  • A charming home on the water

"The home was tastefully decorated and had a great floor plan. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the home. It is located in a quiet area and the restaurants and service do close quite early, so plan accordingly. The house is located on the water with a view of the harbor and a short path to the shore. It is a great place for relaxation."

  • Best Maine Vacation Spot

"This was like a home away from home with your own private coastline. You could easily stay at the house all week and wake up to the water lapping on the rocks and relax all day long or you could explore the Maine Coast Line. The house made you feel like you were in an Architectural Digest photo shoot with a quaint kitchen, spacious dining and living areas with vaulted ceilings, views of the water from the deck, and relaxing private bedroom locations for quiet time. For anyone that does not like stairs, this house has a comfortable main level bedroom and full bath. We all had fun walking on the rocks and being mesmerized by the water and sunrise views. The Coast Line offers State Parks with all levels of hiking and beautiful views; small unexpected eateries off the beaten path in addition to well know excellent faire locations; galleries, "rock farms", antique stores and other unique Maine finds. The Owners have a fantastic Welcome Book, Local Guide Books, and Maps near the Foyer for you to use during your stay. The fun part is also finding new locations too. The drive to Schoodic Peninsula, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park are all quick and easy to access. Bar Harbor is the largest town which offers Lighthouse Tours on a Boat, fantastic views, and a lot of shops & restuarants. Acadia had trails for all levels of hikers and educational areas for children. Schoodic Point is not to be missed for the views, sunrises, and sunsets. We stayed for one week, but we really would like to make it two weeks on our next trip to Maine. Since we found the perfect house and location, we would rent the same house again and definitely recommend it to all our friends."

  • Great relaxing vacation in Maine

"This was our first trip to Maine and we loved it! The A-frame cabin has everything you need for a great stay. Clean, comfortable bed, and great views. Sunrises are spectacular. Kitchen is well equipped and everything is there to prepare whole Maine lobster or any other meal of your choice. This is for guests who appreciate the great outdoors and want to get away from the city. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are less than an hour away. Local lobster fisherman work their traps in front of the cabin, and you can purchase live lobsters from local fishermen for $5.25-$9.00 a pound. Twelve foot tides change the scenery everyday. We plan to return again next year. Scott is helpful and knowledgeable of the area. He can share more ideas of what to see and do than what you can accomplish in one week."

  • Magnificent location

"The location is as good as it looks in the photos, no question, and it is secluded except for the lobster boats which will come by to check their traps from time to time. We did visit Acadia/Bar Harbor two days, but this is a good hours drive and the location of the house was so good we didn't really feel the need to spend too much time away. There are two small markets around 15-20 min from the house and they were fine for the basics, but make sure you stock up on your way through Ellsworth (we stopped a Hannaford supermarket). And stop at Riverside Cafe for some pie."
