  • Lovely home on great lake

"This is a lovely home near Crosslake. We loved the beach and really enjoyed our time there. There are steps, but I never found them to be a burden going down to the lake. The fire-ring is perfectly set-up and the house amenities are top rate. There is no basement, this was the only point i found odd."

  • Beautiful Escape

"I absolutely love this place! The lake is crystal clear, your view of the sunrise is breathtaking, the house is adorable and set up nicely with everything you need to enjoy your time "up north". Even the drive into this property is beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed my time here!!"

  • Quaint Roomy Cabin, Great Value!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was obvious that the owners had put a lot of love and effort into creating a place that was warm and inviting. We really liked how the cabin was decorated, especially some of the small touches, ie: the antler paper towel holder, the old sleds and skis on the wall of the porch, and the modern updates to the kitchen and guest bathroom were noticeable and wonderful! The washer & dryer was a bonus and came in handy mid-week. We chose the front bedroom because it had one whole wall of windows so we could wake up in the morning to a beautiful view of the lake. PS: We have never heard or seen so many loons! The yard on the lakeside was probably our favorite place. The cabin is situated just above the lake, which made for great views. There are some stairs leading down to the dock, probably less than one flight, which we found totally manageable even carrying coolers and gear. There wasn't a designated beach area, and up near the shore, there were some small rocks, but just a little further out, the bottom was hard and sandy and the water was very clear. You could swim off the dock, or easily find a place on the lake to pull up and swim. The entire lake chain was sandy, and the water clarity was incredible! We looked forward to sitting in the swing overlooking the lake each night to watch the sunsets. The swing faced directly west and was hidden behind some big trees for privacy from the neighbors. We made use of the fire-pit almost every night we were there, and were able to grill and eat on the outdoor table on the stone patio one night. We biked into town and visited some of the antique shops, and had lunch one day at Andy’s Bar & Grill. We spent a lot of time on the pontoon boat which was provided, even when it rained and the wind was blowing. We explored all the lakes (14 of them I think), pulled up on a sandbar for a picnic, did some fishing (we caught a 36-1/2” Northern), ate at the Wharf restaurant right on the water, and stopped at the Manhattan Beach Lodge for a visit to the Tiki Hut where the owner's friend Darryl mixed us up a couple of long island iced teas. We sipped our drinks while sitting in a couple of Adirondack chairs as we gazed out at the lake - so nice! Overall, we had a wonderful time. There were a few housekeeping issues that the owners helped us with when we arrived, and some others that we shared with them that they assure us will be taken care of in the very near future."

  • Scandinavian Charm With Beautiful Sunsets

"Still have fond memories of our 4th of July weekend at this lovely home on Trout Lake. We loved the Scandinavian charm, cleanliness and well stocked kitchen and supplies. We also appreciated the comfortable beds and sauna. The large front deck was enjoyed as was the cozy TV room. The walking trail right outside the door was used every day. We couldn't improve on much except to say we carefully thought to each trip up and down the stairs to the beach. Once there, however, the sandy bottom was a treat. Great location, with quick access to town for supplies - etc. Would definitely stay again!"
