  • Very nice home, very comfortable

"I was quite nervous prior to getting there since this was our first VRBO stay, ever. Still, Kiana had made the effort and had sent out a couple of communications a few weeks prior to our arrival and also a couple days before, asking us when our flight would be arriving, etc. I was also worried that house would be close to a highway and about noise, etc. All these fears were unfounded; Kiana made sure she was there when we were arriving and showed us the house which was bigger than I expected and extremely tidy and comfortable. Super clean, had all the advertised amenities. Even the small balcony was understated in the property description; it is big enough to sit whenever you want to, especially in the morning to drink your coffee and look at the mountain shrouded in fog. Absolutely no noise despite the proximity to highway 61. The neighborhood is super quiet, at night there is a constant breeze coming from the ocean; we slept with the windows open and never felt we had to use the air conditioning despite being there in August, arguably the hottest and most humid month for Hawaii. Kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms had plenty of very clean towels. It was like our own home. Kiana provided all sorts of beach items such as boogie boards, goggle, beach chairs, a beach umbrella. Nothing was missing. The Kailua beach is a short 7-10 minute ride by car. You can also walk into town, if you want to and if you do not mind a 20-minute walk. Plenty of small restaurants to dine in, a Whole Foods is nearby but beware it is 2x as expensive as Whole Foods in the mainland. Overall, a nice house to stay, quiet area and a great base to use for your daily excursions to wherever you go. I will definitely look for Kiana's house if we come back to Oah'u."

  • Very nice place with absolutely no parking

"Great apartment, it fit all of our needs except parking. Good size, amenities were great. However there is no parking in or around the property. At all. There are a few metered spots that you might be lucky to get, or pay lots scattered around."

  • Joe, Barb,Bob, Joyce

"We enjoyed our stay with Rena and Marshall. The location was great and very relaxing. Rena had all the amenities a person could think of for frolicking at the beach. Their home is very inviting and comfortable. We spent many evenings on the lanai discussing our days adventures. Rena's home is centrally located to many sightseeing areas and activities. You can get to anywhere on the island in under an hour. Rena was helpful in giving advice on various island activities and we would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Oahu."

  • Beautiful Large House with great views!

"We arrived at the house a little earlier than check in after a long flight with kids. We were warmly greeted by Cliff's wife and daughter. The house was perfect for our needs and had plenty of room for us. This was our first trip to Hawaii and had family with us who stayed at another house close by. They come here every year and kept commenting that this house was the best they have seen in Kailua. It is a big spacious house that has great ammenities, a beautiful pool and is so close to the beach and the park. It also has AC, which may sound silly to some and I assumed it was standard because we are from New Orleans (it's a must there!) but it's not a necessity here. The kitchen is well stocked and even has two dishwashers which is helpful for large groups. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of bath towels and beach towels as well. The older boys loved using the pool everyday and just hanging out when we weren't running around. I can't say enough nice things about the house. It was perfect for our family and a great meeting spot for our extended family staying close by. Cliff and his family stayed on the property in another house and it was nice to have them there if we had any questions. They came in and out through the side of the yard, which was very polite, but we wanted them to feel at home as well. Most importantly they are such a nice family and we appreciated their hospitality. We hope to return again one day. It was such a nice trip - even the jet lag!"
