  • If you're looking for "the spot" on Siesta Key....

"We always wanted to visit Siesta Key but thought it was difficult since there are no commercial locations and most residences have 1-week minimum stays (or more). I am very happy our family came across Sandbox on the Beach. One of the best beach vacations we have had! The owner is very nice and laid back. He is personable and easy to deal with, always has a smile on his face. We stayed at unit 4, the 1 bedroom--it was nicely updated and clean. The location was fantastic--so close to Siesta Key Village (great restaurants and ice cream stops). Sandbox is at the north end of the island and we felt more secluded/less people. The sunsets were amazing--we could go to dinner in the village and make it for sunset nightly (which is great in late October). Sandbox on the Beach is so close to the ocean (if you look at the distance of the ocean to the buildings of other places on Google or in person, you'll be surprised at how far they are!)--gorgeous sand and ocean so close. The ocean at Siesta Key is quite calm, which was great for swimming with our 4 year old but not so great for late night desire to hear the crashing of waves. Shelling and birds were wonderful. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Great family Vacation!

"We just returned from a week long stay after Christmas and it was wonderful. The condo has a beautiful south facing view of the ocean with nice patio furniture (high table provides a great view). The beds were very comfortable and our family prefers twins for the second room as my teenagers don't like to share a bed. We didn't use the pool (it looked nice enough) because we had record highs for December and the ocean was 76-77 degrees! The kids enjoyed fishing and playing on the beach. The condo complex was full (as expected for the holiday) chairs were a little hard to come by, but we went out early to grab a couple. Never had a long wait for the elevator. Loved not having to carry keys to access the rooms and complex, super with the teens coming and going. If I had only one minor issue was In The mornings I get up super early and both husband and kids sleeping, afraid I would wake them by using the restrooms located in each of the bedrooms, but that would certainly not stop me from renting there again. The location was great! The proximity to the bridge limited the travel time around town. The owners were great to work with! Loved our stay."

"The place was better than advertised, even after the tornado took its (slight) toll. The owners obviously have good taste. Maw's Beach House is appropriately furnished and offers almost breathtaking sunset views over the beach. The previous tenants generously left goodies in and around the kitchen. Naturally, we tried to keep up the tradition when we left. One has to realize that being on the tenth floor to some extent mitigates the effect of a traditional "beach house," but the view up the beach more than makes up for it. Much fun. Luxury. Good vacation digs."
