  • Beautiful home for a wonderful vacation :)

"My family of 4 recently stayed 4 nights at the Crockett house! Beautiful, peaceful place to come "home" to each night after enjoying day trips to the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum and Kentucky Kingdom! The house is just as described and more, beautifully decorated. Owners were quick to respond to questions. We also met 2 of the owners during our stay and enjoyed talking with them! Will be keeping this rental number and hope to be able to stay again some day :)"

  • Great house for a family vacation

"We had a wonderful stay at this house. Four large bedrooms (two king beds, two queen beds) made plenty of room for all 7 of us. The two sunrooms were inviting and very useable. My son needed to do some business-related work while we were on vacation, and the home office made that very easy, too. Kentucky Lake in general, and the Jonathan Creek area in which this house is located, is very laid-back and slow-paced. Don't expect the big supermarket or mega-Walmart nearby; the restaurants are pretty much all mom-and-pop type. Everything was very much as described in the listing; we did have a water supply line on the toilet rupture during our stay, and the owner had it fixed the following morning - very responsive. All in all, we were very pleased with this house and would recommend it."

  • On the farm!

"Our whole family was so happy to stay at this beautiful house on a farm! Our children are ages 16, 18, 20, and 22. Comfortable beds and three full bathrooms made it perfect for us. We enjoyed solitude and walks along the tree-lined lane and other farm paths. We saw beautiful sunsets and a beautiful night sky of stars. Highlights of our time include some things that our host, Caron, suggested; a tour of a barrel factory and attending an Amish fruit and vegetable auction. We hope to come back!"

  • 50th Anniversary Celebration with our family

"This is a great place for a get-away family vacation! We had 16 and had plenty of room and everything necessary furnished in the home for our stay. The kids enjoyed the front yard and also everyone made the trip down to the lake for lots of swimming (except grandma and grandpa) :) It is rare that we all get together as our sons live in different states and one in Europe. It was a precious time together."
