Cozy cottage with private Lake Superior beach in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
Our cozy, lakeside cottage is perfect for up to 4, with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Enjoy the privacy of our beach and home, or get out and immerse yourself in the beauty and adventure our Great Lake and the nearby Porcupine Mountains have to offer.
The cottage:
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need to prepare a meal or cocktail. If cooking is your thing, you will enjoy the quality cookware, a collection of kitchen tools, and a gas grill. We provide K-cups, tea choices, and hot chocolate for your stay. There is a coffee grinder as well, if you prefer to bring your own coffee.
The living room faces the lake and offers amazing views. Cuddle up with a book, play a game, or watch a storm roll in over the lake.
There are 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 full bed) with quality memory foam mattresses and room darkening blinds. The larger bedroom has a second television.
There is one full bathroom with a tub and shower combination. Towels and hand soap are provided. We also provide 4 beach towels per stay and a washer and dryer.
The outdoor space:
There is plenty of parking and a good size yard. The star though, is the amazing beach, which is just steps from the door. You can walk for miles in both directions or just sit and soak up the sun. We provide lounge chairs and folding chairs for you to watch the sunset or enjoy a fire.
In the summer you can enjoy swimming or picking rocks, beach glass, or Yooperlites. We provide the UV flashlights you need to find these special rocks. You will also find beach toys, beach towels, chairs, and coolers. Everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach!
But summer isn’t the only option. The rest of the year is equally as beautiful, and very quiet. Most days, from September to May, you will have the beach and lake to yourself. Come for the spectacular colors in the fall or enjoy our winter wonderland.
The outdoor opportunities in the area are endless. We provide a variety of maps and guidebooks to help you make the most of your UP adventure. Whether you hike, ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, bike, or ATV...there are options within minutes.
Come and enjoy a spectacular sunset in any season!

This is a gem right on Lake Superior, lots of shoreline to walk. Great location to Porkies. Highly recommend checking the place out.

This cottage was the perfect peaceful getaway for my husband and myself. We had a couple of beautiful days on the beach and a couple of windy days cozied up inside. It was quiet, uninterrupted and recharging. The cottage was very clean, had everything we could have needed and it was so easy to just leave everything behind for a few days.

The cottage is perfect!! The house is clean, hosts are great, and the beach is amazing. The house is well-stocked and comfortable. The sunsets on the beach are beautiful. Great location for driving to see all the local sites. A in all categories. We plan to return.

I'm not sure which was more perfect, the property or the setting. It was a wonderful stay, and the hosts thought of and provided absolutely everything. Thoughtful touches everywhere made me freak genuinely welcomed and valued. I'm definitely going to find another reason to stay!

2nd time staying here and everything was perfect. Nicely secluded and only 5 to 10 minutes away from restaurants and grocery store. Lots to see in the Kewenaw.

Perfect!!!The cottage is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need and is absolutely spotless.The beach and sunsets are amazing!We found about a dozen yooperlites and even a few pieces of beach glass.Great location for visiting The Porkies and easy day trips to Black River Scenic Byway or The Keweenaw.Rob and Lori are very responsive and have clearly put a lot of thought into their property. We would highly recommend staying here.

2nd time staying because I loved it so much the first time! The best part of waking up in this cozy cottage is being able to walk right out to the beach with your coffee. The hosts are great and communicated quickly when I had any questions. It’s a quiet little spot without seeing neighbors, unless they are down the beach. Perfect location for people who want to get away from their lives and just look for rocks, or check out the sights of the Porcupines, and Keweenaw Peninsula.

Nicely secluded with Beautiful sunsets. Would definitely consider staying here again. Cottage was beautifully decorated with updated appliances.

We love coming to the cottage. It's always clean, nicely stocked with everything one might need. Our kids loved the sand toys and the beach was perfect.

Amazing Stay
The cabin, grounds, and private drive were all amazing. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and even nicer than the pictures.
The beach and views were exceptional, and there are unlimited activities nearby. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Perfect getaway
Beautiful cottage on a beautiful beach! The cottage was perfectly organized, super clean and had everything we could have needed and wanted for our two night vacation.

Absolutely lovely house on the beach, immaculately clean and had all the amenities you could need. Well stocked kitchen, coffee and tea, spices, good quality cookware and dishes, comfy beds, lots of blankets, great shower, puzzles and games to play as well. Beach was amazing and we walked out there every day. Very quiet and peaceful. Cozy and warm in the cabin in February. Can't wait to visit again!Hosts were very responsive.Thanks for a great time!

Superior Shoreline
Amazing place to stay, very happy to have found this hidden gem of a place. Clean, well stocked, and secluded location to relax, walk the shoreline, close to Ontonagon and convenient for travel to Porkies and waterfalls.

Vacation changing
Absolutely impressed with the property, private beachfront, lakeshore access, accommodations for kids and adults, beautiful summer sunsets directly across the lake, absolutely ideal.

My husband and I grew up in the UP and recently moved back to the area. We love living on the lake and are so happy to introduce others to this amazing area. We love to travel, eat, and spend time with our dog.

The location of our cottage is very private, but town is only a 5 minute drive. There are days when you will feel like you have the entire lake to yourself. You can walk for miles on the beach, take a swim, and enjoy a s’more by the fire.
