  • A Special Spot in Every Way

"This is a special property in so many respects. Wonderfully designed for a group of 10 like ours with rooms nicely spread out so that early risers don't bother late sleepers, a comfortable living area with all the amenities (Wi-Fi, cable), spectacular water views from every room, and a huge outdoor deck area with picnic tables for meals. More to the point, the house is basically in the harbor, jutting out into all the boating, kayaking, and fishing action; it's called the Dock for a reason. I've never stayed in a property like it. The Dock well located, within walking distance of town, with plenty of shopping nearby and lots of places of interest within easy driving distance. Mike, the property manager, is terrific and always available to answer questions or help out. And he's a whiz a finding and delivering the best lobsters around. This was our second year at the Dock. We'll be back."

  • Quaint Boothbay Harbor

"We have been renting this house for 2 weeks for the past 5 years. We find it very comfortable, homey, full of charm, very well appointed and equipped with everything needed for a stay there. We especially love the front porch, which is the perfect place to sit and enjoy morning coffee. It is within walking distant to restaurants, boat tours, shops, and entertainment. . It is ideally located for day trips and sightseeing. The house is on a dead end street so there is no noise from traffic and the neighborhood is very quite. The owners are easy to communicate with and address any issues or questions very promptly"

  • Exceptional view, comfortable accommodations, well-equipped

"We just concluded our second annual week's vacation at East Watch. Everything about this house has fitted our family's wants and needs beautifully. The water views from the living room, bedrooms, and deck is expansive; more than 10 miles on a clear day. If you are an early riser like some in our family, the sunrise over the water is always worth being up for. When there is a nor'easter with rainy, chilly weather, the large fireplace in the living room even has an alcove where dry wood is stored. The kitchen features everything from lobster pots and coffee bean grinder to a food processor that makes it easy to make the cobbler dough for blueberry cobbler. This year we were able to sit out on the deck one night with no moon and the Milky Way glowing in its glory. Even saw a meteorite streak across the sky! There is a ramp from the grass to the front door entrance and the bathroom with the master bedroom has grab bars by the toilet and in the small shower stall. We highly recommend this house for a family or couples vacation!"

  • Great House and Property in a wonderful setting!

"Our second vacation in your lovely Maine home was even better than the one last year -- except that we should have stayed longer! There are so many things to do nearby that it was hard to fit them all into two weeks. We also enjoy just relaxing on the large deck, gazing out at the water and the birds or watching the full moon rise over the river. Having the Botanical Gardens within a mile is great - we enjoy the gardens as well as the kayak trips that are run from their location. Porters Preserve, Gregory Preserve and Oven Mouth are our favorite hiking areas nearby. My husband loves bicycling down River Road and over to Southport and we both like to drive down to enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking Townsend Gut at Robinson's Wharf. We entertained friends at your house this summer - both for a barbeque and a lobster dinner. Purchased the lobsters at nearby Trevett Store. Your kitchen is so well equipped, entertaining was a pleasure. We also enjoy the huge and interesting selection of books that fill your house. We are looking forward to another, longer, stay next summer."
