  • Well Beyond Expectations!

"This house was perfect for our family vacation. Up on arrival, Michael has left our family a welcome basket which included tons of information for our trip. Everything in this house is well designed from the sunroom with skylights to the expansive outdoor entertaining area. The floorplan is wide open which is a rarity for Cape Cod homes and we never once felt crowded in this house. The outdoor kitchen was a wonderful plus with a HUGE built in grill to accommodate even the largest family meals. The outdoor play set was well built, safe, and very popular with my 3 year old son. He loved the slide and the swings. Back inside the kitchen was well appointed with a lot of room for storage, preparation and serving. A large dining room table accommodates many people as does the very large sectional sofa in the living room. Whether questions about the property or the area, Michael was very responsive and attended to all of our needs. I am not one to go to the same place twice, but this may be the first time I do, as our family is already thinking about a repeat trip next year. The area is very relaxing and not as crowded as some other spots on the Cape and yet there is still plenty to do in a very small radius. We couldn't have asked for more and had a fabulous time. We will be back!"

  • Tranquil; Like living in a Treehouse.

"We love it on Bakers Pond. The views and the sunsets are stunning over the pond. It was clean. There was everything we needed."

  • Best rental in our fifty-five summers on Cape Cod

"Beautiful, roomy, comfortable. Kitchen, laundry room and everything else very well supplied. Right on the water, superior views, water temp high 70's, swimming and boating dock, six minute walk to grocery store, pizza parlor, ice cream store. We are very picky: this is THE best summer rental we have ever had, and we have been renting Cape houses since the Sixties. Gracious and accommodating landlord."

  • Lovely vacation home on a beautiful property

"The property is in East Orleans, right on the road to Nauset Beach. A 3-minute drive from the center of Orleans, the property is convenient to shopping and all 3 beaches (Nauset, Skaket, and the beach at Pilgrim Lake which is ideal for younger children). Picturesque Rock Harbor (home of the fishing fleet) is a brief 5-minute drive away. My wife and I (and our kids) spent parts of more than 20 summers in this section of Orleans, our favorite town on the Cape. The tall hedge on the Beach Road side of the property provided excellent sound insulation from the traffic.. The comfortably furnished 3-BR 2-Bath 1-story home is situated on a spacious tree-filled lot. The property was clean and well-maintained. The home has Central heating and AC, and is generally well-equipped and appointed. The house has a new Washer and Dryer. There is a new Flat-panel 39" TV in the Living room and an older 27" TV in the master suite. The King bed in the master BR suite was comfortable (the only one we slept on); our adult kids said the queen bed was OK. The outdoor shower would be popular with younger children. We spent a good part of our time on the lovely outside deck, and prepared meals (swordfish on the barbie) on the modern outdoor Weber grill most nights when we ate at home. Dealing with the owner (Lauren Cragen) was a pleasure; her flexibility in making arrangements was much appreciated. When we come back to the Cape (hopefully, in the next year or two), the availability of 43 Beach Road will be one of our first considerations. Only two suggested changes: 1. Include the option of a full linen package (sheets, pillow cases, towels, etc) as part of the basic rental. (If clients want to supply their own, provide a deduction from this price). We would really have appreciated not having to deal with procuring our own linens (that was a hassle). 2. Put a small sign by the break in the hedge (#43) indicating the entrance to the property from Beach Road."
