  • Location, location, location

"My family of five spent a week at Acadia Escape, our first trip to the area, and we could not have been happier with the location. We found tons to do, all within walking distance: restaurants, shops, trails, boat trips, etc... The house is supplied with everything necessary and we found the street and neighborhood to be very quiet. Maryellen even greeted us upon our arrival and had some wonderful suggestions on some activities to check out. Overall, a great vacation, and the kids are already asking to go back!"

  • Great townhouse in bar harbor

"When we checked into the townhouse everything was clean and just as shown in pictures. It was great to be so close to downtown and Acadia national park . There are so many things to do in the area , we need to return to see them all. I would highly recommend this property."

  • Fabulous House!

"We loved this house, and would recommend it for so many reasons. My favorite spot was the deck off the kitchen. Wine in hand, we snacked and chatted there every night, watching the sun go down. It's the epitome of relaxation. We cooked for ourselves most nights, as our days were so full of hiking and sightseeing. The kitchen has everything you'd want. Five of us shared the house, but it's huge and never felt crowded. Lots of space downstairs for everyone to watch the game or whatever is on TV. We stayed for five nights - which was perfect. There are many things to do and see. The island is small, so it's a short drive to get anywhere, but we loved that the house felt remote. It's on the "quiet side" of the island. From the house, you can walk down to a little path that's part of the nature preserve, reaching the shore within 30 minutes at most. The shady trails looked like fairies could pop out at any moment. There are many other trails close by, and the beautiful Echo Lake is just minutes away. We enjoyed a lobster dinner at Beal's Lobster Pier in Southwest Harbor, but my favorite meal was lobster rolls at Thurston's Lobster Pound down in Bernard at the tip of the western part of the island. Don't hesitate. This is a terrific place to stay."

  • Love this House!

"My family and I just spent the perfect Fall weekend at this lovely Bar Harbor house. As soon as we arrived we could feel the thought, energy, and love put into restoring this charming home. From the books on the shelves to the soft towels in the bathrooms - everything was perfect. My wife loved the color palette the host used, "barely there" colors, great choices for a vacation house. Aside from the house, we loved staying right in Bar harbor. We felt connected to the community. Everything is a short walk away. And it was great coming "home" after our days spent exploring the town and Acadia. Before we left, we booked another week in July. Cant wait to return!"
