  • Amazing stay!

"Deb and Phil were great! They told us the places to go and what to see. We went down to The Happy Clam for drinks and the bartender told us where to find the freshest lobster! Drift Inn Beach was wonderful and dog friendly. We drove over to Marshall Point and went into Port Clyde, very cute area and amazing place to watch the sunset. We had a great time and will definitely be back!"

  • A Painterly Scene From Andrew Wyeth

"We rented the first week in September which gave us cooler temperatures and less tourist congested towns along Maine's mid-coast shorelines. The house is situated right on the water with spectacular views everywhere you look in a very private and secluded area. The only sounds one hears first thing in the morning are the commercial lobster boats heading out at first light and the local birds that inhabit the fields and forests. For art lovers there is the Olsen House Museum made famous by it's depiction in Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World only a few miles north of the rental house. The house owners are particularly attentive to guests and make sure everything is just right. The owner even had the piano tuned before our stay as my wife had inquired about wanting to play it. Now that's attention to detail. Lot's of interesting rooms in the house full of many generations collections over the years. The kitchen is well stocked with everything guests might need. Guests are greeted by a property manager who provides a tour of the property and all it's idiosyncrasies to ensure a safe and pleasant stay. Due to the vintage of the house the staircases are steeper than is typical and one needs to be mindful of that when using them. The rooms are plentiful and the furniture comfortable affording a relaxing and picturesque stay on one of Maine's most beautiful coastlines."

  • Pond House a perfect vacation home for us!

"Pond House turned out to be the perfect spot for our extended family. With 2 teenaged boys and 1 preteen boy, the roominess of the house was especially appreciated. We took the owner's suggestion of moving a second drop-leaf table into the kitchen/dining area so we had a roomy spot for all of our meals and for board games, card games and joint crossword puzzles. The front porch rockers were enjoyed daily for reading and watching the birds and the lovely pond across the road and the hammock was a wonderful spot for an afternoon snooze. We, of course, took the trek down to the water for some high tide swimming and kayaking and we took a number of hikes along Davis Point Rd and Stones Point Rd. We also spent a day in Belfast and Camden and another day in Acadia and enjoyed seafood many times - however the lobsters we cooked our selves were the best treat of all. The house was very clean and well maintained and the owner most helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone who would enjoy the serenity and beauty of a summer house in a pastoral setting."

  • 7 more 5-star reviews in the Manager section

"This property received 7 reviews while being managed by the prior property manager, all of them 5-star. VRBO rules require "starting with a clean slate" when the property manager is replaced, so they are not visible in this section. Please see the "Manager" section of this listing, and there you will find the original 7 5-star reviews reproduced word-for-word."
