  • Comfy and cozy inthe mountains

"This is the place I'd want if I owned my own get away! The owner left plenty of firewood to enjoy cozing up to the big stone fireplace. Every need was there waiting for us, and it was the perfect setting for a weekend in the mountains with beautiful views, good food, great company and a few cocktails to boot! Thank you!"

  • Peaceful, Enchanting Vacation

"In an area of the country rife with log cabins that all look the same, this cottage was a breath of fresh air. Tucked just up a little mountain road in Highlands, it was even better than the photos. The quirky little place was impeccably clean, well-stocked and well-maintained. And June is great to work with—very accommodating and responsive. But the biggest draw of the cottage is the way the light plays throughout the rooms. Sunlight gently spills into the master bedroom in the morning. Warm up in the afternoon dappled sunlight of the music room. We had a wonderful time here, filled with fires, coffee, books and music. We enjoyed the cozy, private feel even though the property is on a street with other houses. The area is beautiful, and the home is convenient to everything. We also made friends with the squirrel on the back deck and the albino chipmunk who lives somewhere out front. Head into town for local coffee at Buck's or Mountain Fresh Grocery. We also loved some of the out-of-the-way places like Fressers Eatery. The last night we were there, we hiked up to Sunset Rock, which is definitely worth the view. Can't wait to come back here."

  • A Perfect Mountain Thanksgiving!

"What a lovely mountain retreat overlooking Sky Valley, GA! It was an awesome home to entertain our family that was gathering for a surprise 90th birthday for our "mama" who lives in the country club community. We rented some nearby condos to accommodate our full gang for sleeping, but Red Mountain was the gathering place for most meals and the "feast of all feasts" for Thanksgiving. We loved having the game and movie rooms downstairs for the 6 cousins to hangout and adult pool challenges! A beautiful deck with awesome views was a lovely backdrop for our family photos. There is a great family-owned zip line adventure park just minutes away and Highlands and Franklin were an easy drive for great shopping, ice cream and BBQ! Our only disappointment was not being able to enjoy s'mores in the firepit due to the brush fires nearby. We will just have to go back next year to complete the adventure!"

  • Great stay!

"We had my wife and her mother, my son and his wife and her mother, and our two grand girls, eight in total. The house was great in every respect. Unmatched view from the two decks that face the west for beautiful sunsets. At night we all enjoyed the huge TV for movie watching. This surpassed others we've stayed in because of the little things. Such as clean, crisp sheets on every bed. The bedding was first class, not cheap like you see in some rentals. And a nice surprise was great water pressure in the showers, which you don't always have as well. The grand girls (4 and 6) loved hiking around the house. We found some great rock formation to the south of the house for picture taking. The girls love tubing at Scaly Mountain (go on when it opens on a week day when the crowds are small) and horse back riding at the Dillard House."
