  • Welcoming and relaxing

"Our experience with this property was good. The home is updated, deceptively spacious and comfortable. There are two bedrooms with their own bathroom on the first floor, entry level with a loft bedroom overlooking the first floor living room. One bedroom is obviously the master with its bigger bathroom and slider door entrance to the spacious back deck. However, I opted for the bedroom across the hall. It, too, had its own smaller bathroom...not a double sink..but with a nice shower. The most attractive feature of the second bedroom was its unique feature of windows on three sides. Nice to have the cross ventilation. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom with a spacious den and laundry room in the walkout basement. The home is so tastefully furnished you find yourself going to the extra effort to keep the home as pristine as you found it. You can hear the surf from the deck that surrounds three sides of the home. The beach is within walking distance. This home is the owner's second home and reflects their thoughtfulness towards their guests with plentiful towels, bicycles, and beach chairs. I posted pictures on my fb page and had two friends express interest in the property for their family vacation. Would definitely recommend."

  • The Perfect Combination of Relaxation and Active Fun

"We stayed for a week and, after the experience, would have gladly never left! The Madaket location was perfect for our family - quiet setting for mom within walking and biking distance to great beaches, some of which had the big waves for my older son and very calm waters with lots of fascinating sea creatures for my younger son. Bike paths allowed us quick beach and restaurant access, and there were also numerous natural reserves with wildlife viewing - we loved the snapping turtles. The private outdoor shower was great for use after a day at the beach. The property itself was perfect for an island retreat. The three floors provided lots of space for our family of four and could have easily accommodated a second family. There were three bedrooms, one with four bunk beds, so the boys and adults had their choice of where to sleep. The beds and sofa were really comfy, and the kitchen was spacious and fully stocked with everything we needed to make meals at the house. That was a really great bonus since there was not only a large indoor dining table but a big table on the second story deck with a grill that allowed us to eat outside. And there was an outdoor fire pit with adirondack chairs for making smores at night. It was also wonderful to have the washer and dryer and downstairs deck for drying off swimsuits, and even though we didn't use the TV much, it was nice for the kids to have in the evening after a day of physical activity. The decor was super inviting - bright beach whites and blues, lots of coral, shells, whales and boats. Everything was light, exceptionally clean, and relaxing, with full amenities. We were very excited to find out that we could rent bikes and have them delivered directly to the property, which meant that we could bike to more a more distant beach to surf, and into town for sightseeing. For food shopping, there was a bus that we took into town. The July weather was great for Tucsonans looking to escape 110+ degree heat. Warm days, almost all sunny, with a single foggy day that we loved because it cloaked the island in mystery as we biked though what sometimes looked to us like a mini rain forest. We know without a doubt we'll be returning!"

  • Great cottage in Madakat!

"Three bedroom home; Master had a queen size bed (very squeaky) with bathroom. The bathroom was pretty small, and only a stand-up shower. The fan in Master Bathroom squeals at such a high pitch, it along with the light, had to stay off. The second room had two twin size beds and was great. The third room had two bunk beds and a window. This room got very hot at night (and it was only 50 degrees outside at night), that we had to make sure the one window was open, fan taken off the floor and plugged in, and door stayed opened so it wasn't so hot in there. Second bathroom was great size with laundry inside, and full size tub. Kitchen / Living area was spacious and had everything. The yard was just what we were looking for... space. Green everywhere, bunnies hoping around, and kids could just go outside and throw the baseball around when we were home. Pick up of the key, and drop of was wonderful, easy to find, and easy to find the house (even in the fog). Ants in the house; they were trying to take care of by some ant traps, probably to be expected of the area. Overall we loved staying here, and working with Peter! He was fabulous!"

"Sea dog is a beautiful house with a quick walk to the beach. The house is perfect for families and has everything you could use for a wonderful vacation. It is also very convenient to the bus and a small grocery store for emergency items. Owners were fabulous and very helpful! would definitely return."
