  • RELAX IN UNION PIER !!

"We just came back from a wonderfully restful and fun week at 'A BLUE MOON.' The home is so comfortable, with plenty of space and yet a cozy, warm feel with relaxing touches all around. Extremely CLEAN!. Our family enjoyed the area beach life ( 1/2 block away, as well as Warren Dunes, St. Joe, New Buffalo and Michigan City).Since we like to cook, we had a complete kitchen with everything we needed for preparing and serving our meals. Coffee shops, restaurants all close by. The home is very PRIVATE, with a beautiful appreciation of the wooded landscape, wildlife, many birds and an overall peaceful setting. Beautiful area to go on long, interesting walks with a variety of historic homes and newer properties as well. You can also easily walk to the beach, and just relax. The owner has a great collection of books, games and movies as well. She is quick to respond to any questions and delivers on everything promised in the description. Highly recommend !! Will be back!"

  • Pretty Place

"Booked this for a sister and mother getaway. I ended up unable to attend due to illness but my four sisters and mom said the cottage was beautiful and decorated very well. Their only complaints were that there weren't enough washcloths and towels, no real view of the lake, too many steps to the beach and wished for better drapes for the windows for privacy. Otherwise they felt it was a nice place for a getaway."

  • Adult Weekend Getaway

"This house is absolutely perfect for any large group! It had literally everything you could possibly need and is very spacious. The rooms are amazing and the master bathroom has a beautiful jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. There is a fire pit and wonderful screened in porch which not only has all the beach towels you could need but also mini fridges for convenience. The pool was the perfect temperature even in the fall and a great way to relax after a long day. The owner is great to work with and very accommodating. We had such a wonderful time staying here we've decided we'd like to come back every year and make this an annual trip for our friends as well as come back hopefully in the summer with all of our families. This was by far the best place to stay in the area and made our trip away fantastic!!"

  • Beautiful home, stunning view, perfect getaway for the family!

"This home is so perfect for a family gathering! All rooms lovely! The kitchen was fully equipped for a large group and what a treat to gather in the morning, with our coffee, looking at the view of the lake! When it was rainy one day, we visited Dablon winery, with a beautiful tasting room, only one year old. Also, walked at Galien Park, 5 minute drive. Enjoyed, swimming in the lake, playing games in the backyard, basketball in the front yard, and riding around the neighborhood with the provided bicycles. Dinner at Timothy's was a great night, as well! And we took many photos for the yearly Christmas photo of the family! Kathleen is so wonderful to organize your trip to this home, and thank you, from the whole family! From the prompt replies at the beginning, to meeting us at the house, to being available anytime, and then connecting for our goodbye. There is no question that we will return, the only question is how soon!"
