  • Cozy Cottage in a Great Location

"I thoroughly enjoyed my three week stay in this quaint and cozy beachside condo. There is more than enough room inside for a couple to stay comfortably with a great little deck off the back equipped with a small table and chairs and a view of the water. A front porch area provides additional outdoor space that is nicely shaded in the afternoon. The kitchen has all the essentials including a small full size fridge and apartment size stove. Even though this unit is in the building closest to the road, it is set up on a hill so it is quite quiet and always catches the breezes off the water. Located in a small complex of buildings, Unit #2 is a quintessential Cape Cod beach cottage. Comfortable and homey, there is a quiet and uncrowded beach a very short walk down the stairs from your front door. The beach is for the use of this and the neighboring complex residents and guests only. We repeatedly left our chairs, umbrella and towels while going back to the cottage for lunch and they were safe and sound when we returned. Both residents and guests here are friendly without being intrusive. This particular area of the cape is where you will find a great number of artists and galleries as well as a number of fabulous restaurants. Provincetown is a little over 5 miles away in one direction and Wellfleet about 12 miles in the other. The local bus stops right out front on the main road and takes you to the middle of Provincetown for far less than the cost of parking your car for the day. It runs from early morning to midnight daily. You can also transfer to the beach shuttle to get to Provincetown Race Point as well as other beaches there. The little town of Wellfleet is about a 20 minute drive in the other direction and has both an indoor cinema and the Capes' only drive-in theatre! The only reason I gave a 4 star review instead of 5 is because I found the bed to be a little uncomfortable for a longer stay. By day 9 I was feeling a bit stiff in the morning. In addition, a little better vacuuming under and behind furniture and more attention to the cleanliness of stovetop and oven would have been nice. A mattress upgrade and these attention to details would make these accommodations a full 5-Star in my book."

  • Wonderful, quintessential Truro beach cottage experience

"My husband and I, along with our three month old daughter, spent the most wonderful weekend at this property. For those looking for the quintessential old-school lower Cape cottage feel, this is it. The back deck looks out on Pilgrim Heights and is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The front of the condo is about 100 yards from a beautiful bayside beach, and there are picnic tables and even a hammock. The bonus for us was that our baby monitor worked on the beach, so we were able to have our daughter sleep while we enjoyed the sunset, which was gorgeous both nights. The bed was comfortable, cottage clean and well-furnished, with fresh towels and linens. Perfectly located, 10 minute drive into the center of Provincetown, and very close to a beautiful beach on the ocean side, Head of the Meadow. Highly recommend, and we hope to go back."

  • Best beach on the cape with a lovely home to match

"I reserved a week at the Brachs home for a cousins family reunion and it couldn't have been more perfect. First off, the sisters that handle the rental are wonderful to deal with. You feel a true sense of warmth and caring that extends to the home itself. It feels like a place that knows joy and treasured memories, the perfect place to reconnect with family and friends. The beach is spectacular. My wife and I have rented many homes on the bay side from Eastham to Truro and this was hands down the best. It had a significant beach even at high tide which is not always the case and a reasonably easy path down to the beach where the Brachs leave two kayaks for their guests enjoyment. There are very few homes in the area so you have the beach virtually to yourselves. We saw seals swim by several times and on the last day 14 loons swam close to the beach. I discovered a pair of fine binoculars in the master bedroom closet ( the father was apparently an avid birder) and was able to get an even better look. The sunsets from the deck are spectacular. The tennis court that is shared with a few homes is in pretty good shape and is situated in a little valley that protects it from the ocean breeze. There's great cycling right outside your door. Wellfleet center is just 10 minutes away by car where you can pick up fresh fish, fresh vegetables and anything else you need. And there are restaurants galore within easy driving distance. It should be mentioned that while the main house is air conditioned, the annex is not. We were there for a pretty warm week and the guests that stayed in the annex said it was fine. All in all, the best home we've stayed at in our many vacations on the cape. Bravo!"

  • So relaxing!

"This house was absolutely perfect for my family of 10. The house was spacious and had all the amenities. Our favorite part of this home was the 2 huge decks. We loved having our dinners on the deck, relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the peacefulness surrounding us. The beach is about 3/4 miles from the house. It's doable to walk but with little ones you need to drive. We purchased a sticker and were able to visit a couple of other Truro beaches--all amazing!! The owner was great to deal with. She always replied immediately to my emails."
