  • Exactly What We Needed!

"Our family stayed here for 6 nights, and we couldn't have been happier! It is in a great location...with Turtle Bay and the Polynesian Cultural Center in one direction, and Waimea Valley, Haleiwa, and the Pineapple Plantation in the other. It is right across the road from a perfect snorkeling location and awesome tide pools, as well as right next to Foodland, a coffee shop, and many great food truck options within walking distance. That's not to mention the MANY wonderful beaches to stop at all along the North Shore. It was wonderful to have bikes to use, beach toys, towels, Styrofoam coolers, and snorkeling gear if you need it (we had brought our own). It was also great to have a shower outside to limit the amount of sand tracked in, and also the washer and dryer were nice to have so we didn't have to pack quite as many clothes. We didn't do a whole lot of cooking, more basic breakfast and sandwiches, and ate dinner out...but the kitchen was well stocked so you could cook meals if you wanted. It is super quaint, but is as nice and clean as the pictures show. I would recommend this place to friends and family, and would love to come back again! We are the type of family that uses a rental as a "base", but really don't spend a lot of time there, as we are out exploring instead, and again this was the perfect location to do that! The owners were also very accommodating, and responded promptly as we were trying to book it! If you are looking for a great location to stay on the North Shore this is your place! Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven with our family for the week!!"

  • Great for two families

"Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect for our two families of 4. The layout of the house is a bit choppy, but that actually gave us all space to spread out - kids paying in one room, while adults relaxed on the lanai. We had two issues, which the management company dealt with deftly, so if you think there's an issue, just call; super easy to solve. BOth bathrooms are on the lower level, so could be an issue for some (not for us). The location is superb! Walking distance to Shark's Cove, grocery store (Foodland), food trucks (an outdoor food court, essentially). Walking distance to Banzai Pipeline beach to watch the crazy kids in the surf. Note: The beaches nearest this property are NOT kid friendly - the surf is way too big. Fun to watch, just not for kiddo play. We were OK with this and found other beaches within 15 minute car drive that were great for our family with younger kids. Lots of sand toys and kitchen & bathroom staples on hand. So be sure to take inventory before you shop so you don't waste $$ on unnecessary supplies. We will return! Thank you for sharing your comfortable home."

  • Waves..really BIG, LOUD waves

"The house is wonderful, everything needed to feel like you are at home has been thoughtfully provided. The location was just exactly the experience we wanted..RIGHT on the sand. The outdoor shower was the bomb and everyone fought over who would use it first. What wasn't just as perfect was the type of beach. We traveled with our grandchildren and the shore break waves were just too much for them. Having previously lived on the island I thought we were prepared for the rougher beach experience but it turned out that maybe we weren't. We spent a lot of time driving to other beaches so that the kiddos could enjoy the water more. I think this beach is perfect for those that want to surf or just want to watch the surf and listen to the very loud waves. Great house, great place, just have the right expectations about the surf. Aloha!"

  • Wonderful getaway

"Great place with lapping waves, comfortable sleeping and a well stocked place for 3-4 people. Really beautiful beach perfect for Keiki with surfing close by. We rented bicycles and hardly drove anywhere, so close to shopping and restaurants! Such a wonderful spot! We will come again!"
