  • Outstanding place

"My wife, two daughters and two teenage friends had an outstanding time at this house. Being in Pupukea put us just a few minutes from town and walking distance to some of the greatest food trucks I have ever been to. Whale watching from the deck each morning was a highlight I will never forget. Listening to the roaring surf was hypnotic and we even secured a hammock to the pilings downstairs. Honestly, there is very little I would change about the place and I even cooked on the gas grill outside; despite 25 MPH winds. Don't waste your time on the leeward side of the island. Northshore is beautiful. Sunset Beach is amazing and Waimea park is the best spot on Oahu. I will miss this place for sure."

  • House if perfect!!!

"My family and I just returned from Oahu for a wedding. We had the luxury of traveling around the island and meeting up with family members that also rented houses in different locations. This house is by far the best!!! We could not even compare the privacy and views we had on the North Shore. Close to sharks cove for snorkeling, foodland (grocery store), Cliff jumping in waimea bay etc.....We had the best time and had awesome memories of this vacation. We stayed in Waikiki for 2 days and we almost cried missing the house in North Shore. Awesome memories and there is no other house I would even look to rent when we return. Michel and Sid became like friends while we stayed. Both are very responsive and very friendly!!! Now we are back on the mainland and still have our group txt going with pictures and memories. We will never forget this trip and hope to return next year!!!!"

  • Great value and location for the family

"Great location, nice simple home. I'm giving it 5stars for ease of rental, location and practical use value. We were a family of five with one friend during this stay. The rooms are on the small size but enough room for 2. The 5th and 6th were in the living room on the couches. No problem for kids. Although the BBQ unit was Inoperable on one half and you must supply your own beach towels, it does not warrant less stars. You have to work with it at this rate. Yang provided lots of equipment to use. The home was clean and served us well. You can tell that Yang is trying to make his guests comfy. He was present throughout but not seen nor heard. He also provides extra towels quickly. Thank you for the nice stay. Melody: California"

  • Wonderful location and gorgeous condo, a bit noisy

"LOCATION: perfect. Right on a beach great for snorkeling/swimming and turtle watching, with easy access to surfing spots throughout Haleiwa. Far enough from town to feel remote, not touristy, with beautiful surrounding parks and adjacent beaches. Didn't perceive any safety issues. CONDO: gorgeous. Impeccably clean (and I'm fussy!) with high end decor and great kitchen stuff. We cooked every meal in the condo. Soft sheets and plenty of fluffy towels. They were so kind to leave snorkel masks (clean!), beach chairs and dedicated beach towels. SMALL CRITICISMS: the bedroom adjoins the parking lot and has no ocean view, so we made up the comfortable futon in the living room. It was great for the two of us, but might be a bit uncomfortable for larger groups. The bathroom in the bedroom was small but lovely. The 2nd bath was somewhat small but easily usable and, again, beautifully remodeled. NOT A PROBLEM: no air conditioning. We loved the breezy December temperature and used fans for total comfort. The screen door onto the patio doesn't lock (neither does the back bedroom door), but we didn't tell the owners while we were there, so not a legit complaint. We felt safe, though it was a bit disconcerting to have a couple of residents walk by right outside the unit, which is ground floor. Not a big deal. MAJOR ISSUE: the parking lot noise made it impossible to sleep in the adjacent bedroom. People weren't loud partiers, but with windows open, every footstep and car could be heard. We slept in the living room facing the ocean, and were "serenaded" by a crowing rooster every morning from 4:30 - 5:30 am and occasionally at other times. We're early risers, so not a huge deal, but expect to be awakened by the pretty rooster immediately outside the ground floor unit behind a chain link fence. The chickens weren't a problem, nor were the many beautiful wild birds. We could, however, hear every neighbor as they moved furniture (probably futons converted to beds at night). OWNERS: lovely. Never intrusive, always immediately responsive. They seem to take real pride in maintaining this unit and accommodating guest needs. This is worth an extra star! Overall, for our needs, we may try to find a quieter spot, maybe a house. But this condo is a great value for the location and how beautiful and well maintained it is."
