  • Fabulous stay at Dee Dee's Apt. B!

"My three friends and I chose Dee Dee's Apt. B for our mini-reunion "home base" and found it absolutely perfect in every way. We had plenty of sleeping spaces, appreciated the two bathrooms and laundry, and loved hanging-out in the living room and kitchen/eating area. Everything was spotless, well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to cook a few meals and the ease and convenience of being able to walk to town. Dee Dee was a fabulous resource for restaurants, the grocery store and post office, the wonderful Fourth of July celebration events and all things "Acadia." We loved the fresh bread she made for us and the way that she made us "feel like family." We'd love to come back again and enjoy this wonderful place!"

  • Impeccable Acadia experience

"Our 7-person stay at Folkestone Cottage was everything we could have hoped for. Folkestone is a very private house located quite close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The warm, modern, open house itself has a spacious downstairs and comfortable bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen was great for all kinds of group cooking. Plenty of room. Multiple cars? A two-car garage. The master bedroom downstairs was a delightful place to sleep. Being away from major roads made this a quiet retreat from daytime activity during tourist season. The wifi handled all our seven devices throughout the day as our reunion group shared photos and videos and missives back home. Just sitting on the deck and enjoying chat accompanied by the wind in the trees made us all feel at home. Folkestone Cottage was perfect for our needs. Thank you to the hosts who were also very accommodating after our visit in helping us reclaim property left behind."

  • Great little Cottage

"My 2 little Yorkshire terriers and I stayed here for a week....we just got home yesterday. I have no complaints. The house was built in the 40's and has retained a lot of the charm of a cottage from that era. It is clean and comfortable and is walking distance to town by only a few blocks. Several great restaurants are within that walk to town too. Acadia National Park is less than a 10 minute drive. The free shuttles weren't running yet for the most part during my stay....they start on the 23rd of June. But once they are there's no need to even take your car out of the drive-way. My week's vacation consisted of hiking the many trails and summiting a few of the mountains of Acadia and biking the Carriage Roads. I will be making this an annual visit and will look forward to booking this house again next year.....if not sooner."

  • Wonderful apartment, perfect location

"Last week we spent five wonderful days in Bar Harbor/Arcadia National Park experiencing beautiful fall foliage and the tastes and sights of the area. A major contributing factor to our enjoyment was our stay at the Wayfaring Mermaid Suite. I received a quick response from Monique and the booking was seamless. The property was spotless, big full sized appliances with a comfortable bed and thick towels. For us the location was perfect very close to the park entrance and a short drive to town. We have rented many apartments and this is by far one of our favorites. I highly recommend this place and want to thank Joe and Monique for their hospitality."
