  • Great Get-away

"The charm and character of this house is great. We felt like we walked into our grandparents home. Everything was what we had hoped for and then some. We brought our snowmobiles and there is plenty of room for them in the 2 car garage. The access direct from the garage to the basement was great for coming in after the day of riding. Tina and Steve from the Depot next door who care for the house were great also. They answered any question we had related to the house and also the local area. We will definitely rent this place again."

  • Very adequate for a place to stay for outdoors-people

"This is not a five star hotel, but then that's not what we were looking for. It's attractive and not run-down-- some recently upgrades have been done. It had a large entry room to put a bunch of stuff, an adequate kitchen, dining, family, and one bathroom that were all nice. The beds were comfortable. There is no central air conditioning which was compensated by window cooling units. There was a large screen TV with cable, but no internet. This building was older-- the main floor slanted a bit, but it was nice. It was just what we were looking for as a place to stay for my family of 7 for a few days while we hiked the Porcupine Mountains and canoed the Ontonagon River."
