  • A Hidden Gem

"We stayed at this property in October, 2016. The location is spectacular -- very private, quiet, located on the water with a large field leading from the house to the water. We brought our dog with us and he absolutely loved romping around in the field. The owners even took care to have the field sprayed with a natural solution of cedar oil to help keep the ticks at bay. Much appreciated! The house is lovely and the views nothing short of stunning. Best of all are the beds!!! So many places we stay the house is great and the beds are horrible. They have seriously comfortable adult beds and it made a huge difference to our stay. The property manager, Michael, was a dream. He was so helpful and he reached out to us mid-vacation to see if we needed anything. His advice on dog-friendly hikes was perfect. All in all, this is a great place to stay and is very well located. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Location can't be beat!

"If you are looking for a secluded, private place, yet within minutes of other attractions this is the place for you. This clean, rustic cabin is located on the end of a point, surrounded by a peaceful cove. It has a deck with comfortable wood adirondack chairs from which you can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the tide come in and out, the sailboats, the cormorants, the seagulls and occasionally the seals! There is a rocky, mossy area that can be explored when the tide is out. We rented a kayak from Tidal Transit in Boothbay Harbor and were able to enjoy taking it out from the dock right at the cabin. If you rent for at least three days, they will deliver and pick up the kayak with all equipment. If you enjoy walking, there are trails to be explored within walking distance of the cabin. Boothbay Harbor is only about a ten minute drive and affords shopping, great ice cream and great performances at the Boothbay Opera House. For an inexpensive lobster experience, Hannaford's will steam lobsters for you and you can take them back to the cabin and enjoy at the picnic table on the deck at the cabin. The cabin is rustic and in a beautiful natural environment and sometimes nature makes it way inside, so don't expect a sterile environment. The cabin is kept clean and well stocked. If you are looking for a Maine get away at a true cabin in an unbeatable location, you can't go wrong here."

  • Another great week in Maine

"This property is as lovely as it appears in the photos: comfortable, spacious, and relaxing. You get the impression you are staying at lovely family home on a quiet country road, minimal traffic and with wonderful views of the Back River seen from the living room, back enclosed deck, kitchen and dining room and back lawn. In working with the owner, Art, you feel as if you are conversing with a good friend. The property allows for launch of kayaks and canoes easily with the tides and the area has many islands and inlets to explore. The home's central location is great for easy day excursions to neighboring areas from Bath to Wiscasset to Boothbay and includes many local attractions and options for dining and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and accommodations. Wonderful!"

"We loved this place! It had everything our dogs and we needed to enjoy the beautiful Booth Bay Area. Jamie was a wonderful host, and was always easy-to-reach. We will be back to stay at his lovely cabin!"
