  • Big Win in Bar Harbor

"8 Roberts Square is a lovely, charming home just a quick 5 minute walk from the center of Bar Harbor. The home has 3 good sized bedrooms (master with an attached study), big eat-in kitchen/dining room area, piano room with a glass table perfect for dominoes, puzzles or other family games, plus living room, with the laundry in basement. Known as Windhaven, the house was originally built for one of Bar Harbor's sea captains. We loved the close proximity to the Hannaford grocery store, as well as tons of great shops, restaurants and access to Bar Island at Bridge Street. We had lovely walks on the Shore Path, enjoyed the Improv, ate pizza while watching a movie comfortably ensconced on a sofa at Reel Pizza, and caught the free bus for great hikes and to go to Jordan Pond House for awesome popovers outside overlooking the Bubbles. House comes with parking, so you never have to circle Bar Harbor endlessly again! Everything was very clean and well maintained. Owner, Daniel, is extremely friendly, easy to work with and fun! Great place for a family vacation!"

  • We had a great time! The home was perfect!

"The home we stayed the week in offered everything we needed. It was better than advertised! The kayaks were a great bonus to be able to use! We love Mt Desert! This is our second vacation here! Acadia park has so much for everyone! We hiked, watched the sunset on Cadillac mountain and rode our motorcycles thru the park several times. We rode our motorcycles coastal scenic Hi way Rt 1 north to Lubec, Maine. We rode our motorcycles to Rangeley Mountain and enjoyed those views! Dining and shopping in Bar Harbor is always a treat! I'm sure we'll return in a few years and hopefully this home will be available!"

  • Great Location to Explore Acadia National Park

"We made a great choice in renting this home. The owners were flexible when we had a medical emergency that required a slight change in plans. Check in was incredibly easy; we felt as though we were visiting family friends when we arrived with the blueberry pie on the counter! The walkout basement was ideal with the bicycles, hiking and running equipment we brought to enjoy the outdoor environment of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We stayed active hiking the Gorham Mountain Trail, Champlain Mountain Trail, Beehive Trail, Pemetic Mountain Trail and enjoyed the carriage trails, Sands Beach and the town of Bar Harbor. The location of the house made everything easily accessible. Be mindful, however, that the home is located directly on Eden Street. The street is busy and noisy with traffic all day and evening. Also note that one bedroom in the home exits either through a shared bathroom or another bedroom. Additionally, the departure requirements required considerable time; as per the directions, we stripped every bed, washed sheets and towels, sorted recycling and organized trash."

  • Great Stay

"My wife and I had a great time in Bar Harbor. The apartment had everything we needed and wanted. It's centrally located to everything you could want to do. It was just up the street from the shore path , which has good views of not only the water and rocks, but also had chipmunks,a fox family and a deer and her fawn. I would highly recommend this to any one who loves to have a quiet ,fun filled time. John is a great host."
