  • Sunset Beach - A relaxing vacation spot

"The Sunset Beach property was perfect for our family of four. Upon arrival, we were greeted by covered parking and beautiful flowers and foliage in the front yard. Before going into the house, we took in the amazing beachfront view and knew vacation had started! It is a view that never got old, often times with only the beach, ocean, and sky - no people. That was something we appreciated about the property - the privacy. However, when people were in front of the house, it was entertaining. We enjoyed watching paddle boarders, surfers, and fishermen. One night we stayed up later than expected to watch a local fisherman battle a catch (a manta ray that he kindly released). The house was clean, well-stocked, and had many extra surprises. Beach chairs, boogie boards, fun-oodles, and snorkel equipment in the outside shed along with puzzles, games, and books in the inside entertainment center. We loved the well-equipped kitchen complete with an extra fridge that was perfect for our vacation beverages. The outdoor lanai boasted a BBQ, large table, chase lounge chairs, and a Jacuzzi! We loved eating meals outside or playing cards with the breathtaking view of the ocean and an occasional bright colored gecko. Having our own personal steps to the beach made it easy and convenient to have our toes in the sand, go swimming, and snorkeling. The outdoor shower was the perfect end to each day. Other great additions were a washer, dryer, and clothesline, great for hanging up suits and towels. Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing, restorative get away, this is the place for you and your family!"

  • Velzyland will make you feel right at home!

"Aloha! We stayed at Velzyland 5 nights with 12 people in August 2016. Inviting, comfy, relaxing. Kelly/owner is very friendly/easy going, was always reachable/responsive, made preplanning stress free. Property is located away from (but still not that far to drive to) hustle/bustle of downtown, yet close to market, eateries, hiking trails, local sites, gorgeous soft sand beaches (walking distance). It is on the “other side of the island” (in comparison to the airport), but for perspective, it is about an hour drive away from Diamond Head - still pretty close to anything else on the island! Downstairs: Kitchen very spacious, stocked with basic necessities, ceiling fan, huge island with cooktop and enough space to serve food, open to dining/living rooms. Dining area comfortable and centrally located next to kitchen/living rooms. Living room also has ceiling fan and TV (we only watched due to Olympics). There is a master suite and 3 bedrooms. 2 of the bedrooms (queens) can sleep 2 people/ea – both very quaint. 3rd room has cool queen/full bunk over bunk, can sleep 4 people comfortably. Also 2 full baths, more than enough for our group size. Master suite is big – huge, comfy bed, walk in closet, dining/work area w/ table/two chairs, countertop w/ sink, which is in addition to master bath, sliding door facing patio. Upstairs: Indoor stairs lead to apartment (can be rented separately, also has separate entrance on outside). Apartment perfect for 4 people, comes w/ 2 bedrooms and full bath, kitchen equipped w/ basics, living/dining room combo, fans in all rooms, tons of windows and sliding doors. We had space opened up during entire stay to enjoy perfect island breeze. Cute and perfect to rent for a couple or 2. Outside: BBQ used nightly, located in patio with dining set. Garage pretty big, comes w/ washer/dryer (very durable, used almost daily), ping pong table. Property boasts lush tropical trees/plants. Ample parking space on driveway, street was quiet, friendly neighbors. At Velzyland everything was very clean, relaxing and inviting. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Oahu and highly recommend for anyone if they want a place that is away from the crowds and close to awesome beaches. I felt right at home here! Tip: Have a large group and plan to stay a while? Make a food shopping stop before heading to the property. Costco/Walmart are centrally located in the middle of the island. Mahalo, Kelly, for your hospitality!!!"

  • Bliss

"What a way to relax. The surf lulls you to sleep at night & during the day I could just sit & watch it all the time. Sunsets absolutely magnificent. Turtles on the beach, wow. Swimming was good most days, when the big surf started it was a little wild but I was still happy to just get my feet wet. Town itself has nice little stores & we had no trouble getting anything we wanted. Spagettinis was good for a cheap easy meal if you don't feel like cooking. Sightseeing Waimea Valley, Sunset & Banzai beaches, Dole plantation even decided to be very brave & did a shark swim!! Would have been better if we had chosen a day when the surf wasn't up but still a great time. Well maintained unit fan & air conditioner work very well and well appointed with everything you need to be able to provide for yourselves. All in all I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. We are definitely planning to come back in the future."
