"We enjoyed our stay. The house was well layed out and provisioned. I wish there was better internet but I understand the dificulties that far out."

  • Outstanding house, large enough that my family had plenty of room and lots of extras.

"Well maintained home with everything that you would need on vacation. Beach just out the rear door. The curb appeal, like the real estate people claim is needed just was lacking. But you get both of the two different worlds, the beach and the woods, depending what door you go out. Should suite everyone. The owners also provide a lot of things that a person might forget to take along on vacation, like body soap, shampo, things in the kitchen and etc. I know for a fact, my family told me that this was the best vacation rental that we ever had and we do normally go to different one each year. It rained two of the days, but there was still plenty of things to do and places to go. Just have to look around."

  • Chesabelle

"Aside from the well pump going mid-week, we had a wonderful stay. We were able to call property maintenance, and they came out immediately. You can't predict these things! We stopped down at the beach our first day there only to find that jellyfish had infested our beach. This is fairly common during the warmer summer months on the Chesapeake. Luckily, we had the currents on our side. By Tuesday, the jellyfish had moved elsewhere. We never saw any more the rest of the week. The water was good and warm. The kayaks were a nice bonus! We also managed to stop down to Point Lookout State Park during the week; the beach there is amazing! A must see. The house itself was great; it comes stocked with all the essentials. However, if you wish to watch movies, be sure to bring down your own DVD player. I was pleasantly surprised at how few bugs we encountered around the house too, considering how close we were to the lagoon across the street. The big yard was great for outdoor activities. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves. We typically stay in Calvert County or venture further south to Virginia, but you won't be disappointed staying in St. Mary's County. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. Be prepared to travel for groceries! And definitely make your way down to the beach at night, the stars are incredible!"

  • Kentigern is heaven.

"Kentigern is a wonderful home. And I say home not house. As soon as you enter you just feel so comfortable. Everything you need is there. There were 8 of us. All adults. The place is big enough that everyone could have their own space if needed. Unfortunately we had much rain and wind, but we made the most of it by doing a puzzle, listening to music and cooking, eating and making cocktails. We did get a few walks on the beach in between the rain drops .Our last full day there was spent finally kayaking and BBQ ing.Our group has been coming to Peggy s from a few years now and we are never disappointed. I only wish we lived a little closer. 5 hrs drive from NJ. We would definitely come more often."
