  • Big Win in Bar Harbor

"8 Roberts Square is a lovely, charming home just a quick 5 minute walk from the center of Bar Harbor. The home has 3 good sized bedrooms (master with an attached study), big eat-in kitchen/dining room area, piano room with a glass table perfect for dominoes, puzzles or other family games, plus living room, with the laundry in basement. Known as Windhaven, the house was originally built for one of Bar Harbor's sea captains. We loved the close proximity to the Hannaford grocery store, as well as tons of great shops, restaurants and access to Bar Island at Bridge Street. We had lovely walks on the Shore Path, enjoyed the Improv, ate pizza while watching a movie comfortably ensconced on a sofa at Reel Pizza, and caught the free bus for great hikes and to go to Jordan Pond House for awesome popovers outside overlooking the Bubbles. House comes with parking, so you never have to circle Bar Harbor endlessly again! Everything was very clean and well maintained. Owner, Daniel, is extremely friendly, easy to work with and fun! Great place for a family vacation!"

  • Tranquility is a wonderful place to stay

"We rented both the Gate and Carriage house for a family vacation - couldn't have been a more perfect set-up! We were 5 couples - so having enough bedrooms with full-size or larger beds was great! Both houses are wonderfully furnished - especially loved the fresh flowers from the gardens. The Gate house was the main gathering place for our family- there was plenty of room for everyone and had a marvelous kitchen! The grounds are impeccable - we enjoyed all the amenities on the property - the fire pit, bocce ball, volleyball, and fishing from the dock! This was our first trip to Maine - very close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The free island shuttle even dropped us off right at the end of the street that the property is on! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to hold our annual family summer vacation - Look for our "Warden Maine Event" rock in the entry basket! Sally did a wonderful job coordinating the logistics and was super helpful and welcoming! I'd highly recommend considering Tranquility for your next stay in Bar Harbor"

  • Perfectly Perfect

"I write this while sitting by a campfire at the Cozy Country Cabin. This is the perfect vacation rental for a small family. It is centrally located to so many things. Minutes from Acadia National Park, fresh and salt water beaches, downtown Bsr Harbor and so much more. The cottage is located on a wooded property that gives you the feeling of being in a remote forest area. It is so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is just as the pictures show, and Steve and Rose couldn't be nicer. This has been a perfectly perfect vacation!"

  • Cozy condo in downtown Bar Harbor

"My husband and I spent a week here while visiting Acadia National Park and surrounding areas. What a great, cozy well equipped condo! We loved everything about it! It is within a block or two of all the restaurants and shops and the Village Green where you can hop on the free Island Explorer bus (in season) to get anywhere in the park and we did use it every day. You have a parking space which is important. There was a nice little private sitting area outside. We loved the electric fireplace and the memory foam bed. The condo is well stocked with everything you need, even some extras like a few coffees for the Keurig. The owners are fantastic - very responsive - and we really appreciated that they sent us an Acadia book ahead of time since it was our first time, and also some blueberry jam was waiting for us upon arrival. Those extra touches are great!! We highly recommend this rental and owners - We understand they also own #449096 on Mount Desert Island so check it out too!"
