  • Spacious and charming..

"We just returned from a wonderful stay at Ledgelawn Cottage - Bar Harbor. Six of us were visiting the area for a wedding and LC was the perfect place. The house has everything you need and is full of historic charm. The best part is that it is close to downtown while still being in a quiet area! I would definitely recommend."

  • Wonderful !

"The Tree House is exactly as it looks in the photos: perched in the trees, secluded, yet close to All the treasures of Mt Desert Island. It was perfect for two of us and our dogs. We did not use the bungalow, but that makes it equally perfect for four people. The main cabin layout was delightful. You can have coffee on the deck in the morning overlooking the cove, or eat in the wonderful dining nook with a huge picture window that feels like you're truly in a Treehouse. The wood pellet stove is so easy to use and makes the living area really cozy. The kitchen appliances are all new and there is even an apartment size stacked washer and dryer. Scott and Susan were wonderful, there and helpful if you wanted them, but totally non intrusive. If you're there with dogs, Little Long Pond is a MUST. There's miles of carriage roads that connect to Acadia at the Jordan Pond House, but no bicycles are allowed on the Little Long Pond roads and dogs are allowed off leash! There are also miles of hiking trails. We went there everyday. It's a little hard to find the first time, but definitely worth locating it. The Traveling Lobster shack is only a couple miles from the cabin. We got steamed lobsters, mussels and corn and took them home to eat in the Treehouse. We looked everyday but didn't see any seals in the cove, but that would have been the icing on the cake. Our stay in the Treehouse was truly delightful, definitely recommend it."

  • Grand House and Great Location

"Our group of senior citizens rented this grand, spacious house for our thirtieth fall reunion. A fine example of the period, the house has been selectively updated with modern conveniences without diminishing its charm. We found it to be very clean and more than adequately furbished for our stay. Being only a short walk from Bar Harbor village and convenient to Arcadia National Park, we found it to be ideally located. Highly recommended."

  • Great Location to Explore Acadia National Park

"We made a great choice in renting this home. The owners were flexible when we had a medical emergency that required a slight change in plans. Check in was incredibly easy; we felt as though we were visiting family friends when we arrived with the blueberry pie on the counter! The walkout basement was ideal with the bicycles, hiking and running equipment we brought to enjoy the outdoor environment of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We stayed active hiking the Gorham Mountain Trail, Champlain Mountain Trail, Beehive Trail, Pemetic Mountain Trail and enjoyed the carriage trails, Sands Beach and the town of Bar Harbor. The location of the house made everything easily accessible. Be mindful, however, that the home is located directly on Eden Street. The street is busy and noisy with traffic all day and evening. Also note that one bedroom in the home exits either through a shared bathroom or another bedroom. Additionally, the departure requirements required considerable time; as per the directions, we stripped every bed, washed sheets and towels, sorted recycling and organized trash."
