  • Great location, great house

"We had a wonderful time staying here - amazing views, easy access to snorkelling, beach, grocery store, food trucks. It's a perfect beach house - relaxed and not 'precious', we didn't spend our time worrying about damage from a bit of sand & damp feet from the beach. Steve was super helpful when we needed anything (eg replaced the non-working coffee pot immediately after I emailed him). Loads of beach & snorkelling gear to use - reef shoes (vital), beach towels, body boards. We were a family group of 9 adults (grandparents, parent & adult kids) and we all loved the deck, the views & being able to walk easily to local facilities. We also enjoyed the easy access (even with the heavy weekend traffic) to Waimea valley, Hale'Iwa, turtle beach & north shore area (we had hire cars). Young adults (staying downstairs) used their aircon. Upstairs the living area & bedrooms caught the breeze & generally the ceiling fans were enough to keep the place at a comfortable temp (although elderly grandparents were happy to have aircon in their bedroom). Only thing that might be an issue for some people - the stairs (even to the downstairs studio). None of us found them a problem but some might."

  • Perfect location

"We stayed here in March, and it was perfect for everything we wanted to do. My husband was close to all his surf spots, and my friend and i walked to sharks cove to go snorkeling, rode bikes and paddleboarded. You can ride the bikes to Pipeline and Sunset beach, also to the awesome food truck village, which we ate at every night. Loved the outdoor shower, and the kitchen. I was a little worried when i saw there was no air conditioning, but it was pleasant at night, i was never hot. We will definitely return!"

  • Can you say...aaaaa...loha?

"My wife and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year and decided to spend it in Hawaii. We've always stayed on Maui but this trip decided to stay on Ohau for the first week before heading to Maui for the second week. We prefer the quieter side of things so staying in or even near Honolulu and Waikiki was of no interest so we started looking at the North Shore. We found our dream vacation place only an hour north. We could not be more pleased with the decision!!! Chaney and Myles made the booking and arrival so easy and the house and location was exactly as expected. No frills was no problem. We wanted a place where we could completely relax...and found that the few times we did leave the house we were anxious to get back to it because it was so peaceful. We had thought about doing some touristy things but decided to spend most of our time...at the beach house. The beach was literally in your face and only a few steps down from the lanai to the sand although the vegetation growing between the two gave very nice privacy. The surf was up for this time of year with swells at 10'-12' at least. Surfers were taking advantage of it and we would sit there and take it all in. We walked the beach every morning, stopping at Ted's Bakery for breakfast a few of those times...which is a must. Again, no frills but oh so good. In fact the nicest meals we had were either cooked at the house, Ted's (breakfast and leftovers) or one of the many food trucks. And, as everyone mentions, the outdoor shower is amazing. We never used the one inside. With the sunsets, the views, the sound of the surf and feeling like we were away from it all was more than we could have asked for. We would definitely go again, and stay a little longer next time. Doug & Deb the Colorado Rocky Mountains"

  • Wonderful and enchanting stay!

"This was our family's second time staying at The Coral House/Zen Villa. I had been waiting all year to return to the peace and tranquility of this very special place. Veronica has truly created a unique and tranquil place to just relax. The house is amazing, and reflects her attention to detail. Needless to say, we cannot wait to return. Mil gracias por un lindo y bonito tiempo en Haleiwa. Linda &. Mike O'Neill"
