  • Position "A" on a Great Beach!

"We've just returned from 5 peaceful nights at this sweet spot steps from the beach and wish we were still there! I can still hear the constant sound of the ocean waves lulling me to sleep, and I can picture the gorgeous ocean views from all throughout the upstairs unit. The owners Derek & Arlene treat you like ohana from the moment you check in, and they provide everything you need for a relaxing and fun stay – there are quality beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards for beach & ocean play time – and there’s a large hammock in the yard from which to enjoy the afternoon breezes after a sunny morning on the sugar sand beach. This location is perfect for exploring South Kihei on foot – you can walk steps from your door directly onto Charley Young beach at the north end of Kamaole I and continue walking Kam I, II & III for a great morning beach stroll greeted by turtles. If you paddle, the morning waters of Kihei are flat and forgiving. This studio apartment is perfect for two people, spacious and clean, and very nicely decorated with high quality linens and towels…and a very comfortable bed too! You can walk to great local restaurants, the grocery store and a better than average natural food store (Hawaiian Moon), and it’s only a short car ride to the great beaches and amenities of Wailea and Makena. The kitchen is well stocked to make your own meals, though admittedly we mostly made breakfasts and enjoyed dining out at night at places like Sansei, Café O Lei, and Tuesday taco night at Moose McGillicuddy’s. To satisfy your sweet tooth, check out Maui Pie up the road and we dare you to try to choose just one kind. Though we mostly stayed local because we wanted to chill on a great beach, this location is within easy-to-drive distance to upcountry towns you’ll want to visit like Makawao and Kula (visit the Kula Wed/Sat farmers market, then Surfing Goats Dairy and Hawaiian Sea Spirits within a mile of each other), or hop over to Paia town. Be sure to get back home by sunset so you can witness the majesty of it from Charley Young Beach – simply stellar. We will absolutely return for a stay here, just our style!"

  • Feels like home!

"This condo is very well stocked and the owners trust you with their lovely Maui home. The decor is quite delightful and the on island management is very responsive and will quickly take care of any little details that need tending. Maui Kamaole is very close to some of the best beaches on Maui and in the condo you will find everything you need to enjoy beach time. This condo complex is a quieter more adult complex and we appreciated that. Boisterous play is strongly discouraged in the pools, so while wonderful for us, might not be the best if you have a group of rambunctous tweens. This particular condo is a very short stroll to the main pool, and a BBQ grill. It is also just a few steps out onto the grass and you can enjoy a view down to the ocean. The owners were very communicative and helpful. Thank you for sharing your a lovely vacation home."

  • Amazing

"I've been coming to the Royal Mauian for 30 years. I love this unit. It's reasonably priced, beautiful view from this unit and it's in the perfect location. I honestly don't think that there's a better place on the island than this. We came for 2 weeks and only left the condo twice. The condo comes with all of the normal amenities and is very comfortable for 2-4 people. You'll find boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas for your use, along with beach towels. A flat screen TV and WiFi internet. You're so close to the water that you hear the waves all night. Honestly, we were so happy there that we just didn't want to move away from the view. The two times that we did leave, we couldn't wait to get back. Great roof garden for BBQ's and eating on the roof. There's also a kitchen up there so you can prepare your food. There are 4 BBQ's so there's always room. We love Maui but we love Kihei the most. We spent 14 days here and could have easily gone another week."

  • Clean, child friendly, great value

"We've been coming to the Maui Sunset for many years and always get a Ground floor unit. The complex is very kid friendly with pool, tennis, pickle ball, putting green, shuffleboard, bocce ball, etc... This unit is super clean with more than enough room for our family of 4 (2 bathrooms!!) and Lynn is very responsive and accommodating, we would highly recommend it."
