  • Gorgeous Mount Desert Island home.

"The home is spacious, clean, beautifully laid out and extremely well equipped for cooking, grilling, relaxing and reading. The location was ideal. We were able to bicycle nearby and access the Carriage Roads near Eagle Lake. We used a telescope at night to enjoy the stars. This is only 10 minutes from Bar Harbor. We hope to return there again in the future."

  • A Great Vacation Home

"Our group of four empty-nester couples had a wonderful time at this property. The home is beautifully appointed. The backyard patios, including the one at the ocean's edge, are spectacular. Wildlife was in plain view, including several deer, a porcupine and several types of birds. There was plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy life. The property is on a secluded, treed, private road with easy, quick access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The property owner was great to work with, very gracious and ready to assist with anything to make our stay even more enjoyable. This is great living!"

  • Wonderful Visit

"We were blown away by the beauty of the house and surrounding land. The location was great for us- very quiet, right on the water, and a short drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor downtown. Traveling with a one year old and a dog, we wanted a house that was more than just a place to sleep, some place where we would feel comfortable hanging out both during the day as well as at night after the baby went to sleep- this house exceeded our expectations. Brenda was extremely helpful and accessible with any questions or concerns. We were prepared to bring a portable crib and high chair but we were happy to find that both of these could be provided for us which lightened the load in the car. We definitely recommend this house."

  • Beauty near Bar Harbor

"This place was a fantastic home base for everything we planned to do on MDI. A gorgeous fall setting, and a quick drive to Bar Harbor. Got quick (and delicious) breakfast sandwiches at the general store in Birch Bay just a few minutes down the road, and used the kitchen for most of the rest of the meals. A slightly odd layout to the kitchen, but it was easy to adapt to and chalked up to the quirkiness of an old house. We all loved the sun porch, even though it was the coldest spot in the house... it had the best views of the beautiful fall foliage, and nothing a hot cup of coffee and wooly pair of socks couldn't fix. A second bathroom (for five women!!!) would have been nice, but the bathroom upstairs was quite spacious and the room outside between the rooms was a great gathering space as we all primped in the mornings and lingered in the evenings. Roland was quick to respond and help when we locked ourselves out, except not really because they were hiding in my pocket the whole time 😬. We didn't get a chance to meet, but I look forward to going back to Bar Harbor someday and staying here again. Traveler tip: don't miss the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain! Wear every piece of clothing as it's incredibly cold even in October. It's an unforgettable experience, and close enough to this house you can bust up there a bit before, stake out a good spot, have your breath taken away, and be back in time to warm up with a cup of coffee before frostbite sets in 😉"
