowdy spring-break vacationers, or anyone close to that. Whispering Sands is quiet and gentile, for 55 year-olds and up. There are no smoking and no pets. You must rent for at least two months and you will be required to have a background check by the Whispering Sands administration. Merrill will treat you like like one of the family, and will expect you to take care of his home with equal care. If you can do that, you will not find a better rental venue on Siesta Key, maybe anywhere! The only reason that I am letting you in on this jewel of a secret is that my wife and I have decided, after all these years, to finally buy our own slice of heaven - a similar vill"

  • Lovely condo on a beautiful beach!

"This condo is awesome! Spacious, clean, newly renovated, well furnished and located. Comfortable beds. We stayed 9 nights, and it started to feel like home very quickly! Parking for this unit is close, and covered. Keeps the car cool, and dry if you happen to run into rain. Also very good access to the beach, pool, and clubhouse (where there is coffee!) No need for using an elevator. The pool is big and the water is warm. Our stay was at the start of August so it wasn't crowded, always plenty of chairs at the pool and beach. The lanai is enclosed, which is nice in summer. Nice view of the pool and courtyard but palm trees obscure the Gulf view since it's 2nd floor. We didn't mind, the Gulf is just steps away! The sand on this beach is amazing, it really does stay cool enough to walk barefoot even in the hottest weather!! Siesta Key is very quiet and relaxed. No restaurants/clubs or lots of commercial activity, just beautiful private beach with the condos. There is a large deck that is perfect for watching the sunset. Sunday night there is a drum circle at the public beach, and you can walk there from the condo. We highly recommend the drum circle, people watching at it's best! Plenty of shopping & dining close by at the Village, but you will want a car or Johnny Ride for that. You will need a car if you want to shop at Publix. The owner is very nice, with quick email & phone responses and gave us some great tips on dining. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Siesta Dunes!"

  • Awesome Condo

"We had an amazing time staying at this Condo. Phyllis keeps here home clean and everything was perfect. The proximity to the public beach was ideal and the pool within 100 yards was perfect for days when we wanted to stay close. It is within walking distance of the village and we used the provided bikes to ride into town as well. Will definitely be returning. By far, our favorite place to stay in our 3 years of visiting Siesta Key."
