  • Beautiful place, beautiful location, beautiful island.

"Love this island every time we come back. Such a beautiful place, almost didn't go home after our holiday... We stayed for a total of 11 nights. Had up to 6 people staying in the place at one time (Wendy was very accommodating), though most of the time it was less than that. Even with 6, it still felt very roomy. Fully equipped kitchen and living room, including a coffee maker that was integral to some mornings. :) Super close to everything "downtown" Haleiwa, 10 minute walk max to most of the stores. But also not too busy since you're off the main road. There was a bit of traffic in front of the house, but nothing that bothered us (we are city folk though). Lots of great coffee places, restaurants, surf shops etc in Haleiwa. It is a bit touristy, but it's hard to escape that. You face the harbor, cool to see all the boats going in and out. And a 30 second walk to the beach, which was probably the best part. Great for surfing, lots of locals that go there, does get a bit busy when the wave's good. There's a nice park there too, picnics or sports or anything else that suits your fancy. Lots of great hikes around as well, we did several. One out by the NW airport (gliding was also really cool!), bunch around the east coast, and a bunch more down in the SE quadrant of the island. There is a bit of driving involved, but you can make a day out of the trips, just avoid rush hour times. Can also recommend Hanauma Bay for snorkeling, or even scuba if you have your own gear / rent some. After every day it was always nice coming back to this awesome house though, it did feel very much like a home away from home. Cook up some dinner or head into Haleiwa for dinner, relax around the house after a "hard" days work, and pass out in comfy beds, ready to wake up and repeat the next day. One small note though, and you get this wherever you stay on the North Shore, there's a lot of feral roosters. And they start early. Best to bring earplugs. ;)"

  • Magical Family Vacation

"My family and I spent the 4th of July holiday at this beach bungalow. (5 adults, and 2 teens, 2 pre-teens) I can't say enough about this property! It was everything we wanted and more! We suggest taking the longer route (only 15 minutes further) to get to the house that is on the coast. It is a beautiful route! Don't forget to stop at Gionne's shrimp truck about 5 to 10 minutes from the house. We had garlic shrimp and also ordered the corn on a stick from another stand! This a must stop....you won't regret it!! We fell in love with the property the minute we pulled up! The owner was great to work with and as the keeper of the property. They even stopped by to clean the hot tub one day and gave us ideas of places to visit, etc. The house is on a quiet little street and close to a grocery store and food trucks. The Foodland down the street is great for quick stops, however, we preferred the Foodland 10 miles away for bigger selection on meat and fruit. There are several farmer's markets close to the house as well. Ted's café (2-3 miles away)has great coffee and pastries as well! We also loved the waffles at the food trucks by the house. The shaveice stand close to the house is awesome! We probably went back 6 times that week! The owners at North Shore surf shop are awesome. We paddle'd up the river (Manu Oke Kai) and let the kids jump off the bridge. We also snorkeled at shark's cove right by the house. There were a ton of great fish and we even got to see many turtles. All the kids working at this shop are fun and all the activities are wonderful. My daughter even lost her phone at a stand and they returned it to us the next day! We traveled to Waikiki for a day to the beach and wished that we would have just stayed at North Shore. We hiked up to the waterfall (Waimea) and it is a breathtaking walk! We also liked the beach at Waimea Bay Beach Park. The kids loved jumping off the cliffs, over and over. We literally grilled every day. The yard is great for entertaining....decks, hot tub, grill, table, etc. The beach is literally like your own private beach. Waves are big but so awesome to see, you can walk further down to calmer water. If you like exercise, you can run on the beach or there are great bike paths close. We loved the hot tub in the yard under the tree. What a relaxing way to spend your evening after the beach. The whole property, including Trish and Rai are FANTASTIC! It was a magical vacation!!!!!"

  • Great house. Fantastic location

"We took our family of 6 (including a toddler and a baby) to Hawaii and stayed is this fantastic place on the North Shore. With the infamous Sunset beach right out front of this house (you can see the waves break from almost every room including the bathroom!!) and Pipeline just down the road, it was perfect for our surfing oriented family. The whole time we were there we couldn't quite believe how great the location was!! There are many other great family spots close by too. I am really glad we stayed on the North Shore as our base and got a hire car and did day trips to Wikiki, West Coast etc. The house was clean and comfortable and we had absolutely everything we needed. The couch and beds were really comfortable too. We want to return to Hawaii again one day and would definitely book this house again."

  • Outstanding in every way - you won't go wrong renting this condo from Kim!

"Aloha! We recently completed a glorious three-week stay here. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. The first thing we noticed (apart from the positive energy and decor) was the fact it looked and smelled so clean. Some places look clean but you find out later they really weren't. There's nothing nicer than moving into a truly clean condo! Everything we needed is in the unit, from cooking utensils to plush towels to feather pillows on the futon and lots of beach chairs in the closet. Furnishings and decor are bright, uplifting and totally in sync with what Hawaii and the North Shore of Oahu are all about. Both the futon in the main room and queen size bed in the bedroom are super-comfy. The lanai has high-end rocking chairs with footstools - we loved relaxing there and enjoying the view after a wonderful day in the sun and surf. And to top it all off, Kim is a sweetie - warm, responsive and professional. It was clear to us very early in our dealings with her that she had our best interests at heart in helping to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We have rented many, many vrbo-listed condos and we've enjoyed this one the most. We really didn't want to leave! Can't wait to come back later this year!"
