  • great condo

"We really enjoyed staying in this condo. We were here for two weeks and really had a wonderful time! I was a little nervous because there weren't a lot of reviews but it is just as pictured. It is simple but nice, comfortable and great location. We took advantage of some of the turtle bay offerings (spa, yoga, restaurants) and it was a great spot on the north shore. The beach at turtle bay was a good option to walk to (good snorkeling) and other great beaches are just less than 15 minutes away. Only two items that were less than awesome... 1- the bed... frame and mattress. I am picky and it wasn't horrible but just could have been better. 2- food options nearby. obviously this is out of the control of the owner, but I did wish we had some of the wonderful food choices that town has to offer. turtle bay restaurants really leave something to be desired, however the newish food trucks and sharks cove area and restaurants in haleiwa are good. I give five stars because we had a great stay... and I also feel like this is amazing value!!"

  • Great location

"I would actually give it a 3.5 stars if I could but I'm erring on the side of generosity. Great communication and instructions on how to get there and into the property. Location was ideal. Pretty close to Foodland market on either side of Kam Hwy (10-15 min). Having beach towels, chairs were great! They also had snorkels, boogie boards and beach umbrella that we didn't use but it was nice to have in case we wanted it. Having a washer and dryer really helped but one tip about the dryer: don't use it while you're home. There is no venting tube to let the heat escape outdoors so it got really hot during the day. We usually ran it when we were out of the home. Having AC in the bedroom was nice although it kinda smelled of faint cigarette smoke. I don't know if it's from the neighbor's because I didn't smell it all the time. Our son slept on the sofa bed in the living room. He said it wasn't too hot at night (no AC but there's a ceiling fan) but he had to keep the sliding glass door open to stay cool enough. The only reason why I'm not giving it a full 4 star or even a 5 star is because when we arrived there was a large cockroach (2" long) that was nearly dead on the kitchen floor. Then I found another small one in the kitchen sink which I was able to kill. But after that I didn't see anymore. We were also battling ants the whole time even though we didn't leave any food out. There weren't a lot of them (such as no trail of ants) but you'd see a couple all the time on the counters or sink. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time. It had everything we needed."

  • Relaxing week

"Overall our week in the lovely condo was quite enjoyable. We did, however, note that the electrical outlets in the kitchen had a problem. When plugging anything into a couple of them, they would repeatedly trip. Found that the one all the way to the left would accommodate the coffee pot and the one where the microwave was plugged in would allow us to use the toaster. The other two kept tripping. Also, was a little disappointed that the shower in the larger of the two bathrooms doesn't work. Other than that, the pools were lovely, the breezes were great (never even used the air conditioning), and the lanai provided a lovely morning coffee respite. We totally enjoyed our week in this well-appointed condo and would recommend it to anyone seeking to spend time on the North Shore."

  • Excellent Experience!! :)

"We loved staying in the Agnew's condo at Kuilima Estates. First I REALLY appreciated how easy it was to get ahold of Amy. She was always delightful and accessible. We loved the condo. We appreciated how nice it was to return to everyday....the lovely cross breezes, the "MUST-DO" list in her letter and the use of the "Oahu Revealed" book in the desk drawer was so useful and MUCH appreciated! We loved the proximity to Turtle Bay and to all the things we wanted to do on the North Shore. Gunstock Ranch was close as was Waimea Bay, Shark's Cove (a MUST to snorkel) and Sunset Beach. Ted's Bakery was a frequent stop. ALL of it was fantastic! Thank you Agnew family for giving us a home away from home!!!!"
