  • Great place!

"My family, young and old, had a wonderful week away on Plum Island. The weather was hot, but the house had many fans and the shade on the porch kept us comfy while catching the breeze. The Island is quiet and a great place to walk safely. The beach is literally just out the back door. The beach was quiet and only a few others directly by the house. We experienced a beautiful full moon shining off the water. The kitchen was well stocked. The two living rooms (upstairs with an AMAZING water view). Allowed us to spread out when needed. Newbury is a quick drive away and offered restaurants and shopping as needed. We took a drive 35 mins north to the Kittery Outlets. There were rumors of the Plum Island flies, but we did not find them to be a concern at all. Do not let old stories of them deter you from this location. The owner is very responsive and provided everything that you'd hope for in a rental. We would definitely consider returning again in the future."

  • Wonderful location and perfect house

"We just finished our stay at this beautiful home. The location on the beach is perfect. We were fortunate enough to miss the crowds, but lucky enough to meet many friendly locals. We happily did nothing but enjoy peace and quite for a week. 5 minute drive from downtown Newburyport, which is adorable. Don't miss the Sunday farmers market! Heidi was great to work with and very responsive. The house is fully equipped minus the dishwasher, but that didn't bother us. The house is spotless, furniture super comfortable, and the sunroom can't be beat! You can tell that this is someone's "home" and not just an income property. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation!"

  • Perfect for Two

"We stayed here over Christmas so we could walk on the beaches and trails in the Parker River Refuge. The cottage is heated by a small gas stove and an auxiliary heater. Despite cold and windy days, after a couple of hours it was cozy. Everything is modern and very clean. The kitchen is well outfitted. One of the friendly owners greeted us and showed us around. There was a basket of fruit and yogurt in the fridge, coffee, and a bottle of wine. This cottage could handle four people, but the dining table is a little small, and the furniture was limited. There is wifi, but it was not quite working during our stay. We did not care... . We wanted a quiet holiday; reading, listening to music, minutes from the great seashore and this did the trick."

  • Great for relaxing or entertaining! Very CLEAN!

"We had the pleasure of spending 3 months at Patrick and Kim’s “Island Time” rental. As depicted in the photographs, it is cozy yet spacious. The cottage is tastefully furnished and decorated with TLC. All the amenities make it feel like home! During our stay, we enjoyed taking our kayaks in the calm waters of the basin which can be easily accessed just a few steps down the road. Mornings were begun by taking a mile jog to the public beach to witness the sunrise and welcome each new day. In the summertime, one could spend many hours at the gorgeous beach. The outdoor shower is a lovely way to culminate a day at the beach or to start a new day! Coming home at the end of the day, we were treated to amazing sunsets over the marsh. A three mile bike ride brought us into the refuge to bask in the unspoiled landscape while spotting hawks and other birds. A few more miles down the road is the tranquil Sandy Beach overlooking the impressive Crane Estate in Ipswich. Although our stay was in fall and early winter, we were able to enjoy many wonders of nature! We highly recommend this home any time of year! Patrick and Kim are easily accessible by phone, text or email and very accommodating! They take much pride in ownership and seem to get joy from sharing their wonderful retreat from the day to day rush. Their cottage is a place to RELAX and RENEW! Enjoy it!"
