  • Clean & Easy

"This is the 3rd time we have stayed. The house is always clean and the owner is easy to work with. This was our first visit where the weather and our schedule allowed us to sit outside at the backyard conversation area which we enjoyed. The location is excellent. We walked to the lake shore every morning and out to dinner one time. You can see from the pictures that everything is beautiful inside. Highly recommend as a great value alternative to a hotel for families.."

  • Perfect Keewenaw Escape

"This was the perfect northern escape to the Keweenaw. Beautiful Lake Superior location. The lake views from our windows were outstanding. Philip is a perfect host - he made it clear that his priority was making sure that everything was just right. He was extremely accommodating . He was patient, and always smiling, no matter how many times I sought him out for something. This property is a short drive to Houghton/Hancock, and Copper Harbor. Calumet has many restaurants and a large grocery store. We also enjoyed touring Calumets historic downtown. We found many good hiking trails close by. We loved the Monk trails close to Eagle Harbor. . When we come back to this area we wouldn't stay anywhere else!"

  • Great location to visit the Porcupine Mountains, well stocked house, clean and relaxing.

"We (5 adults) went to hike in the Porcupine Mountains in June. It seems this area is used more in the winter for snowmobiling. We highly recommend coming here in the summer. The house is 30 mn from one end of the Porcupine mountains and 1 hour from the other end. The house was clean, the kitchen has all you need for dishes, pots, pans, microwave, crockpot, toaster oven and more. Two full bathrooms, nice and clean. The downstairs has a nice suite of bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. The other 3 bedrooms are on the top floor. Quiet neighborhood, 20 mn from the town of Ironwood that has grocery stores, coffee shops, movie theatre and really great pastys."

  • Top Shelf Home and Homeowner

"I was a guest of a guest in this home, my brother-in-law rented it and we were along for the ride. On arrival, I was amazed at the place, it was perfect in every way. Clean, nicely appointed, fully stocked, more rooms than anyone could use and plenty of things to do if you are indoors due to weather. Ping pong, pool table, Foosball, games, books, everything you need to cook, a sauna, decks galore. It is a home and feels like one the minute you get there you are relaxing and can feel the comfort. We also had the privilege of meeting the owner who we invited to share some wine with us. What a delight she is. We are homeowners who rent property ourselves so we know about traveler trepidation. We have also rented in many places where the photos do not live up to the property on arrival. Not so here, this place is better than the photos. If we ever return to this area, this is the place we plan to stay."
