  • Love, Love, Love it!!!

"Our family(17) has stayed at both Stepping Stones and Pebbles for the past two years. Everyone and we mean everyone absolutely adores this place. It has been our most favorite vacation spot ever. Stepping Stones is beautiful, convenient, and comfortable. Marylynn, the owner, could not be more accommodating. The Kelleys"

  • Amazing lake home in a special nook of the Cape!

"My husband, dog, and I have stayed in this home for a week every summer for the last 3 years. I grew up on Cape Cod and wanted a place to stay while visiting my family and enjoying a vacation. Before I even get to the house, I can tell you as a (former) local, this location is a hidden gem. Centerville is central to most anywhere you would like to get on the greater Cape, including to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard ferries, as well as to the Hyannis airport (hello direct to NYC Jet Blue flights!). The house comes with a coveted beach pass and is a 5 minute drive from my very favorite secret, pass-requiring beach on Cape Cod, so you have the best of both worlds: a house directly on the lake, plus bike or drive-able beach access. This is a boon for people with dogs or children, or who just want a more quiet, less sandy experience than a beach home can provide. On to the house: the owners do everything to make you feel at home and enjoy your stay. The house is clean with plenty of bathroom and beach towels, sheets, tables, chairs, dishes and silverware. There are 4 bedrooms varying in size and the master bedroom has lovely lake views from bed. The porch is jaw-dropping gorgeous. The photos here do not lie. The sun sets over the lake, making for some magnificent nights, and the porch is huge, directly over the lake and with ample seating. The lake water is lovely for swimming, paddle boarding, or kayaking (some of this will require a rental on your part, not hard to come by on the cape). Because the house is located in a protected cove, not only is this area of the lake quieter than others, you are spared motor boats and jet skis blazing by at high speed. The house itself has plenty of room for one family or two small families to enjoy between the outdoor space, large living/dinning room, separate eat-in kitchen, and separate sunken TV room. There is also a huge outside shower, in addition to the 1.5 bathrooms within the house. I cannot say enough nice things about this house and the owners and we hope to come back for many years to come."

  • Perfect Everything!

"I originally chose this cottage as a girls' getaway weekend thank you gift to my mom for helping me plan my July'16 wedding. It was the perfect size for the two of us and great location. Eva (the owner) had emailed us a long list of activity suggestions before we arrived to kind of give us the lay of the land since neither of us had been to Cape Cod prior. Once we arrived we were blown away by how quaint the outside of the cottage was but even more pleasantly surprised once we entered. The layout was perfect and decor looked Home & Garden magazine-worthy. The location was perfect - a 3 minute walk to whale watching (which we highly recommend - we saw 13 whales extremely close to our boat), the beach only a short walk away and Hyannis, not even a 5 minute car ride away. It truly was the perfect weekend and this cottage felt like home at the end of our 2.5 day stay. We actually looked forward to going back and relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine. Eva was a delight to work with and secure our reservation and if we decide to go back to the Cape (which we are already talking about doing), we would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Eva!"

  • Wonderful Quiet Family Getaway

"Fairwinds is a perfect spot for a family with young kids seeking a quieter time on the Cape (which is exactly what we wanted). The view is spectacular - my son loved watching the boats in the harbor from the living room window (and we loved watching the sunsets after he had gone to bed!) We loved being able to walk right down to the beach to see crabs, build sandcastles, and swim. The house itself is lovely without being too fancy for messy toddlers, and has every convenience imaginable. The new owners were great to work with - their communications before our stay were clear and they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We hope to go back again!"
