  • Quiet Retreat

"This was our second stay at Baer Necessities and we were so pleased again with the house and lovely grounds. It is close to the center of town where you can find great meals at Bistro Poplar, The High Spot, and Portside to name a few, or travel to Black Water to bike or kayak or just walk the nature path. If you want to relax and take in all the wonderful nature the area has to offer, this is the rental for you. We watched osprey, eagles, ducks, geese, deer, and even owls all from the back yard. The dock is great for fishing and crabbing and even putting in a kayak to explore. The kitchen was recently remodeled, looks great and offers all the amenities you could want or need. We will be back and definitely recommend staying here!!"

  • Perfect accommodations for our family

"This beautiful 1910 home was perfect for our family to stay in while we joined together for our daughters wedding. The home was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. There were 10 of us and the home had plenty of room for all of us. Cambridge is an adorable town and the location is perfectly located and only a short walk to downtown. The charm of this home caused us to not want to leave."

  • Great location for a big, family birthday celebration

"We gathered in June 2016 from all over -- CT, NJ, DC and PA at this wonderful estate -- to celebrate a milestone birthday. Everyone was comfortable in their rooms and the house has a warm/loving, family vibe. The second floor porch was perfect for the one night when we had a chance to watch a storm roll in. The property was perfect for everyone's diverse interests -- running/ walking, fishing, boating, and swimming in the pool. We rented the Dann's skiff and their two kayaks which were really fun (worth the extra, nominal cost). The kitchen is not huge, but somehow we all made it work and enjoyed cooking together. We would definitely rent this property again; our ages ranged from 55 to 9 and all said they'd like to return. The caretaker on the property was helpful and available any time we had questions. Truly a fabulous location, gorgeous water views, relaxing and just what we all were hoping for. Lastly, we brought our 36' power boat over from Annapolis and easily got in and out of of the deep water dock."

  • Summer/Fall 2016 Review

"Great property for a relaxed getaway; particularly good with kids. Pool and property are lovely, enjoyed biking and walking the farm's many miles of waterfront & farmland. Easy access to some of the more popular areas, yet off the beaten path for a peaceful retreat. Loved the screened in porches! We've been twice and wouldn't hesitate to go again! Very welcome family is onsite, but unobtrusive."
