  • Perfect stay in Bar Harbor!

"The Bird's Nest Cottage was perfect for my family of 4 and my in laws for a visit to Bar Harbor. The upstairs accommodated my husband and me, plus our two children (age 9 and 11) , and my parents-in-law were very comfortable in the bedroom on the first floor. The washing machine and dryer were new and very convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed (although we ate out almost every evening!). The cottage is ideally situated on a small quiet lane, yet only about 4-5 houses away from downtown Bar Harbor AND is also on the property of Shore Path Cottage, a B&B with an expansive lawn that leads down to the ocean and Shore Path. Acadia is less than a 10 minute drive away, or easily accessible by the bus system (and the closest bus stop is a 5 minute walk away). It does NOT get any better and we would definitely rent this cottage again in a heartbeat!"

  • Refreshing week on the Maine Coast

"Three well-maintained, cozy, charming cottages at the end of a quiet dirt road offer a spectacular view over Frenchman's Bay, access to the beach, and a great jumping-off point for day-trips to Acadia National Park or around Mount Desert Isle. After adventures, this is a great place to return to for an evening on the deck or at the fire pit. We grilled, cooked lobster in the well-provided kitchen, took long walks along the shore, and enjoyed the autumnal smell of the piney woods. Local sites and restaurants were within easy striking distance. Pet-friendly. Owners are very responsive and friendly. We will be back next year!"

  • Thankful Cottage - a wonderful retreat

"Sherry and Ivan Rasmussen have restored this historic home into a delightful refuge. My sister and I agreed we had stepped into our own little home. Set back from West Street along the bustling harbor, Thankful Cottage is in a great location, giving guests access to everything Bar Harbor has to offer: You are in the midst of Acadia National Park -- able to enjoy the beauty of the water and the land. We strongly recommend this as the perfect get away. We enjoyed walking around town, listening to the town band, eating fresh lobster, whale watching and sea kayaking. Sherry and Ivan provided plenty of information for us to experience Bar Harbor to the fullest, and they go out of the way to address every question or concern you may have. Though my sister and I traveled to Bar Harbor to visit family and spend time outside hiking and exploring the harbor, we are also avid fans of the Olympics. One of my former students was competing in Rio and Sherry made sure that the cable TV in the cottage was in tip top working order. We are most thankful for a wonderful week and have already signed-up to return next summer."

  • Home sweet home

"My family and I stayed at this home for one week in mid may. We had everything that we needed and more for a comfortable and fun visit. The house was fully equipped for both indoor and outdoor activity and was set in a pretty quiet, and convenient location. Janice, our hostess was extremely helpful and friendly. We would rent this property again when visiting Bar Harbor."
