  • Loved it all. Peaceful and relaxing vacation.

"This was our first stay in the Mauna Lani area. We stayed in G201 from 3/20-3/26 and loved every minute of it. My DH even said upon entering “If I had known the place was so nice, we could’ve stayed here the whole time.” (Before arriving here, we stayed in Volcano for 3 nights.) I will say I wanted to stay closer to the water but the view from the lanai was great. We could see the ocean and sometimes hear the waves. The only issue I had was that sounds from the lanais seemed to echo off the other buildings. This is a low density complex which never ever seemed crowded. Several times we felt we had the place to ourselves. This unit was huge for a one bedroom. Nice big kitchen, roomy living area and 2 full bathrooms. The couch makes into a bed, although we didn’t use it. I was thinking we could bring along one of our nieces next time and they could have the couch and their own bathroom. The bed was comfy and waking up to seeing palm trees outside was always a treat. We did have an issue with ants in the kitchen. When I called about them, we were brought ant traps. These seemed to work well, but we would still occasionally see ants here and there. No big deal to us. We kept all food in the fridge. Lots of towels available, but only one real beach towel. You know the kind of long and colorful towels you take to the beach. We discovered later that bigger “beach towels” were in the unit, but they were white. This is one thing I think they could improve upon. We did like having a washer and dryer in the unit and used it a few times. There was laundry detergent already there and available. The terraces are a quick walk to Makaiwa Bay and the beach. They have cabanas and loungers for use. The snorkeling here is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Lots and lots of fish in very clear water once you are about 25 yards from the beach. Snorkel early in the day for the best conditions. We went one afternoon and the water was a little choppy. The adjacent fish ponds make for a nice relaxing walk around the area. It’s also a nice walk over to the Mauna Lani Hotel for drinks and dinner. The pool and BBQ area were rarely busy. I went to the pool 3 times and had it all to myself. BBQs you can reserve time at or they have a grill and go BBQ if you don’t want to eat there. There’s a Foodland grocery store about a mile away. They have a nice deli and fresh food selections if you don’t want to cook. What I was missing was an ABC store, but it’s about"

  • Sharing and experiencing a little piece of heaven.

"My wife and I recently celebrated our fiftieth wedding anniversary at this very lovely and amazing home. We were joined by our children and their families. With five young, active grandsons to entertain, feed and watch over, we could not have designed a home more accommodating to satisfy our needs. After reserving the home for this occasion I immediately had trepidation that maybe it was a mistake for all of us to be under one roof for eight days. The reality is that the home is so well designed there was never a sense of crowding, offering plenty of privacy and a floor plan that allows everyone their own quiet place and little peace of heaven. The entire experience far exceeded our expectations, both in terms of the beauty of the property and the caring and attentiveness of the owners. If you are looking for a memorable and very special getaway, look no further."

  • Luxurious Digs

"From the moment one steps in the front door to this clean, spacious condo, it's obvious that the owner of this unit cares about quality. From the high end pots and pans to the modern, new appliances, this unit delivers comfort and convenience. The location is close to the pool, and it's also an easy walk for a drink and sunset at the Orchid Hotel or, if one is so inclined, to take a morning walk to a nearby strip mall which has a nice coffee shop and grocery store. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

  • What a GEM!

"This beautifully appointed condo looks out over the 15th hole (one of the prettiest in the world) to a gorgeous ocean view. We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai nightly to watch the beautiful sunsets. We've been here several times before and continue to enjoy this condo's combination of quiet surroundings with wonderful views and a central location to great snorkeling. The condo is well maintained and spotless. We appreciated the gift basket and the closet full of beach equipment. We love having breakfast on the lanai as each new day arrives. A previous reviewer mentioned the 'old' TVs. The owner has upgraded the living room TV to an HDTV digital monitor. We found the owners very responsive to any needs that arose during our stay."
