  • A great place for large families

"We spent a lovely week with my family to celebrate my 70th birthday! We were six adults and 3 children. The house has central air conditioning which we very much appreciated as the week was hot. The large kitchen was a central gathering place along with the outdoor patio. The guest house is very comfortable and the outdoor shower was an added benefit. The tennis court is in nice shape and there is a basketball hoop and ball as well. The shed is stocked full of beach toys, chairs, umbrella, tennis rackets and balls. Crystal Lake is a short walk from the house and was a nice place to cool off and play in the water or use their paddle board. The house and yard are beautifully maintained and the neighborhood is quiet. The house is centrally located with short drives to all beaches. We biked on the Cape Cod Rail Trail which is very nice and well maintained. The owner was very quick to respond to my questions about the property. There is a property manager available, if needed. I would recommend this property for families or groups who enjoy activities or to just relax and enjoy the good life."

  • Back home

"We used this house for a reunion with family near where we used to live in Orleans. It is a very comfortable house! We particularly enjoyed the screen room - ate most of our dinners out there, comfortably with 7 people, easily fitting more guests for dinner some evenings, and entertained old friends for afternoon visits. The kitchen is pretty well set up for cooking, utensil-wise, and is a good space for more than one person working. The center island was a good place for people to sit and enjoy hors-douvres while meals were prepared and the open living/dining/kitchen area was also a great space for all of us to be without feeling cramped. The walk to the bay is pleasant and easy. The peaceful location of this house and setting on the lot gives a very secluded feel, but is only about a mile from the center of town. Our only criticism would be the lack of a front walk. Older folks may have trouble with the slightly uneven footing. Overall, an excellent place to stay for our time in Orleans! We had a great stay in comfort, and will try to get this house again for our next get together!"

  • Perfect get-away - our 5th year

"My husband and I discovered this lovely cottage in 2012 and have come back every year since then. It is so well located - close to the beach, the town of Orleans, hiking trails, restaurants and shops - yet also very secluded. Each time we return we feel as though we have come "home" for our summer vacation. The cottage has everything you need, including a washer and dryer and dishwasher. Be sure to bring your own sheets, towels, hairdryer and all other personal items. The owner is attentive, but never intrusive. Everything in the cottage is maintained in perfect condition. We just love this cottage and have no need to look elsewhere for our August vacation to the Cape."

  • Great location

"Our large family enjoyed the location and proximity of this house to our favorite Orleans beaches, the rail trail and bakeries. The marsh was perfect to kayak down to the beach. The house accommodated all of us comfortably."
