  • Beautifully peaceful

"Plenty of room for our whole family on a beautiful quiet lake. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back again in the future."

  • Weekend with friends

"What a location! One of the pictures I took from the deck on top fo the garage looks like we are ocean side with the nice sand, calm water and beach grasses waving in the breeze! We take an annual trip to Duluth with my high school friends (3 couples total) and this is the first time we rented a house and we plan to do it again next year! We were able to bike over the bridge to the Canal Park area and down to Park Point. The view is amazing day and night. The home is lovely and the owners went out of their way to provide ice and make sure we were all set. Only recommendation is some small tables up on the deck as we loved eating up there but had to balance plates. The bathroom/shower is beautiful and the rooms all comfortable and spacious. We hope to be back next year!"

  • Perfect Getaway!

"We had a great time and the home met all of our needs! It is close to Tower and we were able to bike and tour the Soudan Mine. It was great to have access to the kayaks and canoe as we spent one morning kayaking, canoeing, and boated to one of the restaurants for lunch. We were able to have camp fires at night and the decks are great to enjoy coffee every morning with the sunrise. We spent time in Ely - less than 1/2 hr. away. There are ample beds for a large group! We would definitely recommend Bart's home on Lake Vermilion!"

  • Fantastic!!!

"What a gorgeous, fabulously located cabin perched atop the cliff's edge with expansive views of Lake Superior right out the back windows, to include the master bedroom. We loved the convenient heat provided by the geothermal heat system and the kind of cozy, romantic, warming fire that can only be provided by a wood stove. The kitchen was stocked with all the home appliances, dishes and pans one would need. Hiking trails can be found EVERYWHERE within five minutes of the cabin. Groomed cross country ski trails are within a 10 minute drive from the cabin. Clearly, we loved our stay at the Palisade Cabin along Superior's North Shore."
