  • Spotless!

"We arrived at this home and were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this property. The owners were very nice. They gave us some advice on where to go for dinner. The only issue we came across were the 4 power outages in 6 days, of course the owners had no control over this. The other nice thing we loved was the washer and dryer. Thank you, Paul and Kathleen."

  • Perfect first time trip to Maine

"If you want a stay in a house that offers a flavor of what Maine is all about, this is the place. The condition of the house was immaculate and the open floor plan, comfortable furnishings, and nautical décor added to the charm. When we weren't hiking at Acadia we enjoyed sitting on the deck reading or watching the sunset over the water in the evening. The kitchen had updated appliances and all worked perfectly. The office, with a great view, allowed me to work when I had to. Susan was super responsive to all our questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again."

  • Perfect house and location for annual girl's trip September 2016

"The cottage was exactly like it was listed plus the owners arranged for a week of fabulous weather for us (smile). Seven ladies were very comfortable in this spacious cottage. The kitchen offered abundant dinnerware and cookware. It was stocked with all the supplies needed to begin our week stay. We had coffee each morning on the large deck with comfortable chairs to enjoy the breathtaking view. The large dining room table provided the perfect place for our nightly board games or cards. All the beds were super for a great nights sleep after our full fun days. The area attractions such as Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park kept us on the go. We rented bikes in Bar Harbor and rode on the Carriage Paths to Jordon's Pond for lunch and popovers on the lawn. (Highly recommended experience for scenery and cuisine) Several in our group voted that day the trip favorite. Hiking the Beehive Trail in Acadia National Park was a personal favorite but all the hikes were enjoyable. Bar Harbor is a fun town with lots of shops and dining opportunities. Massages at The Bar Harbor Inn Spa started our vacation week by relieving the stress from our long flight ---Montana, Idaho and South Dakota--- a long ways away. Location and privacy of this property is suberb. The owners are very receptive to questions and suggested several books to read before our trip. Great week vacation due to this awesome cottage and its amenities plus gorgeous area to explore."

  • Fantastic spot!

"The pictures don't lie. The property is stunning and my boys (7 and 10) couldn't get enough of playing on the rocks, watching the crabs and other critters when the tide went in and out, and enjoying the open space on the cove. Cheryl was wonderful to deal with, had great suggestions for activities in the area, and was attentive to all our needs. The perfect host! We hiked out to Barred Island, found beautiful shells on Sand Beach, kayaked to Little Sheep, took a lobster boat cruise on the Isle au Haut mailboat, and went on a harbor tour with Old Quarry. Kids got to swim at the quarry pond on Green Island--a real treat. The house itself was very clean and comfortable, with tons of great reading material and amazing views of the cove. The fire pit was set up for us when we arrived and we made good use of it, roasting smores and enjoying the beautiful evenings. We loved exploring Stonington and Deer Isle and definitely hope to return! Thank you for your hospitality!"
