  • Cozy and quiet for a relaxing vacation!

"We stayed for a week to attend our nephew's wedding in Orleans. The cabin was perfect! Very neat and clean, quiet surroundings, and lovely view of sailboats on Arey's Pond. There were 4 of us for the entire week, with 2 more coming later in the week. Plenty of bedrooms and eating areas! We all loved the rustic atmosphere and being surrounded by trees. In addition, it was close to our other relatives and easy to drive to Hyannis and Provincetown. Highly recommend for a family or couple who want to visit Cape Cod and environs. Very responsive and welcoming owners, too!"

  • Great house in a wonderful location!

"My family spent a weekend at the Sea Captain's cottage in June and were really pleased with it. The owner met us there, gave us a quick tour, and everything was as advertised. It is located on a wonderful property and very close to many things. My 3 young children, wife, and mother-in-law enjoyed it immensely."

  • A great place for large families

"We spent a lovely week with my family to celebrate my 70th birthday! We were six adults and 3 children. The house has central air conditioning which we very much appreciated as the week was hot. The large kitchen was a central gathering place along with the outdoor patio. The tennis court is an added benefit and the court is in nice shape. The shed is stocked full of beach toys, chairs, umbrella, tennis rackets and balls. Crystal Lake is a short walk from the house and was a nice place to cool off and play in the water or use their paddle board. The house is centrally located with short drives to all beaches. We biked on the Cape Cod Rail Trail which is very nice and well maintained."

  • Back home

"We used this house for a reunion with family near where we used to live in Orleans. It is a very comfortable house! We particularly enjoyed the screen room - ate most of our dinners out there, comfortably with 7 people, easily fitting more guests for dinner some evenings, and entertained old friends for afternoon visits. The kitchen is pretty well set up for cooking, utensil-wise, and is a good space for more than one person working. The center island was a good place for people to sit and enjoy hors-douvres while meals were prepared and the open living/dining/kitchen area was also a great space for all of us to be without feeling cramped. The walk to the bay is pleasant and easy. The peaceful location of this house and setting on the lot gives a very secluded feel, but is only about a mile from the center of town. Our only criticism would be the lack of a front walk. Older folks may have trouble with the slightly uneven footing. Overall, an excellent place to stay for our time in Orleans! We had a great stay in comfort, and will try to get this house again for our next get together!"
