  • Great kayaking near St. Michaels

"We booked this house for a 3-day weekend to experience the natural beauty of the Chesapeake Bay's inlets and rivers, but also revisit some favorite local towns. Even though it's called Edge Creek, it's really part of the larger river and inlets around St. Michaels. The new dock was great for using the owner-supplied kayaks to paddle up and down to see the larger water and other houses, or if you turned left, it went to a more secluded grass marsh which had some great bird-watching. The House is very modern and well-appointed - the decor and the outside patio give it a great Eastern Shore feel. Everything looks new within the last few years. Nice Great room and open kitchen/dining for larger groups. The Master bed/bath suite was perfect for our getaway. Although we didn't use them, the arrangement of the other suites would be good for at least 3 couples. Just what a VRBO house should be -- turnkey with no hassles. The owners were very responsive. It was a 10 minute drive into St. Michaels and Easton for some good winter shopping and history. We had been to St. Michaels before, but we were surprised by the variety in Easton. We enjoyed the nice restaurant up the street in Royal Oak for dinner one night (it's called "T at the General Store" ?? but that's part of the local charm). There is plenty of privacy and the "neighborhood" of other waterfront houses with their docks and boats is kind of fun. We didn't take the ferry over to the quaint town of Oxford this time, but this is a great location for it. 5 stars!"

  • Awesome Spot for Ironman Maryland

"This St. Michaels house is where you need to stay for your next Eastern Shore vacation. We stayed with a group of teammates for Ironman Maryland and would definitely stay again for either IM Maryland or Eagleman 70.3. About 30 minutes from the course, the house provided a quiet place to rest and relax before and after the race. The downstairs kitchen and dining room tables provided enough room for our party of 10 to share pre-race meals and post-race celebrations. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook a great pre-race meal and the rooms upstairs provided the perfect spot to rest. The property manager Kate was easy to work with, met us at the house and even arranged for a few last-minute packages to be delivered (thanks Kate!). Stop looking. You've found your next house - you won't be disappointed staying here. We're already trying to figure out how we can come back!"

  • Wonderful Experience

"My friends and I rented Cherry Point for a birthday celebration. We were a group 20+ folks ranging from mid-20s to early-30s. Swimming in both the pool and the Choptank were wonderful. The house was clean and spacious with a ton of character. The large property gives a sense of privacy. I am actively looking for an excuse to rent the place again. If you find yourself at Cherry Point make you sure you get up early enough to have coffee on the dock around day break. Finally, the agent and the housekeeper were both very easy to work with and pleasant."

  • Perfect get-away

"The house is cozy but oh-so comfortable; the pics do not do it justice. Dawn is super accommodating and easy to work with. Back patio so picturesque and dock just steps away. We did struggle with our speed boat during low tide in the cove. And it could be the (late August) month, but the water was not swimmable in the cove (have to boat further out to the pristine river). But the protected river area was so calm for amazing tubing & waterski-ing! We also loved the pool; and visiting small nearby towns Stevensville and Centreville. Overall, we had a blast mixed with relaxation on the Wye River Cove."
