                                                                                                      I wanted to celebrate my birthday in peace and quite away from New York City .We found this house in a quite fishing village it was a win win for us my husband loves sea food and I love peace .The house had everything that we needed included free Lobsters . The area itself is very quite and everyone waves to you weather they are driving or walking. Aaron is very attentive and friendly we had a small leak below the sink he was there very soon to fix the problem. he gave us directions and suggestions of things in the area . Walmart is also 20 minutes away there are also small grocery stores, restaurants and ice cream shops in the area go across the street and walk all the way to the Navy Base its nice to take pictures there .I would definitely consider going back there and recommended this place to anyone .                                                                                                       We loved staying at Kissick Point. The house was well maintained and has fantastic views of the bay. We saw Bald Eagles and Seals almost every day. The way the house is setup, every bedroom has a terrific view of the water. The location is remote and quiet, but still close enough to stores and sight seeing. The only (small) negative I could say is none of the bedrooms had alarm clocks. Like most people, I use my cell phone as an alarm clock so I didn't think of this as a problem. But what I learned about being so far east is that the sun rises early. There were several days where I thought it must be at least 8:30 when I woke up only to reach for my phone and see it was 5:45. An alarm clock that I could just glance at without having to reach for my phone and press some buttons would have been nice so I could have just told my brain "too early, back to bed." Otherwise, the house was clean, well maintained, had plenty of room, and terrific views. I highly recommend this house if you're looking for a great place to stay in Maine.
