  • What a property!, What a location!

"My young family & I had the pleasure of staying at this magnificent compound perched on a hill above one of the most scenic, crystal clear Kettle ponds (Great Pond) the Cape has to offer, Memorial Day weekend- the weather of which was fantastic! The property's description is spot on and clearly, the owner spared little expense on this new build out! From beds, to TVs, to sound system to the meticulous attention to detail throughout, we felt pampered but only until we ended up at the BeachComber just 5 minutes south, where ringing in the new Summer took over :) We found ourselves occupying the back deck overlooking the pond, listening to outdoor speakers and drinking wine/ grilling in efforts to chart the day (or evenings) and at least once stayed put due to the ambience, and faint ocean serenity heard crashing the cliffs on an easterly breeze. To the point above, this location is IDEAL, in that you're literally a mile or so from either the ocean or the bay, surrounded by some of the best restaurants the 'real' Cape has to offer. We dined at the PbBistro (magnificent French), the Mac Shack, the Pearl, and of course set out for the BeachComber's stunning views & rowdy/ right of passage scene on a daily basis. Into cycling? the Cape Cod rail trail is 4 minutes away for you 'tar' lovers or for the mountain biker set (me), hard pack trails literally right off the compound's driveway comprised of tens of miles of 'cross country' workouts that bisect this area, often terminating into jaw dropping views from 100 foot high cliffs. Can't forget Ptown of course just 9 miles north again, replete with great cuisine and after a long afternoon, a quick sprint back to the compound for warm, fresh water swimming and kayaking !!! - What a way to unwind. We're returning in August. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was here...."

  • OUTSTANDING RENTAL – look no further!!!

"I have been renting on the Cape for over 20 years in Dennis, Chatham and Truro and have finally found the perfect rental! We are repeat renters and plan to keep coming back as long as the owner will have us. She has clearly worked hard to create the perfect vacation home and has provided all of the right touches to make your vacation as special as it should be. From the arrival experience (see listing photos, the house looks exactly like this) to the sunny “reading room” stocked with books for you to read (or take home if you don’t finish) to the gigantic, tastefully furnished deck overlooking a beautiful gorge to the XM radio with built in speakers to the *NEW* huge outdoor shower- I would live here year round if I could. First and most important to us when choosing a vacation home - this beautiful house is sparkling clean. Very hard to find a house that is “city clean” as I call it- and this place is it. Every corner, every bathroom, the deck, the grill… you name it this place is cleaner than my own home. Then – the beaches. The house is about 5 minutes from Long Nook beach and if you need a change of pace – equal distance to Ballston Beach. Truro beaches are the most beautiful on the Cape and best of all- most of them are private which means you don’t have to rush to the beach in the morning to get your “spot”. Sleep in…go for a walk…go to PB Boulangerie for a croissant and coffee or even bust out a few yoga moves on the beautiful serene deck like I did..then head to the beach whenever you feel ready. The kitchen is more than stocked for whatever you decide to cook, grille, shake or blend. Two blenders! Plenty of lobster hardware which also is not always the case with rentals. Bedrooms are all super nice and comfortable and again, CLEAN. Provincetown is 8 minutes by car (we timed it) for great restaurants, shopping and of course waterfront views. If you decide to skip P-Town – Wellfleet is also 8 minutes in the other direction. Here you will find a quaint cape town with equally as good restaurants and great art. Keep in mind-Truro has a couple of excellent restaurants as well – in addition to the Vineyard (outdoor yoga) and other fun attractions. Farmers market walking distance as well as local seafood at the end of the road. The owner provides a very comprehensive list of how the house works, local favorites, things to do, etc so you will have not one question on what to do or how to do it. We did not bring kids – adult only vacatio"

  • Clean, efficient unit. A steal at this price.

"The unit was immaculately clean. Nicely appointed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would possibly want. Great for one or two people. Nice clean pool. And a distant (but clear) view of the bay from a spacious deck."
