  • Amazing, Amazing, Amazing

"This was our first year at Sylph Lodge and we are booked again for next year! From the time we first spoke with Andy until the day we left, he and Christopher were so responsive and welcoming! There was enough room for five adults, two children and two dogs without ever feeling that we were on top of each other. The outdoor space is spacious and very comfortable and that VIEW! No words could adequately describe this place and experience. We cannot wait to return next year!"

  • Fantastic!

"We had another wonderful October weekend with our dachshund friends in Naples/Bridgton, and the Rhoads' cottage was a great home base as always! Clean and well stocked with all necessities and friendly and accommodating landlord! Hope to keep going each year!"

  • Beautiful, private place!

"We stayed in mid June of 2016 and what a wonderful week it was! Things we LOVED The privacy, you can't see another house from any angle of the home/yard. The lot is steep, but beautifully wooded. The house it set well off the road. The dock was thoughtfully done, the area down by the water is wide enough to accommodate several chairs, and in our case a couple of sleeping dogs. The floating raft 15 feet out is a wonderful addition. The decks! This home actually has three, one level with the top floor of the house with a nice hot tub, large outdoor table, a grill, and a smoker! The lower one is set up so you can walk right out of the basement. The third is set down by the water with a fire pit. The setup of the home. Two of the three bedrooms have TVs, and the living room has a comfy couch and a recliner, also with a TV. The basement has an awesome bar set up, a couple of great recliners and another TV. It was great for us as we had two couples who couldn't agree on what to watch on a rainy night. They provided two Kayaks and a canoe. Hang a right off the dock and go to what looks like the end of the lake there is an amazing swampy/boggy area that is awesome to explore! Especially if you are a bird watcher. The loons have no fear of people and when you stop paddling and just float quietly they come surprisingly close. We also saw red wing blackbirds, painted turtles, snapping turtles, and ducks we couldn't identify. It really is a home. The kitchen has what you need. There are a few baskets of books, board games and a PS3 in the children's (bunk bed) room. Rich, the owner, is a nice guy. Excellent communication and helpful! The best part of this home, it's pet friendly. It's very easy to gate off the upper area of the porch so they can hang out with you. The hardwood flooring makes it easy to sweep up pet hair before you head home. Things to keep in mind if you rent this property. There are lots of stairs! Might not be the best choice for grandma and grandpa. This is a log home, anyone who has experience with them knows that they "settle" with time. A few of the interior doors don't stay shut very well. The driveway is STEEP. They aren't kidding about that. Unless you are jumping off the dock there isn't an easy way into the water and if you are a big baby like me you will need water shoes, the ground is mucky. In the owner's defense they may groom it more later in the season. Overall we LOVED this cabin and would be happy to return!"

  • Perfect!

"19 family members ranging in age from 8 to 80 stayed in the Kezar Lake Lodge for 1 week and it was awesome. The kitchen had more than you could hope for in terms of cooking and prepping areas and more dishes and glasses than you could ever use! The griddle was well used along with the ping pong table. The sleeping arrangements worked great for a crowd consisting of multiple families and it was a bonus to have your own bathroom in each. The common sitting areas were comfortable and roomy and the waterfront area was fabulous! Access to a personal dock was very convenient and having North Conway right around the corner was a perfect solution to the one rainy morning we experienced. The owner was responsive and pleasant. I would highly recommend this house."
