  • Perfect get-away

"The house is cozy but oh-so comfortable; the pics do not do it justice. Dawn is super accommodating and easy to work with. Back patio so picturesque and dock just steps away. We did struggle with our speed boat during low tide in the cove. And it could be the (late August) month, but the water was not swimmable in the cove (have to boat further out to the pristine river). But the protected river area was so calm for amazing tubing & waterski-ing! We also loved the pool; and visiting small nearby towns Stevensville and Centreville. Overall, we had a blast mixed with relaxation on the Wye River Cove."

  • Great Getaway

"This well-maintained home was the perfect place for our family gathering. It provided all the ingredients for a relaxing time together: a pleasant setting surrounded by water on two sides, a screened-in porch, pool, hot tub, dock over the water, and comfy couches in the living room. The house had both communal areas where we gathered for good food and conversation as well as ample space for solitude and quiet reflection. We particularly enjoyed watching the sunset from the dock. The quiet, peaceful setting on the water was a wonderful way to end the day. While we were a group of senior citizens, I would not hesitate to return with my children and grandchildren because the house has so much for young people to enjoy, e.g. ping pong table, foosball table, backyard pool, DVD's, board games, and plenty of green lawns for running, cartwheeling, and playing. Less than 24 hours after our arrival, we were already saying, "The next time we come we should...." Baer Necessities definitely surpassed our expectations."

  • A beautiful property providing a very special place to unwind

"This was an amazing place to spend time with family (including young grandchildren) and friends. There was plenty of room for everyone and enough space for people to spread out. The website was a bit unclear about the extra sofa space but it all worked out very well. We were there for a wedding but would love to return some time to just relax and enjoy the porch, the view of the cove, the pool, the hottub. The house is very clean and the furniture all lovely and in very good condition. The beds were all very comfortable except the trundle bed upstairs (a bit squeaky and thin) . The kitchen (S!) were fantastic with lots of space to dine with our large group. Very nice set up for 2 families affording some privacy. My grandson says he loves Grandma's house in Maryland and can't wait to go back. (if only!!!). We spent hours at the drawbridge and took an amazing sail on the bay on a lovely historic sailboat. The owners clearly care about this property and the attention to detail was impressive. If I ever have a reason to return to the area I would surely want to stay on this property."

  • Fabulous hidden gem

"This was extraordinary. The cottage is spacious, clean and well appointed. The back yard is large and well kept. There is a dock. Oxford has several nice restaurants and those with outside seating are dog friendly. We had not spent any time on the Eastern Shore before and loved it. We will definitely be back."
