  • Wow - Beautiful Place!

"We had a great winter stay here! The condo was super clean and very spacious. The lake views are overwhelming - we could spend days just staring out the window. We did go cross country skiing on the Sugarbush Trail - really close by - and visited a pair of state parks for hikes. We also used the bike trail right in front for morning runs. We cooked in most nights and ate in for most meals and appreciated that the kitchen was really fully equipped with cookware, utensils, and dishes - and a real coffee maker! The bed was firm and comfortable and the hot tub was great. Thanks, Rick - we'll be back!"

  • Great Old Northern MN Cabin

"This cabin reminded me of my family's old Northern Minnesota cabin and was very much what I wanted to show my kid....a taste of what it was like when I was younger. It is a classic cabin with an amazing location on the lakeshore and the views and experience were top notch. The cabin was well maintained and accurate to the website description. The check-in procedure and response from the owner were as advertised and helpful. I would recommend this cabin to others and consider staying there again."

  • Our great escape to Grand Marais!

"It was my second stay at this lovely, comfortable and homey cabin this year. Every thing was there we needed and we had a wonderful memorable 4 days. Monica and Jerry had everything ready for us. Beautiful location on pike lake, starry nights and so much more. We loved it! Theresa"

  • Amazing quaint cabin on the lake!

"This cabin was one of the best vacations we've ever had! I was nervous because the reservations were made while my wife (the eternal "hotel snob"!) was away on a business trip, but shortly after our arrival we were all thrilled with the accommodations. This cabin is not modern or freshly updated, but was an amazing get away for the three of us. The owner's photos do not do the beauty of this cabin justice! (The TV and living room furniture have been updated from what is shown in the photos.) Here are just a few of some of the things we loved about this cabin: You are close enough to throw a rock off the deck and have it "plop" into Lake Superior. We saw deer in the yard daily, and were able to relax by a wonderful fireplace each night at the end of a long day of hiking the many beautiful state parks in the area. (We originally stayed there to ski at Lutsen, but we ended up spending our days hiking at the many beautiful state parks instead...they are amazing!) There was plenty of firewood stored for us to have a fire in the fireplace each of the three nights we were there. There are three queen beds in cabin that are very comfortable. Although we didn't use them during our stay, there is a full-sized washer and dryer available in the mud room/entryway area. It had snowed the day before our arrival, but the driveway was well plowed for easy access when we arrived for our stay. The kitchen is clean and well-stocked with all of the dishes, pots, and pans you will need to make great meals. (bring your own food) There is also a Weber (charcoal) grill on the deck (bring your own charcoal). Truly a fantastic experience. Superior Solitude......Thanks for a great stay. We were certainly sad to leave, but will be back!"
