  • A little piece of joy

"This is a sweet cabin in a perfect location. The cabin was immaculate, had a great layout, and included everything we needed. Lovely outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake. Perfect for quiet, restful nights. The cabin is extremely well situated; it's near a ton of hikes, a bike path, close to Empire and Glen Arbor, and the dunes. We also enjoyed all the historic architecture in the area and all the local food! We went in early June, as the lilacs were blooming and the air was infused with their scent—so lovely!"

  • Large, comfortable and well-equipped home on peaceful Bryan Lake. Great location!

"This house had plenty of space, inside and out, for our family of six during a week-long family reunion. The older boys loved paddling on Bryan lake, playing pool and games in the family room, and our 3-year old enjoyed the nice selection of books. The deck was perfect for a large family gathering one evening. We also took advantage of a nearby Almira Township Park and enjoyed its picnic shelters, bathrooms and playground equipment. Other activities included climbing the Dunes, kayaking the Platte River, playing on Frankfurt's beach and exploring nearby Traverse City. The owners are very caring and thoughtful and provided all the necessary information about their home. Barb and Steve, thank you for sharing your piece of paradise."

  • Hostess with the Mostess!!

"We had a lovely time at this quaint little cottage on the lake!! Two bedrooms plus a futon made it perfect and incredibly affordable for our party of 5. Despite the heat (it was in the 90's) the cottage is shaded by woods and has many ceiling fans to keep it comfortable, even during a heat wave. And there's always the lake. Small, well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Sally, the owner, was close enough to help with anything we needed. She was also (over) careful to respect our privacy, so if solitude is what you seek, still a great choice. But we are social people who LOVED her company, stories, tips, etc. She even took us out on her pontoon for a cruise around the lake and partied with us a bit- what a hoot! The fire pit was the gathering place at night while we watched lightning bugs and shooting stars buzz on by while listening to the soothing sounds of the night frogs. We almost felt like locals by the end of the trip and we're sad to leave. We will be back Sally, and we're bringing some more cold Michigan brewskis with us! Thanks for everything!"

  • Wheeler Summer of 2016

"And what an incredible week it was!! With a gathering of our long time friends, we couldn't have asked for a wonderful place to gather 15 of us together! What a wonderful place, with the lake frontage and spacious grounds to romp and play like a bunch of youngsters....well, we're not exactly youngsters, except in our own minds, however, we did do some rompin' on the grounds. What else could we have asked for but a huge area, and so well kept! The group evening meals that we all shared throughout the house were perfect for the group we had. Temperatures for the week, we couldn't have forecasted any better!"
