  • Waterfront on Penobscot Bay amidst the pines and fall leaves.

"We were just a senior couple and this home was suited for many more visitors. The location is private and setting on the waterfront was lovely. Weather permitted us to enjoy watching activities on the Bay while enjoying coffee outside and meals inside the enclosed dining area. All the features of the home operated well, we found it very clean and comfortable. We were able to spend lots of time exploring the local area in Camden, Rocklin, Rockport and other nearby inland places. We had a very nice, satisfying stay here and would return."

  • Wonderful old Maine house with lots of room off the main highway but not on the water.

"Best part of this rental is the access to dock where we could keep our kayaks and access the water. Grandkids loved biking around the neighborhood, picking raspberries, and using the tennis court. Very friendly neighborhood with nice walks through the woods. Too bad that Homeaway/VRBO adds a 10% service fee AND home protection insurance fee to the cost."

  • Beautiful Reunion in Maine

"My family and I stayed here for a week this August. It was our first time to Maine and this house didn't disappoint. The inside is beautiful and covered in books, the back deck is perfect for watching the tide come in and out and the front is great to get shade for the summer sun. The house came with everything you could need, appliance wise (sans toaster which was just fine). We had 8 adults staying overnight and had room for extra bodies if needed. The location is great, super close to Rockland AND Port Clyde. We never ran out of activities. The kayaks that are at the house are a must do! Peter was always available to answer questions and give suggestions, he was EXTREMELY helpful. I would return in a heartbeat!"

  • a very special place

"I rented the cottage by myself for a short artist retreat. I had plans of drawing and making art for 4 days. But I ended up sitting on the porch watching the tide roll in and out, observing the antics of the many birds on the inlet, sitting in front of a fire while drinking wine and eating lobster stew and looking at the stars at night. It is the perfect place to basically do nothing. The house got me to slow down and chill out with its charm. It is a truly comfortable, peaceful, relaxing and a little bit of magical place. Fiona and her husband were attentive and their suggestions were spot on. As a city person I did have to take one break from the relaxation (ha!) and do a day of touring so I took a boat ride over to Monhegan Island suggested by Fiona. It was wonderful. I'll need to spend more time there on my next trip. All in all I can't recommend this place enough although I don't want it to become too popular so I can book it again next year. Thank you!"
