  • Cool Get-A-Way, Great for a Couple or Family

"As we live in the middle of the desert, near Las Vegas, our purpose for driving to Northern Idaho and a lake setting was to cool down. I also wanted to get a line wet and my wife wanted to do some reading and stitching. This house was perfect. Open floor plan, bright and airy with A/C and heat to meet any weather situation. The owner, Bill, is fantastic and will do whatever he can to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The water was low this year so I didn't get much fishing off of Bill's dock but a half mile away is a public boat launch which also has a picnic area, protected swimming area and large dock from which people fish all the time. I was able to catch bass, perch, bluegill, sunfish from the dock and saw others catch some catfish. Bill also provides a paddle boat and canoe which can be enjoyed by all on the lake or fished from if the wind isn't blowing too bad. The necessary life jackets are also provided. I had some breezy days so I stuck to the dock. The lake is small enough so that you can watch your kids in the canoe or paddle boat from the dock and really never loose site of them. Yet the lake is big enough that if you bring your own speed boat you can ski or jet ski to your hearts content as the lake isn't very busy. The whole family can also swim off of Bill's dock. The house is 3 story with all bedrooms being on the 3rd floor. There is a fantastic walk in shower with dual shower heads on the 3rd floor. The 1st and 2nd floor each have toilets with either a walk in shower or bath with shower. There is a den/family area with tv on the lower lever and the main floor (2nd floor) has plenty of room in the living room with tv, a sizable kitchen with everything you need and a dining area. Outside on the deck there is a large patio set and gas grill. In back on the same floor is the hot tub and outdoor shower with some seating. The deck wraps around the entire house and you do have a private rear entrance/exit to the hot tub. The TV stations are lacking, however, if there is something special you are interested in talk with Bill prior to your arrival and he will probably be able to arrange to accommodate your request. Within 4 miles there is a great Walmart and a Cabelas and a quick stop is within 2 miles. There are some fast food places within a few miles and Post Falls is just about 6 miles away and offers a variety of offerings. Embers Wood Fired Pizza is a 5 minute walk from the house, its fantastic. This is the best rental in the area."

  • Just what we hoped for

"We were three adults and three little kids. It was rainy. No problem. The kids joyfully swam for hours a day. The house is spacious and lovely, with all the entertainment (screens, cards, boardgames, stuffed animals) we could want. The kitchen is roomy and well set up, the beds are comfortable. When the sun peaked out, we took the quick ride to downtown/lake. We also checked out some great nearby shops, like Bare Kombucha and Growler Guys. Ros was a pleasure to deal with all the way. And when I thought I'd left some clothes behind, she offered to send them at her expense. Now that's a host. Can you imagine how great this house will be when Silverwood opens in May?"

  • Very pleasant stay

"The condo was large and worked well for the three of us sisters. Compared to others I have rented, the supply of dishes and cooking utensils was much better. It was quite easy to find what we needed, but we never found a cutting board. We used folded up paper towel to keep from marring the countertops when we sliced vegetables or bread. I especially liked the shower in the king bed room. The water was soft so my hair was shining, and the large shower head was enjoyable. We enjoyed the size of the double vanity in there. For three women, all of whom wish to have their own bed, we could have wished that the king bed could be two twins that would be able to be separated. However, one of us slept on the pull-out sofa in the living room, which gave us the third bed. Overall, the unit was restful. Small children above our unit created lots of footfalls over us, and that was not restful, but the noise seemed to stop before or about 10:00 p.m. A successful, pleasant stay."

  • Nice spot, just be sure to plan!

"We met up with some family here in July and had a great time. This is a good spot, but you have to make sure you bring everything you need for the time you're there. It's a 30 minute drive to Coeur D'Alene, so if you forget anything, it's not a quick trip. The beach area is nice, just bring your own beach stuff (floaties, SUP, etc.) as there are no places to rent near by. There are nice chairs there and a volleyball court (but no Volleyballs). Overall we had a great time! The bike path (part of the rails to trails project) is accessible down in Harrison (30 minutes south) and is very extensive (75 miles long!)."
