  • A Rockefeller-built Villa next to the nicest beach in Hawaii

"We just returned from a week and a half at the Villa, and I have to say that pictures hardly does it justice. With two large bedrooms with attached bathrooms, it's ideal for either two couples or two families who want the comfort of a home in a five-star resort setting. The décor is beautiful, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil we could ever need which made cooking easy. There is a BBQ on the deck overlooking the ocean. We ate many meals on the patio overlooking the pool as the sun set behind the ocean. This Villa is stunning and being part of the Rockefeller built resort everything is made with highest quality. This home and its location are spectacular, especially if you enjoy fabulous sunsets, a variety of water sports and a beautiful beach. Being part of the Manuan Kea resort has huge advantages (not to mention the two amazing bars with the best Pina Coladas!). The resort is very convenient and provides any services you might need (drinks, dinner, beach toys, health club, spa, etc..). snorkeling at Mauna Kea is spectacular and very easily accessed, with many water sport options available: canoeing, kayaking, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, swimming, and night time paddle boarding and snorkeling with the manta rays. The resort is gated and part of the best golf course in all of Hawaii. We rented a car (good idea) and drove only couple of miles up to couple of great sea food restaurants and the two major shopping centers. Also the best shaved ice cream (in hot afternoons!) was only one mile away from the resort and soon became our daily break. The walk to the beach is short and easy. My 10-year old twins would comfortably walk alone to the beach and take advantage of all the activities. The resort had a huge white air bed anchored in the sea several yards away from the beach which was children's favorite pass time to swim to it and dive from it (without any adult help)...we adults used it as a mark to swim to and back for exercise. We will be returning, this Villa is perfect! and have already passed the news to our friends who are always looking for good beaches in Hawaii. My another favorite part about this resort versus the Mediterranean beaches that we have often visited, was that it never felt crowded and the beach was clean and felt more like a private beach."

  • Family and Friends

"Ok. I am really ambivalent about giving a review because then you are all going to book this place and we will never get back in ! But seriously, this is a great place to spend time with your family of all ages. It is roomy, convenient, and you can use the facilities of both the Hapuna Prince and the Mauna Kea hotels....need I say more? Stay here (but just not when we are wanting to rent it!). Also, Anne, Kai and Muffet are super organized and helpful."
