  • Amazing Visit, AS ALWAYS!

"We are repeat visitors and everything exceeded our expectations once again! Gail's condo is paradise indeed! The location is perfect - right across the street from an amazing snorkeling beach. The condo was beautiful and very clean. We especially enjoyed having our coffee out on the lanai every morning. On this trip we enjoyed scuba diving with the manta rays (highly recommended!), star-gazing at Mauna Kea, and a trip to visit the waterfalls on the Hilo side. Our kids, ages 8 and 10 had a blast surfing with Kahalu'u Bay Surf and Sea. Ben, the owner, was so great with the kids! I just love the Big Island and Gail goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Make sure you ask for Gail's fun "to-do" list! I can't wait to plan my next trip!"

  • Fabulous condo facing the best snorkelling beach ever!

"Loved the condo. Spacious, clean, light and airy - the sea breezes blew through it to keep it cool even though it was pretty hot when we were there. Gorgeous pool and surrounding area, we used it every day. Lots of thoughtful touches to make our vacation special - water shoes, kids life jackets, beach chairs and umbrella. There was snorkelling kit too (we didn't need to borrow it as we had our own), body boards and paddle board - meant to use them but never quite got round to it! Best of all though was the beach opposite - not the prettiest to look at but nice facilities (showers, snorkelling rental if you need it) and AMAZING snorkelling. The water is not that deep so you're up close to the fish, like being in an aquarium. And sea turtles too. Duane was super responsive and easy to deal with. The onsite manager Sonya was very helpful, organised, great recommendations for shopping and restaurants. We chose the place because it was away from the big resorts - close enough to civilisation when we wanted it but without the crowds. We visited several beaches in our 4 days there, the kayaking across kealakekua bay (with the dolphins!) was a highlight. Great trip with Kona Boys. Highly recommend the condo."

  • Everything we could possibly want or need & its Kona. Need I say more

"Ok, I will. Our stay at Mehina Mele was fabulous.. There are so many wonderful things about Liz and her wonderful home. First, dealing with Liz was easy. She was even available in case we got lost driving to her place. Liz thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, relaxing and fun A lot of places in Hawaii are muggy and stale. Liz's Mehina Mele smelled fresh and clean. The pictures can tell what it looks like but Liz's home is much more. We felt home. We felt welcomed. We had all the windows opened and yet it was private.. The cross breezes made us not need an air conditioner but Liz had fans for us anyway. She really thought of everything. My hubby loved the office nook and I loved that it was near the kitchen and sofa. We both used the wifi which worked all the time. Of course, you can see from the pictures. Liz has done a great job decorating and her Mehina Mele has an unbeatable view from everywhere. You can hear the waves at night. Even the shower for two has windows high enough to cover and low enough to see out. The mini clothesline in the shower was convenient for our wet swimsuits after swimming with the colorful fish and turtles. We enjoyed the sunsets out on the balcony dining table after cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. My hubby rode his blades and I rode my microscooter down Alii drive to town. We had so much fun & did I mention . It was ironman weekend. Those people are amazing and inspiring. Yes, Liz has done everything she can to make her home comfortable for couples with or without children."

  • Perfect!

"We stayed at the Ohana for 1 week in July. I agree with all the other 5 star reviews, and the house was better than expected. It was perfect! My husband & I shared the house with our daughter & son-in-law. The bedrooms were very private because they are in a separate building from the kitchen/dining room/ living room. One upstairs & one downstairs. The upstairs rooms were connected by the deck and the 2 building are maybe 10 feet apart. This is difficult to tell by the photos & description, but it was not a problem at all. It made the property unique and the upstairs rooms gave you the feeling of being in an incredible Hawaiian tree house with an ocean view. John & Robyn did an amazing job with the architecture & interior design style. It felt like a welcoming home with the perfect amount of aloha. And I need to mention the awesome caretaker, Tom. He was very accommodating and kept the grounds perfectly groomed. Nice to have a friendly local as your neighbor. Can I say perfect again? The Miletich Ohana was the perfect Kona vacation home. We hope we can visit again soon."
