  • We really didn't want to leave!

"We've rented numerous homes on the Cape and this was by far our favorite! My family--2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog--stayed here in August 2015. The house was beautiful, spacious, immaculate and the perfect getaway from the Boston 'burbs. The landscaping was beautiful--a welcome surprise when we arrived. The decor was fun, tasteful and interesting, creating just the right atmosphere for a relaxing week. The beautiful new kitchen was well-stocked. The living area was sunny with a beautiful view. We ate all our dinners on the deck off the dining area, and enjoyed many cups of coffee in the lounge chairs on the outer deck. When the weather was a little damp, we took advantage of the games and puzzles that were in ample supply. My son loved having the entire downstairs "suite" to himself and the grown-ups loved that each child had his/her own bathroom separate from ours. The kids had a blast discovering Ballston, Longnook and Cornhill beaches. (We'd previously gone to the bigger beaches, but these were far less crowded and, I would argue, nicer.) And we took full advantage of local offerings--restaurants, Truro Farmer's Market, Payomet Performance Center, Oliver's Red Clay Tennis Courts, Provincetown and Cape Cod Rail Trail. Just a wonderful way to spend a summer week."

  • Classic Outer Cape, a magical place.

"My in laws and my brother in law's family were extremely comfortable here with two little ones (4 and 6 mo) in tow as they visited my husband and me from far away. Our only regret was that we did not stay longer. The house is clearly the work of many years of rest and fun on the cape. Beautiful, artistic touches in the design and furnishings and a simple back in time experience (this is not the place for those who don't appreciate "simple" or "back in time"- fortunately we all very much do!). The breezes flow rapidly through the living areas, making you feel integrated with the woods outside. The porch is huge and the view beautiful. People can spread out and disappear or join each other in the cheerful living room. Great books on Cape Cod lore to browse and a thoughtful introduction in the house folder. This home was exactly was we hoped for- more actually. It gave a sense of being tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the quiet nature and artistic communion of the Outer Cape. A gorgeous beach is down the road, and plenty of good food (fish markets, drives to PB Boulangerie, the Bookstore, Napi's). Provincetown is close enough to be very convenient as well. What a special place. We were all sad to leave- perhaps four year old Millie being saddest. After whale watching and listening to whale songs, beach and romping on the fun orange pillow-chair, and eating ice cream in bustling Provincetown, she wasn't at all ready to head back to Texas. Thank you for sharing your cherished family home with us for the weekend. We felt like it was ours too- what a treat. Tip- bring a travel crib or pack n play for small babies. We were glad we did. And check pollen levels when planning your stay- the entire Cape was abloom! Although we didn't care one bit. I highly recommend this place as long as you don't nudge me out of a chance to stay again!"

  • Beautiful home and natural setting

"Beautiful, comfortable home thoughtfully integrated into serene natural setting on hill overlooking woods in Truro's National Seashore area. Perfect for "getting away from it all" for relaxing family vacation with lots of quality downtime and outdoor activities. Secluded heated pool with landscaped garden overlooking woods. One of the Cape's most beautiful beaches (Longnook) is a short drive/bike ride/jog away (1.7 miles), and Truro's amazing network of other Atlantic and Bay side beaches are easily accessible through short scenic drives and bike rides. Warm, tastefully designed/decorated family home with layout and conveniences to comfortably accommodate multiple generations."

  • Great house for a family reunion

"This is the second time we rented this house, and it is a great property for our annual family reunion. We hope to rent it again next year. The bedrooms have bathrooms en suite so everyone has their privacy. There are two large living rooms and a big dining area. There is a large deck with a hot tub and a patio with a fire pit. It is a great house for a party - we had my husbands birthday party there. The house comes fully equipped with an abundance of linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs and toys, etc. The kitchen has a large selection of pots, pans, dishes, small appliances, etc. More than ample. We did a lot of cooking on the gas grille. This is not a fancy house - it is a typical Cape beach house, so if you are looking for granite counters and Pottery Barn furniture, this won't be the place for you. But if you are looking for a place that is amenable to beach living, the spills of young children, and the presence of a dog (the owner allows my daughter to bring her dog) then this is a great property. There is also a small guest house which we also rent - a perfect little spillover spot. The owner is very responsive. When we emailed her with questions or when small issues came up, she got back to us right away."
