  • What a property!, What a location!

"My young family & I had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent compound perched on a hill above one of the most scenic, crystal clear Kettle ponds (Great Pond) the Cape has to offer, Memorial Day weekend- the weather of which was fantastic! The property's description is spot on and clearly, the owner spared little expense on this new build out! From beds, to TVs, to sound system to the meticulous attention to detail throughout, we felt pampered but only until we ended up at the BeachComber just 5 minutes south, where ringing in the new Summer took over :) We found ourselves occupying the back deck overlooking the pond, listening to outdoor speakers and drinking wine/ grilling in efforts to chart the day (or evenings) and at least once stayed put due to the ambience, and faint ocean serenity heard crashing the cliffs on an easterly breeze. To the point above, this location is IDEAL, in that you're literally a mile or so from either the ocean or the bay, surrounded by some of the best restaurants the 'real' Cape has to offer. We dined at the PbBistro (magnificent French), the Mac Shack, the Pearl, and of course set out for the BeachComber's stunning views & rowdy/ right of passage scene on a daily basis. Into cycling? the Cape Cod rail trail is 4 minutes away for you 'tar' lovers or for the mountain biker set (me), hard pack trails literally right off the compound's driveway comprised of tens of miles of 'cross country' workouts that bisect this area, often terminating into jaw dropping views from 100 foot high cliffs. Can't forget Ptown of course just 9 miles north again, replete with great cuisine and after a long afternoon, a quick sprint back to the compound for warm, fresh water swimming and kayaking !!! - What a way to unwind. We're returning in August. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was here...."

  • Perfect Getaway!

"This was the perfect cottage, indeed! When we arrived we marveled at how tasteful and cosy the house was. The house was immaculately clean as well. It had all the charm of a 1780's home with its hugely wide floor boards and the most beautiful and incredibly well kept gardens simultaneously having all the current modern conveniences such as a great sound system complete with sonos wired throughout the house. If you are interested in cooking, the kitchen is incredible! Every appliance and gadget is at your fingertips and the layout is the most user friendly, with a giant stainless steel island-a true working kitchen! The grill could not have been easier to use and practically sparkled when I opened it. The bedrooms were beautiful and the linens were so soft and snuggly, it made you linger in bed just a bit longer. There are two and a half bathrooms and lovely tiled showers. Truro is a truly special part of the Cape and we enjoyed the ocean, the bay, and the fresh water lakes. To call this cottage home for a week in Truro would be the perfect compliment."

  • Comfortable and clean. My daughter and I arrived the evening before Thanksgiving to start cooking

"The weather was chilly but the house heated up quickly. Every room was clean and welcoming and the kitchen was up to the task of cooking Thanksgiving dinner. The family arrived the next day. All found the place easily and we had a great time. The pool table was a great hit with everyone during down time. We had a terrific time spending "black Friday" in Chatham and the following day in Osterville holiday shopping. The house was spacious, accommodating 6 adults and two teenage girls as well as Maggie a PW dog. Great time for a family get away."
