  • Great 50th Wedding Annivesary

"We rented this house for 6 days over the 4th of July weekend to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We had three generations with a variety of interests helping us celebrate and we were concerned about being "stranded" too far from town. We thought the Ash House was perfect. It was a block from the lake and an easy walk to downtown Coeur d'Alene. What a great decision! We swam and played at Sanders Beach a block away. We rode our bikes almost daily along the Idaho Centennial Trail. We hiked Tubbs Hill and walked or rode our bikes downtown daily for lattes or to go to the park or shopping. We went to the 4th of July parade, the concerts in the park, and the 4th of July fireworks all with out getting in our car. And of course, we walked into town to get the famous Hudson's hamburgers. The Ash House was perfect...very nicely appointed with beautifully decorated spaces, an amazingly stocked kitchen, plenty of beach toys and accessories and the screened porch which was so relaxing. Everything about the house met our needs to a "T". The grandkids also want to thank you for sending over the neighborhood cat to say hello. Very friendly. Thanks Phil and Jan for sharing your home. We recommend it highly!"

  • Quiet & Cozy

"If you're looking for a secluded and comfortable stay, The Nook is it! My husband and I wanted to visit Coeur d'Alene but didn't want the big resort experience or price. The Nook fit exactly what we were looking for; a quiet spot, off the beaten path, but close enough to visit town, cozy enough for two, with the option to go to town for a meal or fix something and stay in. The property is very clean with a comfortable bed and cozy futon to watch a movie on. Diana had clear instructions and recommendations for visiting town. All of our necessities were met and then some; exactly what we needed!"

  • Comfortable and classy lakefront getaway

"Lovely location with impeccable decor and comforts. Jenifer is easy to work with and we had a fabulous time riding bikes and going into town. Ideally located with an outstanding view. There is a road in front of the house that can be noisy at times but overall a location I would return to!"

  • Wonderful house in lovely neighborhood

"The house was indeed incredibly spacious and fit all of our huge family reunion. Mary keeps a very tidy house with all the clean linens, extra pillows and comforters, etc. we could need. She was even gracious enough to leave snacks and a few necessities in the cupboards. The huge back deck with several nice table/chair sets and backyard were a pleasure to hang out in, and having a hammock and firepit was really cool. Lawn was well-manicured, fountain in the backyard was running, and she even left firelogs for our use. I'm knocking off one star because the house was not perfect, but it is after all an older house, and for the price per bedroom you can't expect a palace. The downstairs rooms were a little unpolished, but that's to be expected in a finished basement. It was suitable to fit our huge group, and in fact it was perfect for that branch of the family because everyone could sleep together in their own little "compound." A few minor wall scuffs here and there did not in any way diminish the loveliness of the rest of the house, especially the living room and master suite. Kitchen was big and great to hang out in. House is about 3 short blocks to little Sanders Beach and Tubbs Hill, a pleasant walk through a really nice neighborhood. A five-or-so-minute drive to the cool shops and restaurants of Sherman Avenue, which has really gentrified in the many years since I've lived there, and the new and improved city parks near the CDA resort. CDA is so much lovelier than it was when I grew up there. Mary went above and beyond expectations to ensure a smooth rental process. She made every effort to make sure our family had a memorable stay. Overall, I would recommend this house."
