  • Great Vacation Find

"What a great vacation find! Having been to Maine several times as a family to visit lighthouses (Coast Guard military service background), we were delighted with the location and small village atmosphere at nearby Winter Harbor/Gouldsboro. Being tucked away in such a private setting was great. We felt like we had discovered a hidden lodge with all the amenities you could ever want. We enjoyed cooking together in the well-appointed kitchen, taking walks in the beautifully landscaped surroundings, and generally just kicking back. Of course, enjoying the heart-stopping view was the best thing going. The only negative to our trip was not seeing a real moose!"

  • Phenomenal!

"It feels like this house is on the very edge of the rock cliff, over-looking the ocean, providing amazing views from most rooms. Newly designed kitchen is wonderful! Property manager and owners are great to with with. Can't wait to come back!"

  • The Perfect Vacation

"Wow!! If you are trying to decide on a place to stay in Maine, look no further. The house was impeccable and the view - STUNNING. Everything was perfect. The details and thoughtfulness were unbelievable. I felt like I was visiting an old friend who put every thought into our visit. We have two teens and a nine year old. It was perfect for our family. It was so private and every time were in the back on the hammock, in the adirondack chairs or on the rocks by the ocean, we were in absolute awe that that was our backyard for the week. The breeze and the scents of pine and sea are fantastic. I completed reading books that I started a year ago, and even got to read one from the owner's extensive library. We were able to RELAX and let the real world disappear for a while. The town and people were amazing. You have to go eat at J.M. Gerrish for breakfast and visit the 5 and 10 store across the street. Take the ferry over to Bar Harbor for the ride alone. The town is also so fun to just walk around, or sit on their grassy hill and watch the boats go in and out of the harbor. Acadia Park and Schoodic are gorgeous. Waking up for the sunrise is worth it, and watching the sun set every night was part of our day. The Farmer's Market every Tuesday is fun and the antique shops are fun to stroll through as well. You also have to go see the cottages in Winter Harbor. We really hated to leave. This was a perfect family vacation!"

  • Two Loons

"A five star view! My family had a wonderful time fishing, swimming and kayaking on the lake. We rented an additional kayak through a local business so that we all could paddle to the diving board located on an island in the middle of the lake. We spent our days either hiking at Acadia National Park or on some of the more local trails. Every afternoon the wind picked up and kept the bugs away for our night swimming. Very close to restaurants, grocery stores and other establishments. The house was clean and the owner was available to answer all of our questions."
