  • A quiet escape May 8- 13 -2016

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful older brick cottage, very clean. We were able to take our 2 dogs, nice because they are allowed on the beach, in leash, until Memorial weekend. Very quiet location, lovely palm trees , honeysuckle trellis and sweet smelling flowers. We did have a view from the raised deck, photos need updating , trees have grown taller. The inside is much nicer than what is shown in the photos and the porch has furniture and a dining table. Loved the outside shower connected to bathroom by a door, would have been nice to have a raised wooden platform to keep your feet off the sandy flooring. There were plenty of dishes, flat wear , pots, pans, etc. Bring any staples that you use. Had one problem with the dishwasher , a repair person came with in 40 minutes! We would definitely return!"

  • GA/FL Weekend Stay

"We appreciated the owners maintaining such a lovely home! This did not feel like staying at a rental property - all the furniture and appliances were nice quantity. The extra ice maker in the wet bar was able to keep up with a daily filling of our beach cooler and saved us from having to buy ice from the store. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking breakfast at home. We like the dual living spaces as it allowed some of us to relax while others played card games. The walk to the beach was even closer than I had imagined. Thanks for a great weekend, I would recommend this house to others!"

  • A Splendid Babymoon at the Hideaway Cottage!

"We had a wonderful and relaxing week at this beautiful new house on the ocean. We are used to renting big villas with large infinity private pools but the warmth and charm of the impeccably decorated oceanfront home grew on us. The views from the multiple decks were beautiful and calming. The bathrooms used l'occitane amenities and used high end materials. The home was furnished with beautiful furniture and decorated with impeccable taste. The bed, pillows and linens were so comfortable we slept like babies... even better than the cloister . The kitchen was fully equipped with marble countertops and Viking fridge and range. We couldn't get the toaster to work for some reason. The multiple walks a day on the splendid st Simon's island east beach was addictive. The only negatives was the construction next door which we were not warned about and the pool is more of a plunge pool for the hot hot days. Fortunately, we stayed the first part of the vacation at the Cloister and got our daily swims and golf in before we came to the house. We will miss the tranquility..."
