  • Amazing condo!!!

"This was my first time using VRBO so naturally I was a bit nervous, but dealing with Gordon was an easy and pleasant experience. The condo was beautiful and the fruit, nuts and coffee put out for us were a very nice added touch! Not to mention there is a closet full of snorkel gear and beach toys, towels, and lots of other stuff. Gordon is very easy to work with and accessible throughout your stay. The process of booking the condo was very easy and Gordon even provided info on things in the area. All in all this was a very pleasurable experience and Hali'i Kai is an amazing place to stay, safe to say we will be back!"

  • Comforts of Home

"Outstanding condo. Great view of the ocean. Whale watching was beyond my expectations. Pool & restaurant were great. Kitchen had everything you needed for food preparation. Convenient to restaurants, shops & grocery store. Have no negative comments on this property. Would stay here in a minute."

  • Check out the Chef's kitchen - can do some serious cooking here

"This was a perfect condo for our family to stay (including our 87 year old aunt and 2 20-somethings). The kitchen had practically everything you could ask for for any kind of cooking - measuring cups and a supply of all those essentials (like salt, olive oil, plastic wrap) that are often not present in weekly rentals. It made it very easy to be comfortable. Everything else is as described in other reviews - well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Mike and Wendy are very responsive and have a beautiful place. This is luxurious vacationing, so be aware that if you want to experience the "real Hawaii" (ie solar powered off the grid etc), you'll have to drive to it. But if you like to hang out at the pool or in the sandy bottom whirlpool or at the exercise facility overlooking the pacific, you can't beat this place. It is marvelous. There is a great hiking trail right next to the pool and health club - one way goes to the Hilton Waikoloa which is the largest resort hotel I've ever seen. The other goes over broken lava to a black sand beach (after about 25 minutes - you'll want to wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes). The black sand beach has great swimming and snorkeling."

  • Surprisingly perfect location! Loved the view every morning.

"Great location. Beautiful home with a nice layout. Easily accommodates a party of six with spacious rooms and bathrooms situated for each quest. The only reccommendation I would have to the owner is to have your beach equipment checked frequently, and replaced. The umbrella was broken, and some of the snorkeling gear had cracks in the mask making them unusable. The one thing I enjoyed most was the quiet mornings sitting on the balcony drinking coffee watching whales in the distance. My husband and I were lucky enough to see two whales jump completely out off the water from our seats- Awesome!"
