  • Diamond Head jungle cottage

"I travel a lot for business, and always stay in hotels. Because I needed to be in Hawaii for a couple of weeks, I booked this cottage as an alternative. It was perfect - it is in the most amazing neighborhood on Oahu and literally walking distance (about one mile) to the beaches of Waikiki. (Neighborhood beach is just two blocks away.) However, this cottage is totally quiet and secluded; surrounded by beautiful foliage and landscape. The cottage itself was so much better than I expected and than the pictures - expenses weren't spared when this structure was restored and Jo had it spotless when I arrived. I would not only recommend this place to anyone who can handle the steps to get to it, but I plan to rent it twice per year while I'm in HI on business (as long as it's available). Thanks so much for everything, Jo!"

  • Great views, spacious, could use some fixes

"We were pleasantly surprised by the incredibly beautiful views offered by this suite. The owner - Denise, was very nice, and as other reviewers mentioned, she left chocolates and macadamia nuts for us to enjoy, as well as beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a boogy board. The unit was more spacious then the pictures suggest, and it was great to have a full kitchen. We never used the air conditioning in February, as the cross breezes were amazing. Flat screen t.v.s in both rooms and wifi were much appreciated. My only critical feedback is that there are a few things that have 'worn out' in the unit that could use replacing .... Small things that would make a better impression (e.g., one of the lanai chairs was broken, the lanai table rusted and flaking, the pull out bed was broken, the screens on the Windows put up with tape, the shower glass insert doesn't fit, necessitating also the use of a show curtain which awkwardly covers the glass).... All changes that would make it more esthetically pleasing."

  • Very much enoyed our stay

"We really enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. Tam & Rick are very nice, sweet people. Very accommodating.. The fully fenced yard was beautiful and perfect for my little girl to run around. It is just a short walk to the beach, & honestly one of the most beautiful beach's I have ever seen. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was very clean with everything you could possibly need. I would definitely come back & refer anybody couple or a couple with a small child or two to stay here."

  • So much aloha!

"First off, Gail was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating to all of our needs. The kids loved swimming in the giant backyard pool. The suite was just perfect for us! The two beds were very comfortable and the AC in the bedroom was lovely! The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything you could possibly need. The location is incredible, just two blocks to the beach. And everything you need for the beach is there--boogie boards, snorkel gear, sand toys, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, towels, everything! We would go back to Gail's in a heartbeat! Thank you again for everything! Cheers and Mahalo!"
